After last night he would be embaressed to run out on the field with Carlton. I like your suggestion that he be packaged up with another Tyson-type mid from GWS, especially if Frawley departs and we can utilise the compensation pick for the swap!
-
There is no guarantee that they are going to line up as named. Our interchange includes Bail, Kent, Salem and Mitchie and i expect to see them feature in the forward structure as well as rotating through the midfield.
-
Perhaps because he kicked a third of our goals last Saturday and was not named in our forward line [and the goal he kicked was whilst under pressure in conjestion]. Perhaps it is our forwards we should be trading rather than a No. 1 draft pick who will possibly excell in a decent team? Talk of trading off a No. 1 draft pick, whilst at the same time making application for a low PP, seems disingenious to me and I am sure that the AFL would see it the same way. Seems pointless giving us another low pick when we consistently demonstrate that we neither know who to chose or how to develop them.

Footscray v Casey Scorpions (Jesse Hogan returns)

An emergency for the Ones at the "G" perhaps? -
It is the other way around! The AFL have been costing us money for years, most lately by scheduling the majority of our matches at 4.40pm of a Sunday afternoon. No wonder we are skint. When Carlton or Collingwood get an occassional game scheduled in this time frame (or at Etihad) they scream blue murder and threaten to sue the AFL seeking $.5M compensation for loss of takings. Remember everybody, the MCG was and is our historic home ground ever since we were the Melbourne Cricket Club Football Club and these more powerful Clubs only got to play there at Finals time or when they played us (and we got the bulk of the takings as the home team). Don't run away with the idea that the AFL doesn't owe us big time for how they have crucified us and we should even get a second priority pick for the one we lost out on last year when we won two matches. I am so over Eddie Mcguire!

It is not only possible it is extremely likely if St Kilda put up a show against Richmond and we get poleaxed by the Eagles in the West and the Bulldogs at Etihad, then that is precisely where we will end up.
-
What about Petterd who will probably end up playing Finals with Richmond?

As i notice that you don't have a sub, i would make Watts the sub

It's the players, not the coach(es)!

You didn't seem to notice that Jack scored 1/3 of our goals yesterday despite not being named as a forward. Not only that but he did it wheeling from the middle of a pack under pressure. There are more problems in our team than using Watts as the whipping boy! -
Welcome to the Melbourne Demons - Christian Petracca.
CBDees replied to Coup Cooper's topic in Melbourne Demons
I say let's bring back the (Grand Final) tradition of swapping jumpers after the match. The best thing for us yesterday would have bee for the teams to have swapped their jumpers and then run back through the opposing race, In that way we would have had a reasonable team front up next week. -
Can we swap lists with GWS?

Players to target at the end of the year
CBDees replied to JackVineyForPresident's topic in Melbourne Demons
After today, I wouldn't mind doing a straight swap of lists with GWS! -
You could really appreciate this win by Brisbane when you live in East melbourne such as I do. There was a constant stream of disgruntled Pies supporters leaving the "G" early. it was music to the ears!
-
It seems that instead of players the Melbourne Football Club should be aiming to recruit Australia's top sports pyschologist who can turn around this problem (and get Mitch Clark back playing for us again)!
-
A game where a successful tank will be all but nigh impossible. On this basis, [since we forego Petracca], then let's hope that we can follow it up with commanding wins over the Eagles in the West and North at Etihad, with Hogan kicking a bag in the last game of the season. The above is adopting a "glass half-full" philosophy!

Barry won't be out as Hogan will play at Casey!

You forget that Gawn is the second-tallest player running around in the AFL and is younger than Sandilands. Certainly there is potential for the making of a unique weapon there!

Oh;, and the other seventeen team's players aren't, even without Misson to manage their fitness?

Interesting article in that it mentions Lucas Cook amongst the goal scores. -

Hopefully, we have Salem, Toumpas and Trengrove coming back with another pre-season under Roos and committed to proving to Demonlanders why they were all top ten draft picks! (Maybe also Watts with something to prove?) -
I cannot fathom how you claim that our efficiency inside 50 was good. If we had of kicked 15.6 instead of 6.15 then I would agree. Five points and no goals in the second quarter, followed by 2.7 in the second half cost us a very winnable match!

Another game where we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!
