My 3 word player analysis V Hawthorn
Petraccaâs set shot.... I keep reading about these little things Petracca does. How about the big things? Like going back and slotting a very gettable goal, he continues to miss easy set shots. How about when thereâs a boundary throw in 30 metres from goal he starts 10 metres defensive side and bursts through the stoppage at pace collecting the tap from Gawn and slots one on the run. Whilst I acknowledge the small things are important in having the complete game some place too much importantance on them to divert away from the fact he is still yet to really deliver. Still very tradeable at this stage.

Round 7 Non MFC matches
I didnât see any of the game, was at dinner, for mine both teams move the ball quickly and both are relentless when they donât have it. Difference being as you say âPies have the skillâ, Tigers donât so it becomes âchaosâ. Pies need to work at maintaining the rage, the last 2 weeks after great opening qtrs theyâve let the opposition kick 5-6 goals in the 2nd. Whilst they won both games the Bombers nearly got them. On a side note the food at Chinchin in Flinders lane is beautiful.

Round 7 Non MFC matches
Collingwood have expanded Richmondâs game plan by introducing skill to it.

Round 7 Non MFC matches
It amazes me that clubs still donât turn up mentally to games, Port and the Dees would be the top 2 without a doubt. A lot comes down to the clubs leaders, but itâs all right because we can always call them âgreat clubmanâ.

At the airport biding my time before the flight. My presence was clearly the difference when we played the Swans and am hoping for a win again tomorrow. Hoe many changes for both sides since lasts years semi final?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Ben Brown better contested mark than Hogan and can actually kick from outside 50.

Trade Petracca?
Big difference between getting a game and taking the team fwd, hence why theyâre no longer in the team.

What to do with Nathan Jones
Hibberd has 1 year left but should be paid out. Garlett also to go. Jones should play the remainder off the season if fit, the other 3 should make way for the kids. I donât subscribe to the rebuild theory, I honestly believe we can be next year where we all thought we would be this season.

PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
If Brandon Ellis was playing for us tonight would that swing the game in our favour? What about Prestia, Broad or Edwards? Balta, Stack, Higgins or Baker? Tigers game plan as mentioned earlier relies on speed and pressure, and on current form being us getting pantsed by the Saints and Tigers beating Port at home missing five of their best doesnât look good for us. We clearly donât have as many skilled ball users as Collingwood but we need to do what they did and match Richmondâs pressure, there will be no excuses for not doing that. We need to lay some big bone crunching tackles and hurt them. Starting with Jones, line someone up and clean them up....fairly. Pushing and shoving equates to nothing. Our intensity must be there for four quarters or donât bother at all. And the ability to hit the scoreboard would go a long way to winning this game. Id love to know what Jones has done if anything with regards to getting the guys up for this game. Carn the Demons.
