who else got it? he asked me to press 1 if I wanted a player to call me back tonight during a debt demolition telethon, so I did and now I'm hanging out to see who the lucky player ends up being...

Yes I did. I said, "Hang on a sec Jimma!" ...and put him on hold.

Only kidding. I love his enthusiasm, and I hope the Dees break through the $2.6m barrier tonight.

Debt Demolition Telethon? Does that mean they'll have players & staff on the phone tonight during The Footy Show calling members to donate?

I've already donated to the Debt demolition fund... maybe that's why I didn't get a call. Bugger I wish I had held back just to hear from Jimma !!!!

I've already donated a couple of times, and got a call.....maybe they haven't reached you on the database yet.

Jimmy does this? That's a good idea IMO.

yeah he came down and sat next to us (in the reserved seat area) for the best part of the last quarter against the lions, made the vibe even bigger helping us all on the way to not being able to hear the final siren!

Ha ha I have had the phone ring a few times but I always let it go to the answering machine so I don't get telemarketers, So I doubt I'll "get" that call :)

Have no money to give this week either :( So prob a good thing I don't answer :)

You're a screener? That's terrible.

Not really, just lazy :P

No when I was on crutches and with a broken pelvis I would not get up, but if some one left a message I would eventually get back to them, now I just do not answer, bar my parents and sister, no one ever calls my home number.

Yep I got the Jim Stynes Phone call as well this morning, and I pushed 1 so a player could ring me back for a donation to Debt Demolition

Well a player did ring me back......about 20 minutes ago

It was Cameron Bruce

Had about a 10 minute call about the club and how we were starting to play a better style of footy under Dean Bailey.

That is the best $200 that I will ever spend

couldn't agree with you more nugget, putting aside his football career, as a leader jim stynes has a presence, is present, has the fire in his belly for the club and keeps it well stoked.... which in turn keeps us all fired up...

he is inspiring and displays true leadership, we couldn't ask for anyone better.

go the mighty demons!

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

The Demons head back to Melbourne after an embarrassing loss to the Dockers to take on the Magpies at the MCG on Kings Birthday. With a calf injury to Lachie Hunter and Jacob van Rooyen possibly returning from injury who comes in and who goes out?
