  1. Really tough to gauge what is ahead for 2021. There’s 5-8 top youngsters who are standing out in the WA Colts and SA under 18s. But given no Vic under 18s in 2020, best indicator is 2019 under 16 championships. I’m still happy to trade out our MFC 2021 2nd pick for Tom Phillips as he brings a desperately needed fix straight away.

That’s the deal. Two years plus an option of a third year if ... Example - Must play at least 15 games each year over the 2021 and 2022 years to get 2023. Smith has to back himself
  3. He seems to get a lot of free kicks. Wouldn’t get those at Melbourne. But the number 50 is available so that’s a possibility!?!!!?

Jungle drums are beating. Smith might be tempted like Lewis, Hodge and Birchall to get a final 2 years elsewhere. He’s a chance !!
  5. Optimism. Get Phillips for 12 months before having to pay 2021 compo. And because our future 2nd 2021 pick will be in the 30s as we rise up the ladder ?
  6. Of those mentioned in the AFL website (Joeboy - in three words) Ben Brown - a probable addition Jared Polec - contract$ make unlikely Quinton Narkle - Definitely target now Tom Phillips- would fit nicely Alex Witherden - have to enquire
  7. I’m looking at Tom Phillips as the most likely gettable option. Age 24. Experienced. 90 games. 44 goals. Left foot wing. Fits straight in. Reasonable price in $ and trade. Offer 3 years which Pies wouldn’t. Offer our future 2021 2nd round pick.
  8. Absolutely Nooooooooooooo to any of these blokes

I’m throwing the kitchen sink at Hunter. He has strong ties to Dogs through his Dad (father-son Pick) but if we offered a 5-year deal, his manager might take the call and get a response. 200-1 chance but you can only ask the question !!!
  10. I agree Savage is easier to get and a lot cheaper. Saints might consider an early pick 66 type deal which is really just a nice way to exit a delisted player. Maybe swap OMc for Savage.
  11. no because I think he would cost to much in terms of $$$$$ and compensation in picks/players. He’s ok but not the fast wingman type we should use our $ to be chasing.
  12. Just to clarify. I hate all the other clubs. But there are degrees of hate. I hate the Suns the least.
  13. Cats in this form can beat anyone. But Pies are not even competitive to win the contested footy. Cats beating them at clearances 20-8.
  14. Mihocek. Ummmmm - yeh, naaaaah
  15. Could be interested depending on his $$ asked for. Savage was ok v tigers and knows how to kick a goal. But we have a few of his type do not a priority!
  16. Dees get Ben Brown + Kangas 2021 3rd round pick NMFC get Dees pick 23 + Dees 2021 2nd round pick Fair deal. He’s not worth more given his 2020. Take it or fu&@$)&&ff kangas
  17. Suns, Saints and Blues were into Watts through 2015 and Hawks in the 2016 post season. He stayed loyal. Says more than fuc@&&))ts like Scully who walked out as soon as he could.
  18. Agree. It’s a sad story. He needs help and support.
  19. Tmcd - your call. Big preseason to get into shape and get strong and agile. Eye of the tiger or f-off and take your big $$ elsewhere He got the big $ contract. Needs to earn it
  20. Jack Watts - what a lad? Still a young bloke who enjoys life. He never had the steel to take his game to the top level. Always thought footy was secondary. Jack loves golf and hanging out with family and friends. And mostly his mates from school and footy. He was a good player. That’s not to be questioned. His goalkicking was elite. He had such talent. Perhaps unfulfilled certainly. He is welcome back at Demonville any day. Perhaps a future MC for club events.
  21. Absolutely. Makes complete sense and helps consider oversight to Mahoney and Goodwin. Brad Green is a quality person and a good football man.
  22. Ollie Lord trained with the Dees and from what I saw in 2-3 sessions, and the Futures game last year, he reminded me of a young Tom Hawkins. But I would have liked to see more games to see if he was able to ā€œget the footy moreā€. Probably a good draft pick in 60s or a rookie. Wouldn’t be disappointed to see him on board the Demons train but like all key positions youngsters, we’d have to be patient with development.
  23. We asked for this for a few years now. Finally !! from me , it’s a YES YES YES
  24. Dees getting a gun forward!!!!!
  25. Phillips is gettable. Dream on if you think the Pies will trade Mihocek.
