MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 18
Ted Lasso replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Massive changes. Port should be worried -
Frost does some amazing things and he's improved a lot this season. Given where we are at I think it's about encouraging him to take the game on and back his talent and accept that he will make errors. For his mistake his marking and run and carry off half back has been a huge part of our improved form this season.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 18
Ted Lasso replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
The thing is given our ins, they'll be running off guys like watts, petracca, Salem, and maybe someone like Kennedy. If they stuff it up we will be able to seriously hurt them. Im very confident our boys will get up for this one and deliver a strong win. Port are still a little bit unproven against strong opposition and I think we are a much bigger chance than most people are giving us -

I see us winning minimum three probably more on the way home giving us 12 wins minimum we are in the box seat. I don't see the 8 changing from how it is now I think that's the best 8 teams -
Our best 22 if we make it.

Given a good amount of our key players have missed a few weeks recently I wonder if that might give us a little edge in the fresh legs department when we get to the last 2-3 rounds -

Because I don't need to saty, any poster who went through your posts would see the amount of times you dismiss any negative views of players without actually disputing their point based on "the coaches know better" or " but I talked to him and" im sorry I've hurt your ego. -

Stuie was the master of this. saty is also pretty good at dismissing points without actually providing his own. -
Realistically the crows would want this and next years first rounders at least for lever.

Port 50/50 north 55/45 giants 40/60 saints 50/50 lions 60/40 pies 55/45 i think we need four wins to lock in finals all are winnable, i think we will win the next two games lose to the giants and beat the saints, lions and pies -
I thought we were quite good considering the players missing and we were clearly out classed. Hogan and gawn looked to be finding a little bit of touch late in the game and with blokes coming back I am backing us to knock off port at the g

I'm not very worried about Jesse, the thing about last night was he was getting space getting to the right spot and dropping the mark or missing the shot so he's doing 95% of it and just not quite finishing. Over the next few weeks i think a few more of those will begin to stick and his confidence will come back.

This could easily be 100 plus points. We look flat as a tac

Looking flat starting the third

Worrying signs for the club. Spanked by the swans, flattered by the scoreboard lucky to beat the blues spanked by the crows.. we are a young side that plays a high tempo style and may be out of legs. The rubbish short breaks also hurt us badly in this regard.
-
So lazy. Getting players back will make no difference if our effort doesn't lift.
-
We need a clone of petracca so we can have one forward and one in the middle. Not sold on Wagner, smith or jkh
-
Oscar isn't working hard enough to make lynch accountable. He's way to good to give that much space to.
-
Hogan may need some Casey games to find some form coz he's miles off at the minute. We know his talent but he looks down in confidence
-
This is going to be very ugly.

I think they've gone in to tall and have misread the conditions. We should have more speed and know how to handle the conditions to use our rotations better. Gawn won't have a game like last week, mark my words he'll bounce back hard this week and be best on ground

Very confident of a win.

The AFL has shown once again that they have zero interest in maintaining the integrity of the game. Less than five years after this guy was the senior coach and was a huge part of an illegal supplements saga, he's presenting an award that stands for the integrity of the game on the big stage. This on the back of the AFL giving them pick one last year which was also a joke. He should Have been banned for life for his involvement in that disaster and we are still yet to see what the long term health implications are for the players.
