  1. He's the best player that's going to be there at pick 3, i'd say he's a lock pick 7 is much less so
  2. Even unproven key forwards who showed promise and went as high picks seem to hold far more currency then mids, i mean look at Tom Boyd.
  3. For me, Charlie Curnow is this, he could be an absolute superstar but i think he could be a flop too Parish for me is just a jet and a really safe option, i'd say Oliver will be a good player as well
  4. Certainly fits the theme of competitor, would be a good choice. i just don't feel we can pass up the opportunity for a Parish and key forward combination Oliver reminds me of Gus Brayshaw but with far less class but makes up for it with just determination and will.
  5. I do see your point, not every key forward is a Jesse Hogan... I always felt Tom Hawkins showed signs in that time, not consistently enough, i personally watch the dogs quite closely and haven't really seen much that tells me Boyd is all that special.
  6. Always very difficult to read the development of a key position player as they're playing on men, Tom Boyd became the number 1 pick because he was huge and dominated skinny kids, now at AFL level he is struggling to make the jump, his bank account isn't but that's a whole different convo
  7. He is going to take his time with this one, he'll need to be 100% sure he wants to be at the MFC to sign this extension, from what I've heard he'll be ( and rightly so ) one of the highest paid in the comp.
  8. Brendan mcartney and simon goodwin would be the perfect two to judge if jake is any good, willing to back them in, i think he will slot into the best 22
  9. Throw in Brayshaw and Petracca, Neil Bullen looks to be alright too.. starting to look like a seriously good core of players probably the best young key back and key forward in the comp too Mgoven probably just pips Mcdonald but i'd say Hogan is the best young key forward,
  10. Class vs Grunt, Tyson finds space in tight, Viney tries to break through the wall Both I think will be premier midfielders in the comp for a long period of time personally think Christian Salem will be better than both when he transitions to the midfield, best skills at the club, speed, grunt, class in tight, damaging outside as well.
  11. I think port simply see a calculated risk/reward situation, they give up a pick for a player who is at least handy depth but had huge upside potentially as well, i think a move home might be great for jimmy
  12. Gah ill say it, the term of the deal is looking like 6 years ontop of the two he has, and it's looking "positive"
  13. I like it, Craig Bird is walk up start to our best 22, and a serious upgrade on Matt Jones and co, knows the Swans game style well and should fit in nicely, and Watts gets out of Melbourne and into a team that can use his Weapons rather than highlight his weaknesses
  14. On the plus side, I think this is the definition of " a head for radio" young Joe will have a nice career in the Media if footy doesn't work out.
  15. In terms of the WADA thing, you'd think Goody would have a fair idea of what the go is there, also if Macca applied for the coaching job he must be reasonably confident it won't end too badly.
  16. I wonder if we could swing a straight swap for Chris Dawes?
  17. Dion prestia and josh kennedy, I'd take that
  18. I wonder if to get rid of the salary cap pressures the power would be willing to entertain young master Wines moving to the Dees in exchange for a couple of good picks, maybe picks 5 and 23 for Wines and a later pick
  19. Essendon wanted wines or wingard and a first rounder for ryder... They will demand hogan, brayshaw or mcdonald
  20. Forgot about vanders bb my mistake
  21. My locks for 2015 ????????? Tom Mcdonald Lynden Dunn Nev Jetta ??????????? Christian Salem ????????? Jack Viney Bernie Vince Christian Petracca Jesse Hogan Angus Brayshaw Jeff Garlett ????????? Dean Kent Max Gawn Nathan Jones ??????? Dom Tyson Harry Lumumba Billy Stretch Alex neil-bullen With the new interchange rules there will be a far greater reliance on endurance players than ever, the amount of explosive players that a team can carry will take a hit so guys like Kent may find themselves competing with someone like Garlett for a spot in the team
  22. Give him a blank cheque and say you write what you want on it mate. will finish his career as one of Melbournes greatest ever players.
  23. I don't see Moore as being a lot more than a good depth player, but huge upgrade on some of the spuds we have at the minute.
  24. David Mackay, Nathan Hrovat, Jack Redden, Adam Tommlinson, Craig Bird I reckon they'd all be gettable, and all add to our side
