  1. Nailed it. We give up nil and he’s very good insurance. We need midfield to be fit and strong across another hopefully very long year. Our contested footy is the best in the league.
  2. Dees could be looking at securing Mac Andrew with a first round pick themselves. It could be on a knife edge. I think it’s again a very smart move as there are a number of really quality players in the 10-20 range which the Dees might access if one slips down the order.
  3. Yes I think he has shown some ability in limited games but ultimately behind a few players in Pickett and Spargo so difficult to see him getting in. Chandler is on the cusp and Crows might give him a good opportunity. We also have Bedford in line for a small forward role or even Laurie as a small creative forward. Wishing him the best if he moves on.
  4. MFC is the “Best contested footy” side in the league. We just bought insurance to make sure this continues.
  5. Arthur Jones is in play. Eagles have not assigned him under NGA rules. Great news. Certainly impressed in WA v Allies u19s game. Good pace and skill for young wingman. Definitely on the radar.
  6. 83 games with Dees. 114 at the Essen bummers Set to join 200 club in 2022
  7. “Jetta joins magpies “ (Censored) deep breath deep breath ok he’s going to be a “development coach” at the filthy feral magpies … yes with their prior racist conduct I know he has to earn a living and pursue his ambitions …” and play for their VFL side” in their black and white jumper (censored) deep breath deep breath but we still love you Nev 💙❤️
  8. Showed some of the soft frees to the dogs !!!
  9. Get back to the real world “surely not another one “ ”Viney toepoke “ ”handball to oliver” ”streaming through” “BANG BANG BANG BANG” go Dees 💙❤️
  10. Thanks WJ. Tom Brown certainly a talented young footballer and has the athletic strengths to support his footy ability. Likely 25-30 pick so he could be on the JT radar.
  11. Agreed. Clearly once you have a falling out with the coach, his future was elsewhere. As I posted earlier, he was behind Steele, Crouch and Ross for inside mid roles. He also would have to compete in 2022 with Hannebery, and youngster Bytel. Dunstan can play. That’s not in doubt. Not sure though that the Dees are his best destination given we are covered already in inside mids.
  12. Adonski. I agree. I am hoping young Isaac Birt is our man. Youngster with South Adelaide. I watched the (streamed) full strength WA and SA UNDER 19s game earlier this year and Birt was one of the standouts. High kicking efficiency and good pace and run. Strangely not in Twomey’s recently named top 30 so Dees are a chance. Running skilled left footer wingman. I’m sure JT has him on the scouting list.
  13. Yes Adelaide get the compensation pick for Jake Kelly.
  14. Option 1 wins out. I was unsure if he would have got interest at his price and his age at another club. He will be handy in 2022 and should push into best 22 if he can pickup the defensive pressure game needed. His good Goalkicking and footy smarts are proven.
  15. Probably top 15-20 pick imv. Definitely a player.
  16. I agree he has AFL talent and was frustrated at the Saints at being behind Steele, Ross and Crouch. Got squeezed out. He would be behind Petracca, Oliver, Viney and competing with Sparrow and Jordon for future roles. He would command a starting role at other teams such as the Pies and even now perhaps the Tigers. Not sure we are the right next step.
  17. Go Dees. Premiers on everything imaginable!!!!
  18. Agree. Point 6 from my starting post. Mahoney trades were pivotal to our success. Melksham probably unlucky not to be added as well but Spargo’s good form kept him out all year.
  19. Jason Momoa - Dune trailer “Let’s fight like Demons”. Love it. Get him on board. Clearly our influence will spread far and wide.
  20. Dees are Premiers Dees are Premiers Dees are Premiers
  21. Agreed. Good points. It takes a lot to get right to get to the top.
  22. Bailey Rogers won the Sandover Medal during the week. He has moved from the half back role to the midfield at Claremont. Averaged 28 possessions a game and was able to go forward and kick goals as well. He wouldn’t walk into our best 22 but wouldn’t be out of place if he had to step up. I think he certainly could be very handy cover across half back, half forward or midfield. Certainly comes into draft contention if Melksham goes as a cheaper younger better versatile player.
  23. Melksham’s future and options Keep him? Handy experienced fringe 22 player, ready to go in case of injury. Can play mid forward role as backup to Fritsch, Sparrow, Anb. Potential wing backup if he had a big pre season and injury free. One year left on contract. Accept trade offer? After his 2018, the extension to end 2022 was probably on $450k contract per year. His contract update would be severely less and back to the $275k ish mark. He might want to seek out a “risk taker” club that offers him 2-3 yr contract. Not sure which club would that brave/foolish? At 30, it’s unlikely given he is a med sized forward and there’s plenty of such players around. Dees would likely take a current or future 3rd round (pick range 50-55) exchange in a heartbeat.
