As much as i love watching Trapper play, and been chastised by Rhino for expressing this, i have moved on. Though most of you have been a little harsh!!! He'll stay in Bris and play well for them.

The powers at MFC have been blatantly obvious in regards to the age policy and playing kids. Most of them are showing good signs at this stage.

LOL this is hilairious

yeah, we really want a 29 year old SOFT [censored] at the club, when we are intent on a youth policy.

Not to mention a 29 year old SOFT [censored] who has already had 10 years tt he MFC and did sweet FA.

He is Brisbanes problem now. Thanks for Jack Grimes, Mr.Matthews.

He's thrown enough barbs at the club since he left to ensure he'll never be welcomed back.

We don't want him either.

We don't want him either.

From my perspective he has only expressed fondness for thc club and his former mates here .

Remember he didn't want to leave , the club gave him an offer he couldn't refuse !

I'd personally take him back in an instant

Let's not get carried away with our importance after an emotion charged win - we're still not world beaters and the rebuilding process is many years in the making !

He's too old to work into Melbourne's fold again.

He doesn't fit in with the gameplan and attitude that Dean Bailey wants of his players.

And our facilities aren't good enough for him.

Posted

We're currently paying for the luxury of not having to put up with his waxing and waning.. Money well spent !!

He'd be on a two year deal now, so at the end of next year, when he's 29 nearly 30 he can come back as our second pick in the PS draft... ;)

Honestly though, this is garbage. He's been in the media saying the exact opposite... and if Brisbane make the finals this year and he plays, he'll change his tune anyway.

How would you feel if you were Valenti or Buckley, or maybe CJ and you got the club into a stronger position, and in waltzes TJ and just walks onto the back flank at your expense?

I'd be [censored]...

Suffice to say ...not everything portrayed by the media in a one team town will necessarily be on the money !! lol

Yeah totally.

Our facilities are so bad, he got an infectious disease while there... you know lazyitous.

This sounds like a completely false rumour (for a change  ), but even if it's true, he can keep on dreaming.

Crybaby, because he finally has to work for his spot after 10 years of doing nothing to keep his spot.

Stay there in QLD

you know...there are reasons you get rid of people in the first place !!!

Exactly. But who knows maybe hes tidied himself up?

He won't be back.

Despite reports from some, there was no tension between Bailey and TJ when Bails came in. Bailey said he wanted to play TJ on the HBF, TJ said he's a midfielder, not a defender, and the two of them agreed they'd find a trade for Travis.

I wouldn't take him back either. We'd have no use for him.

Reminds me of an analogy I was told once by a very successful businessman.

When giving references for people who he had previously employed, no matter how glowing, inevitably he would confront the oldest question in the book, "would you employ them again".

He told me that no matter who they were his answer was always "No".

He said that people were often shocked until he gave his explanation. He would tell them that, "As a company & entity, we are always evolving, we are always trying to be better. We dont look back, we look forward. For whatever reason that someone left, their time there was done and new blood and ideas is what is needed. "

I appreciate this is a large generalisation and that at the top teirs of management this is ineviably flawed in busienss but I like the ideal it stands for.

On the same basis I would not take back Trapper, although previously my favorite player, his time with the MFC is done.

TJ stated in the media that he had spoken to a few people about playing on a HBF, they thought it'd be good for him and he was enthusiastic, and then when away on holidays he found out he was on the trade table.

Exactly. But who knows maybe hes tidied himself up?

Even if he has, he's too old. Better to use that spot on our list for a young kid.

I didnt realize that Daniher was hated so much??

I didnt realize that Daniher was such a poor coach?

He is still a gun player. The only way I would take him, is for John Meeson, and the Lions pay for 60% of his salary. We know this will not happen.

Travis will ALWAYs be a demon, no matter what. But his time as a demon player is over.

Spoke with Patrick again tonight.

Travis just generally misses the MFC. Doesnt like living in Brisbane and the training the Lions do.

I think Patrick had spoken to him tbh.

I'd like to see what we gain by getting Travis back. There's a reason we dropped him

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
