Simple solution would be for the MCC Yarra Park Trust to give Richmond FC their marching orders and paint the Punt Road oval social facilities red and blue!

Matt Jones with seven in seven minutes

Watching the stats from Fiji, Melbourne seven players are leading the disposals.

I live even closer and dread night matches between Collingwood and Carlton. Apart from being woken by bogans, l can never park in front of my house and l usually awake to find the the environs are trashed!

I am posting from Fiji where l am a volunteer with Projects Abroad (June-August) on a Shark Conservation Project. Tomorrow l am catching the bus into Suva to watch the Cats play the Tigers in their Aussie Rules Grand Final! This year, l have also posted from Cyprus, Maui and Hong Kong and last year l posted from Venice, Berlin, Munich, London, New York and San Francisco.

If Eddie is asking for $200000 compensation from the AFL because only 40,000 turned up to watch the Pies and the Blues at the G, perhaps we (& the Doggies) should be asking $300000 because we only got 25000? In fact if we got compensated for every MCG Twilight Game, we may very well end up one of Melbourne's wealthiest Clubs? Eddie should be happy just to get 4 Premiership points!

Why should the Hawks have it on their own in throwing money at (out-of-contract) Crotchin [as reported in this morning's paper]? He would be a very good midfield pick-up for us if Roos could wrangle it!
-
Actually Terlich was the emergency as Blease played for Casey and Terlich was held back. Notwithstanding, Mitchie sounds like a logical swap for McKenzie and Blease for Salem if Roos wants to rest him.

6. Vince 5 Dunn 4 Cross 3 Watts 2 Dawes 1 N. Jones (& Matt played OK as well)

Don't worry about Jimmy. Think how long it took for Lyndon Dunn to become the player he is for us now!

I am pretty sure that we won't have 100,000 there today so you should not have any trouble rolling up and getting a decent seat.

Maybe you can outline some of the things what makes it so 'obvious' as it eludes me?
-
Terlich was the only one of the three nominated emergencies who didn't play for Casey yesterday out of our three named so discusion on Blease and Nicholson in reagrds to today's match is somewhat superflous.

Seems to me that the best scenario would be that the Dees vs Swans game alternate between Melbourne (MCG) and Sydney and that [on alternate years] the Western Bulldogs play Greater Western Sydney therefore ensuring that the fans of both cities get to see a Melb/Sydney rivalry 'home' game each year with no single team getting any specific advantage in the way of a permanent home advantage, gate takings etc.

If he was 'goneski' then it was not extremely obvious to his teammates who voted him back into the leadership group. I cannot believe that things are continually 'obvious' to some Demonlanders but excape the attention of Roos and those inside the actual Club?

With Blease, Terlich and Nicholson named for Casey, it appears no change!

How about Sabdringham where we started?

Rested not dropped.

If it galvanises them in the same manner that the death of Tom Hafey galvanised Richmond, i will take it!

Actually, from the review it sounds equally likely that we will see McKenzie in the side with 23 possessions in a half of football! Dean Kent: Dean had 22 possessions. He played half-forward and wing. It was a really solid performance from Kenty this week. He played with good speed and power. He kicked the ball much better than he has in previous weeks in poor conditions. Dean also finished with three goals, which was a major impact on the game. Jordie McKenzie: Jordie had 23 possessions. He played on ball and it was a typical McKenzie game. He was hard and tough around the stoppages. Jordie only played half a game, before he was removed to be the carry over emergency for the Queen’s Birthday game. He’s been in good form and continues to put his name up in front of the selection committee.

Yes but if we had kicked 10.3 instead of 3.10 then we would have beaten Collingwood by two points which is nearly as sweet as beating them by a solitary point.
