Haha. I remember around that time i didn't pay too much attention to off field issues, draftees etc so i had no idea who Michael Clark was, or that it was his debut.

I was listening on the radio and when Clark kicked the goal i remember getting [censored] off because i thought it was one of St. Kilda's Clarkes, was pretty suprised when i they said 'Great goal by the Dees'.

I don't know what happened to Michael Clark, I remember wanting him to get a game and being away when he finally did and missing his one and only AFL goal. Also remember he had, at one stage, broken both his arms?!

For those who remember Luke Spears he was trying his luck in modeling for a while. Saw his photo in an agency book while I was doing some model-casting at work! :D

Michael Clarke is currently playing football in WA, I cant remember which WAFL club (or otherwise) for though. I was sitting at a Storm game one night this season, and had my demons cap on and the woman next to me proclaimed her son used to play for the Demons. So I had a good chat to her, a very friendly person.

Plays for East Perth I believe.

There was a Michael Clark on the Frem/Coll lists from the same era (1996-2000), who went on to play FC cricket for WA.

He was the son of Wayne Clark, the medium pace seamer who played for Australia in the mid 70's.

Different Michael Clark.

Someone I play with was with him at Ranges.

Reckons he had a huge tank so he basically ran his opponents off their legs at U18s.

Unfortunately for him it would seem he was unable to do the same at AFL (or alternatively just wasn't good enough)
