  1. Much as Sheil would be a good addition to our midfield structure, I feel that adding Jeremy Cameron to our forward line would be of much more benefit to the Club going forward. Our midfield has shown massive improvement this year with Tyson, Vince and Viney, bolstering it and the option of securing the best forwardline in the league should be pursued as a priority. Our midfield will continue to improve as Salem, Toumpas, Mitchie, etc get a few games under their belt.
  2. Forget Fyfe and Shuey; focus on Cameron from GWS to replace Clark as our third tall KPP.
  3. Yes but the only one we have is Hogan and the others are all a lot older and short term.
  4. I think that Hogan, Cameron & Dawes will be better still!
  5. I think that it is a no brainer. It would have to be Cameron for reasons highlighted by many of the posters here. To me Cameron could be the lynchpin for us seriously contending a Premiership, plus his presence in the team would prove to be a big incentive for our other top players to stay for the ride! Having the top CEO, top coach and best full forward in the league is a pretty enticing package for players to come knocking on our door.

  7. Plus we have Roos re-committing and the players playing to his plan and getting results. It would be an inspired move by his manager to talk to us and it would be a massive Win-Win whatever it costs!

  9. I cannot see why people would question him speaking perfect sense. What else is he expected to say after throwing away a lead? Despite the apologists referring to the youth of some of our players they are still professional and there is youth on both sides.
  10. Yes, especially if we can pick up Jeremy Cameron for a similar outlay to what GWS pay him!
  11. I am fully in agreement with you on this as he could be the missing link in our resurgence. I guess that Cameron did not appreciate their decision last weekend to play him as a key defender and with Boyd and Patton still on their list then they (GWS) can afford to do a deal. Would certainly help resurrect Roos' plans to develop a forward line around Dawes, Hogan and Clark. It would be a massive coup if we could pull it off in luring him to us [without having to sacrifice one of our own stars in a trade]. http://www.news.com....1-1226932258711
  12. Perhaps we should be spending a Mill! If Roos sees a need then I am sure the rest of the team will not begrudge adding such a potentially important KPP to our side, particularly if he brings success with him I cannot see a more important player on the table for us and we would rue it if we let the opportunity slip.

  14. Cameron would be ideal for us, particularly with Clark retired and freeing up space in our salary cap for a replacement KPF
  15. IMO we not likely to lose Chip now that Roos has committed for another year!
  16. Why drop Matt Jones and Riley for Kent and McKenzie? If it ain't broke don't fix it!
  17. Personally I feel that the decision of Roos to commit the extra year as coach and to declare that he is happy to remain with the Club after that in another role, will ensure our ability to re-sign anyone on our list. They would be mad if they didn't see the upside of where the MFC is going!
  18. And even better than that, I am sure that it will ensure that Chip will stay!
  19. Surely Boyd, although drafted as a FF at 200+, was always going to be in this category as NN? If we have received a PP [like we were entitled to with 2 wins last year] then I doubt that we would of overlooked Boyd [as we did when we had the choice of JW or NN]!
  20. I am surprised that nobody has mentioned Jamar at 31 years of age? Certainly he is playing well at the moment but how much longer have we got? Personally i would keep Fitzpatrick taking a long range view!
  21. On the contrary, everybody should inundate him with praise claiming that it is the best and most incisive article he has every written. maybe he might even get the message?

  23. If Brayshaw comes to us, mabe his father will merge North Melbourne with us to give us a 70,000+ membership (making us the largest membership base in the AFL) and create the Melbourne Kangaroos? As well as Swallow and a few handy players hopefully the AFL will also come to the party with a sizeable sum as a result of the merger.
  24. They have created room on the right-hand-side in case you had not noticed [however the way we are starting to play, soon we will need a team picture!].
  25. 50,000 should just be regarded as a start. We should be aiming for 60,000 members and to be one of the powerhouse Victorian Clubs. There is no ambition involved if we are always striving to play catch-up with Collingwood and Essendon [and lowly Richmond]: the Melbourne Football Club should be the envy of the league. p.s. If we keep churning out gutsy wins like last Saturday and Adelaide then this will become a self-fulfilling prophesy!
