Let me get this straight. The boss of the Tassie Hacks thinks the Melbourne Footy Club should play out of the Gold Coast? He just doesn't get it, does he? We are Melbourne, the establishment of footy, oldest footy club ever. And we're the Melbourne Football Club. You'd think that was pretty plain and simple to sink in. Does funny things to you, spending too much time down in the land of apples and the extinction capital of Oz (they've extincted the Tassie Tiger, Lake Pedder, their Aborigines and it won't be long before the Tassie Hawkers are heading the same way). Good riddance Jeff!

You know Robin Williams said that God gave men two brains and only blood enough to power one. In Tassie, the home of the W-neck jumper they've got one extra organ to take care of. It shows in the president of tas hawks' thinking. Poor form Jeff...oh and by the way, someone urinated and defacacted on your blazer... oh hell, my bad, you CHOOSE to wear that?!? Yeah... umm we'll take your opinions on board.

PS: Way to go Gardner with a fine display of balls in defence of the club. Do I agree with him? No. Will I stick with him while he remains president of this club? Hell yes. I love this club.

Nobody's bashing Tasmanians. We love them - especially Brad Green and Robbo. We're bashing the Tasmanian Hawks.

My theory is that Jeff is jealously trying to protect his club's own territory. They've set up camp at Waverley and Melbourne is eyeing the Casey area which is a bit further down the freeway. The City of Casey and the Shire of Cardinia are two of the country's biggest growth areas and will soon become the Waverley of the '70's and '80's with young families and the promise of a great area from which to draw support. With us at Casey, it restricts his club's prospects of tapping that market to the south and east of Melbourne.

Don't turn this into Tasmania bashing. It's a beautiful state & they don't deserve the dorks down there, who are just using them for the money. If the dorks were serious about their love for Tasmania, then they should bite the bullett & make a permanent move - after all, there isn't enough room in Victoria for 10 teams!!

When the Tassie gov't pulls the sponsorship in a few years, then we will see how committed they are to the Tasmanians.

and this ladies and gentlemen was a man voted out of parliament!!

he does not care about anyone other than himself and the people that agree with him

i would go so far to say that he was disloyal and lost many victorians their jobs

i do not want to get into a political argument, but this guy has a vision and he may do a good job for himself, but he could not give a [censored] about anyone else.

him and his tassie hawks can go injure themselves.

Sold their soul to play games in Tassie. They even have a Tassie logo on their jumpers.

Good old Whorethorn.

Pathetic.

The tiger is extinct, its the Tassie Devil that's on the endangered list.

Kennet always was a smart arse with a smart mouth. Nothing has changed.

DO NOT STRESS ABOUT ANYTHING KENNET SAYS.

Kennett has great form. As Premier he 'sold' the State that he presided over and, not content with that, he's now badmouthing the team that started our great game. Shame you low-life, shame!

Yeah you're dreaming. As Mrs HBT says, trouble with Dean Bailey is he's into all this thinking stuff but the man lacks passion. That's a woman's view (so don't argue with it!) She believes this side only wins when they get real passionate (like when Woname.. you know who I mean, kicks some inspirational goals and declares he's not about to lose).

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
