  1. I posted in the fixture thread over the week that I rang Bet Easy for the odds of that happening. They wouldnā€™t do it then, told me to ring them back in the new year. Will roll that up with a few certainties a whack $100 on it.
  2. Iā€™m glad weā€™ve got those teams twice, I donā€™t want to finish 4th like Collingwood last year on the back of only beating 1 top 8 team. We wanted to be a big club, we wanted big games and we got them. Very excited. Hawks have had draws like this for years.
  3. I counted 4, I may have been a Thursday night.
  4. Only 2 games then I realised weā€™re going back to back AFLX.
  5. Up until rd 22 last season what had we actually achieved?....nothing. Obviously we all want a better draw but I think we need to play the majority of the 2019 season like we did rd 22 - semi before we can start demanding too much.
  6. Looking at these two posts it shows how little depth we actually have. An 18 team competition stretches the talent so we are not alone. Would love Hunt to get his game together and be a regular starter.
  7. How do they all fit in?
  8. I rang Bet Easy today to aquire odds for the Suns not to win a game next year. I was told I will have to wait until early next year. This year they won 4 games including upset of the year beating the Swans in Sydney. Having lost both Lynch and May I canā€™t see them winning a game, making history if it is to happen.
  9. He will deserve some credit.... I was going to ask you what you meant by that but then I remembered how well he played in the first two weeks of the finals.
  10. I think thatā€™s realistic, Iā€™ve always thought key forwards should go into every game with the mindset of 1 goal a qtr. Obviously that wonā€™t always happen but I think itā€™s a good starting point, aim high.
  11. 2019 season.... Freo will beat up on weaker sides at home and Hogan will kick 5. Heā€™ll be the star that the club didnā€™t do enough to keep. Freo get challenged by stronger sides at home or when on the road and Hogan fails to impact the game. But it will be the midfields fault and Ross Lyonā€™s gameplay, not playing to Hoganā€™s strengths. If he stayed at the Dees he would have no where to hide, inability to perform would be seen as exactly that, playing for Freo gives him an out. Once in a generation players(forwards) can take the big pack marks, kicks goals without having to be 20-30 metres out directly in front, kick goals from out side 50, kick them when the game is in the balance and dominate the big games.
  12. No Jones or Lewis in best 22 and thatā€™s how it should be by years end. Some posters have them on the bench as some kind of token gesture but natural progression should have them pushed out as season 2019 progresses.
  13. I think Oscar is coming along nicely but Iā€™d have Frost over him. Woukd like to see Hunt work on his disposal over summer and push one of Lewis/Jones out.
  14. A couple of teams have VDB being traded out.
  15. Who was the other player, I canā€™t think if him....
  16. Could we not have got pick 14.
  17. Why the Suns? Didnā€™t think they would be needed until later.
  18. Cracking post SWYL.
  19. My question is, why arenā€™t other clubs falling over each other in a bid to get his signature? Look what happened when Mitch Clark was supposedly going home.
  20. Exactly, any other possible suitors.....
  21. Thank you both for your replies. I would of thought if they traded Neale for 5, then 5 and next years first round for Hogan, then 6 for Lobb and a GWS pick of some description this whole this would be done. Itā€™s almost like theyā€™ve stuffed themselves for both trades now. Note : Iā€™ve been with no reception since this morning so just catching up with the latest.
  22. Ive clearly missed something, why did Freo trade out pick 6?
  23. Out of interest have we offered him an extension on his contract?
  24. 1-200 maybe, 4-5 is way too much to overlook. I think if he is after a big payday it has to be this year. If he stays at Melbourne we still have to fit everyone in and if he fails again against stronger opposition then it will/should affect his asking price. If he goes now thereā€™s still some buying into the ā€œpotentialā€ line.
  25. So are we thinking tomorrow morning there will be an official announcement?
