My take away from the last few days is that the crows low balled jake big time with the first offer, he cracked it and put himself out there and by the time the crows came back with a more reasonable offer he’d decided to leave. It sounds like the infighting from half time at the grand final hasn’t stopped. If you want to blame someone look at your key forwards and captain who looked totally shell shocked on the big stage. Lever was very solid despite being tagged and had nothing to do with the crows losing the gane

Time to teach the crows a lesson. Pick 10 only is on the table, accept it or we take him in the draft.

I would be horrified if the Melbourne footy club handled a situation like this with as little class and as much bitterness as the crows have. I view it as being extremely unprofessional. You’d have to think Bryce Gibbs would think twice about going there if this is how they treat their players.

I’d go national draft. I think the pies would be reluctant to use pick 6 on him. They would be the risk. Also the saints with their two picks

If lever needs to go to the pre season draft he can put huge $$ on his head and we can keep picks 10/27 as well

It depends on where you value the 2018 pick. I personally would prefer to trade 10/2018 pick and then do the same trade to get back into this years first round with watts

Watts and 27 to the swans for 14 10&14 for lever and 35 Hang on to our 2018 pick and get lever

Lever did well considering the lack of pressure in the midfield and being tagged by Townsend. The tigers realised he was a key player in terms of intercept marking

Lever plays a role that we desperately lack in term of his intercept marking. It's why we're paying overs to get him. He's a huge missing link

Weideman has shown enough to suggest that with time and development he can become a good player. Hes alresdy dominated games at VFL level and as his body develops I'm sure that'll transition to AFL the big guys do seem to take 3-4 years to get going

I wonder if Motlop could be better if he were played more as a deep forward to help out Jeffry? Would add some real speed and class up there

Lever was ultra reliable last night. Was beaten one on one once. In the first minute of the game. His disposal efficiency was elite. The new pay deal changes the actual worth of those big deals in a way as well 800k a year is what 650k a year is worth under the previous agreement and lever is worth every cent

He just knows his limitations. He doesn't try and pull off miracle kicks, picks the first target and does all the basics well. Absolute jet. Can't wait to see him at the Dees although I do wonder if a crows flag will make him re-think things

If the crows would prefer the 2018 draft I'd be happy to give them our 2018 first round pick and this years second rounder and keep pick 10

i think we will need to use a first round pick in the next two years based on the rules. So I wouldn't rule out trying to get pick 17 or whatever they have back from them.

If the crows have mentioned petracca who they couldn't get a trade done for without lever, it's a pretty sure sign that he's on his way to the demons. I keep thinking of it like, if this were Jesse hogan what would we be asking for? I'm not sure lever is quite as valuable as hogan but he's in that same catagory. Pick 10 definitely and the question is how much more. I think a fringe player or a second round pick feels fair to me.

The problem with this theory is that we've stated we would have taken Jack billings so billings and Gardiner vs Tyson/Salem/hunt we win I believe because hunt is in the best 22 under 22, Tyson has had 2 top 5 best and fairest finishes in three counts so far and Salem has shown his promise and talent but struggled with injuries. It's pointless including Kelly because as Paul Roos himself has said we wouldn't have taken him.
