The sign Filth cheer squad held up at the end of the match.

I got a close look at that fight in the MCC Reserve. I was in the same bay on Level 1; and all these people stood up so naturally I had to have a look. It was between a young (20 ish) Melbourne supporter and a 40ish year old man, who was wearing no club colours. I have no idea what the fight was about. There were some others involved. The 40yo man was taken with the St. Johns people; appeared to have been punched a few times in the face, then returned with a MCC Staff member who moved his family to another location (there were 5 or so of them.)

The young demon's supporter was originally asked "Membership Card or visitors ticket" then taken downstairs with some security officers. A few minutes later he returned; however before even getting back to his seat 3 Staff Members and 1 security officer were on him and escorted him back. He never returned.

I was in the forward pocket, city end in the MCC members and didnt notice any fight

Didak (i think?) also made a gesture swinging his head in a circular motion 4 times towards the members after the last Collingwood goal.

Sorry but what do you mean by this?

He wasn't swinging his head, he was looking for Christopher Wayne Hudson in the crowd, he needed a lift home.

just accpet it... we've beaten you 2 times running now... and yes i know you guys beat us 4 years in a row. now unlike "all collingwood supporters" i am not a "filthy, inbred bogan." some of us actually have a bit of common sense. so dont stereotype all of us... i could say your all "plum-throated-bentleigh-driving-corporate-box-sitting-east-melbourne-mansion-living-up-yourself-morons" but im not going to, because i know that your supporters arent really like that. the bottom line is we won, you lost... its football...

haha yes it is. but two times in a row isnt anything to brag about, spec not considering how we've been travelling recently. the sign was not very well thought out, arrogant and showed how much collingwood supporters think of them selves and their club. above the rest of the competition.

and you may be right about 'sterotypes' however two things are for certain. more collingwood supporters have less teeth than melbourne supporters (and im talking percentages here), and more melbourne supporters have nice cars and houses (and im not talking percentages this time). its the way of the world. we cant help it if we're a better sort of people ;)

your not a better sort of people. if anything people who live in big houses and are plum throated etc are very, very unpleasant sort of people to be around. i personally have never seen a toothless football supporter at all... because i sit in the members maybe? yeah "no teeth" this and "big house" that. its all rubbish. all i know is im a collingwood supporter, i have teeth and we beat you on monday. ACCEPT IT. ;) nothing that you say change that. case closed.

who'd you steal them from?

well thank you for proving me right, all melbourne supporters musnt be from high walks of life if someone like you exists. on a side note, how can a club with so many rich supporters be so poor? im serious here why cant these rich plum-throaters support their financially pitiful club? i'd hate to see you guys in west sydney in 10 years time...

Back to the fight question. Right in front of me- 2 rows down in Section 42 MCC area. From what I can gather Dees V Pies battle. Security were there very quickly but the combatants still managed to get a shiner before some other guys stepped in and held them back from each other. Lots of upset people around who got pushed and shoved by the 2 idiots.

I am not impressed with anyone who has to resort to physical violence at any time! It is also not what I want my granddaughter viewing at the footy either.

You mean as opposed to Collingwood supporters? I've met and spent time with people in big houses and I know who I prefer to spend time with.

i personally have never seen a toothless football supporter at all...

Then you don't see as much football or leave the house often enough to pass comment.

all i know is im a collingwood supporter, i have teeth and we beat you on monday. ACCEPT IT.

When did you come to the conclusion we haven't accepted it? We've lost all but one game this year. We're not deluded into thinking we've won more. We KNOW we're finally going to get the picks required to bottom out properly.

And here's some other chestnuts for YOU to accept. Your club only succeeds because it has money. Not because it has a stronger culture, or more right to the throne than any of the other 16. We know this better than most because we were there 40 years ago, and it took only a few years to lose our stranglehold.

Here's another that you won't accept, that you should... Collingwood will win exactly the same amount of premierships in 2008 as Melbourne. So you can have the 4 points you won against a clearly undermanned and young side, with the enormous 21 point thrashing you gave us.

Now. Once and for all, if you want us to get off your ground, get the F%#& off our website.

You're right, nothing we can say will change the fact we were beaten on Monday, much like nothing will change the history books that say we have beaten the "Collywobbles" in 6 grand finals!!

They can put whatever they like on their sign.

Here is the real fact:

Their "franchise" player for the next decade, "Dale Thomas" is a cream puff.

We have "Naita" to look foward to for the next decade. I would rather be bottoming out this year than being a top a side that is not capable of wining the flag!

It is I who pity them!

Heard a report of a very loud, unattractive, mean, nasty female Collingwood supporter walking into the MCG QB Monday with her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance.

The MCG attendant greeted her saying pleasantly 'Good afternoon, and welcome to the MCG. Nice children you have there. Are they twins?'

The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say, 'Hell no, they ain't! The oldest one's 9 and the other one's 7. Why the hell would you think they're twins? Are you blind, or just stupid?'

''I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am,' replied the attendant. 'I just couldn't believe you got laid twice. Have a good day and thank you for coming to the G.'

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out
