  1. I just read your post quickly (I'm at work) 2018 marks my 14th year as a Redleg, I was under the impression that a reserved seat cost extra? I thought the standard Redleg allowed you to sit level 2 , Great Southern Stand N1 - N4 first in gets pick of seats. N5-N6 is for reserved seats. Thats what I've thought all this time.... Having said that I'm probably wrong.
  2. Is that an interstate membership Hardtack? And if so what does that give you? cheers
  3. Does anyone know how quick Dion is with regards to leg speed?
  4. It would have to be all the elite trainers wouldn't it.....
  5. Where were all these standards and elite trainers at the club when we lost Freo, Hawthorn, North and Collingwood? These games weren't lost because of our bad run of injuries mid year. What do any of us really know about Rockliff's behaviour off the field this year or any other. We hear interviews or read articles and just like stats we chose the ones that suit our narrative. Rockliff has 2-3 years of good football left and his best is better than Vince's, compare their output this year Ive always said Port was the wrong choice for Watts but it was probably his only one.
  6. I read yesterday that Port traded Lobbe to Carlton for pick 95 in a bid to free up some salary cap space. If that's the case why are we paying any part of Watts salary. If he was on 500k as some suggest it looks as though Port played us nicely. Still think we should of chased Rockliff and if we landed him we could of retired Vince. And can I now assume that no player has any excuses going into next season. People constantly brought up Watts incomplete game, well he wasn't alone.
  7. Gray, Boak, Dixon, Hartlett, Wines, Wingard and Ryder all stars? 7 stars yet we smashed them late in the season, they struggled to beat a top 8 team all year and the majority of those names went missing week 1 of the finals when the game was in OT and the heat was on. I personally think Port was the wrong choice for Watts but it may of been his only one.
  8. 3 would make him 30 then we could have reassessed. Regardless we should have went after him, costing only salary cap.
  9. Is Frost in it? And your thoughts on not going after Rockliff. cheers
  10. I would of taken Rockliff over Vince but not for 4 years at 650k a year.
  11. I think most of us are aware of Watts attitude with regards to training, no doubt he could apply himself better, but there are still numerous situations during a game when I'd rather the ball be in his hands than that of his teammates.
  12. I'm in the Watts to stay camp. Having said that I think Port is a poor choice, I would of thought Sydney or Geelong would of suited him better and would increase his chance of success.
  13. What are Hogans strengths and weaknesses than compare them to Hawkins and Cloke.
  14. Charlie Cameron requests trade to Lions and we're away again....
  15. Agree about Vince, I would of rather we went for Rockcliff over Vince and I think we could of got him.
  16. I agree, I think the only two players that are A grade on our list are Gawn and Oliver, others like Petracca have potential but aren't there yet.
  17. Not sure how you have come to the conclusion that Watts kicking is overrated. Not only is our best user of the football by foot he'd be one of the best in the league. Not many players can slot goals from the pockets like he does. The problem in his early years was that Watts would kick the ball to space where his teammate should be but we had players who didn't know where to run. Watts has faults in his game but kicking isn't one of them.
  18. Probably mentioned before.... Just reading Sydney are interested in him. Whilst I'd prefer he stay should he go to Sydney I hope Tippet isn't part of the deal.
  19. What are the knocks on his game : His preparation/doesn't come to play every week? Well that's still half our list because even after everything that's happened the players still don't get it. His attack on the ball/contest? Whilst it has improved he's never going to go in like Viney does. But Watts brings what the majority of the list doesn't. Salems still got some way to go before he's got Watts covered.
  20. Put Watts aside, how would Hogan go in a grand final, based purely on his football ability, would teams be able to shut him down easily. For a key forward he excels in some areas such as contested marking and ability to cover the ground, but can't take a pack mark, struggles for distance when having a shot on goal and isn't the most accurate shot. I remember after we played Brisbane in round 22 posters shouted down anyone who had dare questioned him (yes just the fact he was playing was nothing short of amazing considering what he's gone through this year) when he kicked 6 straight. 5 of the 6 were 10-15 metres out directly in front, do we think in finals he's going to get the same kind of space. Whilst watching all the finals this year I've wondered how all our forwards would fare, some very capable key forwards from other teams have struggled for different reasons. It's as if there's a collective thought process that once Hogan gets a good run at it that the areas in his game that he struggles with will just automatically sort themselves out and he'll come good. Joe Danniher seemed to remarkably improve his accuracy this year, that for me was the only area he struggles in as key forward, Hogan struggles in three and as we know there are plenty of examples of players who have struggled their whole career with fundamental basics of the game.
