True key forwards:

Miller- plays well up the ground and isn't a goal kicker.

Bate- plays well up the ground and isn't a goal kicker.

Robbo- is 29 yrs old. need to look to the future

Newton- looks like he's lost the plot. doesn't have the attributes (slow, lacks intensity, skills below his knees shocking)

forward line looking very thin- we need to draft a gun forward asap

Whilst it's great to see our young key backs showing some promise, we still lack classy running defenders who have the skill and poise to get out of tight situations, and are creative with their use of the ball. If we're going to play a style of football the revolves around handballing when under pressure, Daniel Bell just don't cut it.

Down the track, I could see Morton and Petterd filling these roles.

It's amazing how things can change so quickly: now it seems as though its the forward line that is worse than the backline. I dunno about drafting Hurley as a forward when he's played in defence in his youth and he's getting such high appraisal down there. PJ could maybe play forward, more so if Meesen or Spencer develop into a proper ruckman, however I don't think that would be such a good idea.

Haven't seen anything in Morton to suggest that he could play KP.

They still have a long way to go, but if they can keep improving, then the signs are positive.

As well as they played on the weekend, I think having Green down there to give them assistance made a huge difference, as did the pressure from the midfield.

As a unit, they all seemed to help each other out which was most pleasing.

Totally agree.

If it wasn't for the pressure in the middle, the delivery to their forward line was average. Green also getting back kept the backline pressure on.

Pavlich played wing, so did Gehrig.

We need to develop a KP forward to take over from Neitz/Robertson. Newton is injured - physically and possibly mentally, so the fact that we drafted at Pick 4 a 192cm gun with great awareness, poise and skill means that I want to see him play a KP.

I am willing to wait but when he is 21 or 22 or want to see a more solid body and a move to a KP.

Delisted by MFC last year, ignored in PSD by other clubs. He mght have been real handy this year - wasn't very old either.

Ferguson was not good enough, and with little upside we're far better off getting games into Warnock, Garland, and Frawley.

I'm a HUGE rap for Warnock. Other backmen know he will be there to help out with spoiling and in running the ball out of the backline.

They are getting confidence in each other - a good thing which will get even better.
