We are already in a dilemma on who to bring in next week (Mitchie, Kent, etc) so I suggest let us sitback and continue to watch Roos work his magic. What we really need [and something that all Demonlanders can have an influence on] is 15,000 new members, taking us to 50,000+ and making us one of the powerhouse Victorian Clubs!

With Sandilands possibly retiring and Gawn on the rise here, maybe we can trade involving Fyfe for Pencil and an astute draft pick trade? After all, we also have Fitzpatrick and King in reserve here and will have less immediate need for a ready-to-go ruckman that Freo. As for Sheil, and the main topic of this post, if we can replicate the Tyson trade at year's end [with a much wiser GWS] then our recruiting division will be absolute heroes!.

I loved Todd Viney's tackle on Liam Jones which was featured in a photograph on page 40 of today's Herald-Sun. I hope that we don't get penalised next week for playing Todd when he wasn't named nor is he on our list!

I am surprised that some posters were unimpressed with Salem. The goal that he kicked when he was first substituted was inspiring! I am sure the Roos will select him again next week!

Is Roos really grooming the backline without him or is he seriously re-inventing him as a forward [due to the loss of Clark and the current absence of Hogan]? Personally, I am more inclined to think that this may be the case given Dunn and Pedersen's improvement, Garland's imminent return (plus Georgiou's promotion onto the Senior list).

The trade to get Tyson and Salem looks very inspired now! (Also interesting to see how many posters have recently re-evaluated Pedersen and Dunn!)

Yes but Frawley may play forward and Garland is playing for the Scorpions!

This seems to me his approach and i applaud it. How would he have known at the start of the season that he would not have had Clark or that Hogan would not be on the track by now (or Dawes a late starter). i applaud the fact that he is using Frawley forward (in lieu of Clark) and i am assuming Perderson playing in the forward pocket is to set up the structure till Hogan comes in (when Pedrson can drift back to Frawley's expected role). I am sure that Frawley, Dawes and Hogan will prove as successful as Clark, Dawes and Hogan and that with Garland coming back, we can adapt to the other parts of Roos game plan, especially now that Georgiou has been promoted and Dunn has stepped up. Looking forward to tomorrow evening against the Swans!

Why would they award us a PP if we win 5 games? Last year we only won 2 games and didn't get a pick. The whole thing is a farce ( as we should have got Boyd last year).

I am going for causing an upset against the Swans (after all we beat Carlton when we were playing away and we have a home game this week)!

I agree with all players mentioed by the previous posters. I also regard the Tyson & Salem trade for pick 2 was one of our most inspired trades for some time. I cannot wait to see Salem playing regularly in the Ones.
