Very interesting to see in the members email that came out today - the pic of Mark Jamar holding a Hisense banner in a posed photo? Could this mean something? They have been promoting their brand throughout Melbourne obviously with the naming rights to the old Vodafone arena?! They might just well want to promote themmselves on our jumpers...

They might be a minor sponsor or just a donor to the appeal. I hardly think a major sponsor would blow a major sponsorship announcement in that way.

I did hear 2 days ago that "we are about to get some good news, watch this space" but many of us have heard this enough reciently and it definately was not inregards to the MCC re-union speculation. Still lets still cross our fingers. I wonder if there might be some big news saturday or next week in line with a membership drive?

Hmmm....Hisense eh? I have honestly never heard of them before?!

However, I do like the red and blue zip-up jackets that the Demons players are wearing. I wouldn't mind one of those myself. I'll have to check if they actually do sell them at the Demon shop? ;)

I suspect that you are on the money. Hisense has no connection to the bushfire appeal. It is however a Chinese TV/appliance brand that is marketing vigorously in this country.

Pretty fair educated guess I reckon, but a guess nonetheless. Lets hope it's confirmed soon .

Don't get excited folks...

It says above the photo that Hisense and a couple of other companies provided some product that the club passed out to the community...

They are looking to increase their exposure. Much the same as LG previously.

I won't get carried away, but I've not seen any previous arrangements between Hisense and the club, yet there they are in the photo...

At the very least there is some kind of communication between the club and Hisense which there wasn't before.

It's quite possible that this has been a first little baby step in ongoing cooperation...

That might be the case, but why would one of our players pose in a photo holding one of their signs. No need for it unless we were to get something out of it? Why wasn't Jamar holding up a sign of any other company that were donating product if that's the case?

It was definitely suggested at the Summit that the MFc investigate emerging brands from India and China as posible sponsors. Seems more co-incendental in this instance. Youd expect a little more fanfare..lol

It is just me or is the off-field gear the players are wearing absolutely hideous?

I just thought I'd throw it out there.

Maybe they figure sponsors will pay more to get the players out of the hideous gear?
