Gun target - Key Forward recruit?

I think a lot of teams will understandably be throwing big money at Jeremy Cameron, the one i'd be making a big offer to is Ben King. it's a little risky but the kid is going to be a star in my opinion, and is very likely to want to come back to Vic. i think put 850k x4 under his nose and offer the Suns pick 3 and Billy Stretch and see if they can be tempted to move him a year early.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?

I don't hate the idea of looking at Levi Casbault should he decide to leave, not a long term option but can take a clunk

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?

It's a little tough to judge our key forwards this year because they had rubbish supply, it was either not enough supply, or plenty but huge numbers and horrible kicks. i reckon Jeremy cameron would have found our forward line tricky this year

List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.

i don't think there is anything to the rumors about Gus but if we hypothetically did trade him, i think we'd end up regretting it as much as the Tyson/Salem deal

		Phantom Drafts

I think Taylor based on the interview on the website will just take best player at pick 3 rather than positional drafting, so will be really interesting to see who they think is the third best player, makes me think we're a decent chance to draft Serong or Young as they seem to be ranked 3-4 by most people

		Kane Cornes' Premiership Clock

I think there are some great people in the media who can provide some great insight and content but Kane isn't one of them, hard to take too much of what he says seriously.

Wow that's rough. i'm sure he's a very talented young man but that comment has soured my feelings towards him hahahahhaa

THE MYSTERY OF DRAFT PICK 3?

geez Stephens is a smooth mover.

		Jamie Elliott

Comes across like he's playing for a better deal from the Pies and it's backfiring because they aren't coming to the party so he's being forced to consider his options

		Sam Murray

I'd say he's an upgrade on what we have in terms of depth, even though he might not be a great bloke.

would you be inclined to split the pick or think we're better off banking on someone like Young at 3?

		Josh Mahoney in the Media

I'm sure we would have enquired about some support for Tom up forward, though it doesn't seem like there is a huge amount on the market this year.

thanks very much for your detailed thoughts. it sounds like we couldn't go wrong with Young at pick 3. if we decide to keep that pick. as you've mentioned a few times Flanders is a really interesting one because he just seems to be rising up calculations all the time, seems a really appealing package as a player. if we were to draft young it'd be handy having him and Salem setting up plays off half back with their kicking.

		Brendan McCartney on SEN

I don't doubt his leadership, i think he's the most tradable of our inside midfield group, and there is a decent argument to be made to trade one of them out for some quality on the outside

		Phantom Drafts

Hey Dazzle, curious on your opinion of which of Young or Ash is more likely to develop into a successful winger or are they more likely to be half back flankers? i believe both have had stints in the middle this year?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL

Tremendous upside, costs nothing, i'm still on board with rolling the dice here. one year, under one of the best fitness guys going around, lets get him fit and firing.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON

That's exactly it, mountains of natural ability, but cant consistently execute basic fundamentals of the game, or stick to the game plan and as a result his special moments are overshadowed by his shocking ones.

		Phantom Drafts

As a few others have said it's hard to see where we could really go wrong with the top end of this draft. some very good prospects and most fill a need for us. I'm still leaning towards Lachie Ash because he offers so much of what we currently lack, a beautiful, long, accurate kick, genuine leg speed and a will to take the game on. but i would not be unhappy with many of the others mentioned. if the Dockers do indeed get picks 6/7 i think it would at least be worth a phone call offering pick 3 and 22 or potentially even our future first to try and prize those two picks. if we could get 2 of Young, Ash, Flanders, Kemp, Weightman, Serong i think we will have greatly improved our list

		Gaff or Andrew Brayshaw Rumour

Don't mind it at all. what about 3 & 22 for 7, Langdon and 26

		Gaff or Andrew Brayshaw Rumour

For the sake of team balance though, do you invest a top end pick in a guy that is very similar to what you've already got? i wouldn't be doing it unless we were considering trading out one of Angus or Viney. I'd rather just take pick 3 to the draft and pick up Lachie Ash.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON

Agreed, and i suspect they'd be at least likely to let us know that in exchange for a good deal with Billy to help our Langdon negotiations. usually i think you're better off being good to deal with at the trade table and teams normally pay you back for that, but with the dockers are last off season i don't mind milking them a little bit more.
