I sense a slight undercurrent for tweaking the forward line in the not too distant future. T Mac and Weid have only a few more chances. Melksham isn't the answer. Could Laurie be the post bye utility type forward to deliver that extra element to what is probably our weakest area
-
How strange only one poster mentioned RDB. I must confess I had forgotten his five (?) year stint. Other than the erratically brilliant Brent Crosswell I am struggling to recall players from that era

Northey gave a club hope for that he deserves No 1 As much as I enjoyed the 2021 premiership the roller coaster ride of 1987 and 1988 will forever be with me. 2. Goodwin 3. Daniher 4. Balme 5. Not sure.... I'm a little ambivalent on the Roo's legacy... personally I'd give it to Yze and Choco because there is little doubt they provided some magic dust for Goodwin's success

Watching the replay Tom Mac's game was a 5-6 whereas Weid's was 3-4. On the body of 2022 form they're lineball. Neither has really shone. Weid was performing against a youngster in the ruck last week

Premiership Coach Simon Goodwin extends until 2024
Diamond_Jim replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Great outcome and a strong address by Pert. I still wonder how a backline strategy that had so many holes (he's out the back) became one of the best in this century but whatever... well done Simon. I have had the pleasure of observing Goody in the crowd at many VFL games. His interaction with those around him underscores his humility. I do hope that he gains further extensions simply because he deserves to be well rewarded financially for delivering what many of us thought we'd never see. Thanks Goody -
Haven't seen any reports on the results of the Council meeting last night. Referred to a committee perhaps 😂
-
As you say, they're not leaving. The site is worth nothing if they walk away. Why would the council be concerned if they left. It's all limited use parkland and would be a lovely addition to the precinct. Always thought the request to knock down the historic stand was a no goer

The forward line is NQR at present. Pity Melksham didn't display more on Saturday but I am beginning to despair of Weideman having a real impact. Two more weeks perhaps. The Casey game next week is against Southport at Casey starting 35 minutes before the AFL match. Not ideal for the emergencies getting some match time not to mention the medi sub

Lions pulling away and that's without Daniher and Hipwood Very impressive
-
Ony saw the last ten minutes but very impressed by Majak's ruck work

Pies into the 8

yep the media is starting to question the decisions. Just like we did with the Darwin game. Alice is the optimum destination if you have to sell a game. Dry and around 22 at game time. Not sure what it would be like playing at night there as we haven't done so as yet

The 7 day covid out runs from the time of the positive RAT. I assume they followed up the RAT with a PCR within 24 hours. Of the missing 5 my guess is that original 3 get out Wednesday, Petty on Thursday and ANB Friday ( Goodwin on Tuesday?) On a more positive note you would hope that if the rest of the players are clear on Monday we shouldn't see another major outbreak (at least not next week)

Saints sold 4 points. Oh well...many of us know what that feels like
-
bank it and move on Very few highlights save that Bedford is ready. Not sure what if anything it did to solve the Weid v T Mac debate Need to play a lot better next week
-
would be nice to see a dominant 4th quarter right on cue.. Hawks kick a goal
-
Six goal quarter... much better forward work Hawks on 59 points... Our aim is to keep the other team around 60 points. Let's see if we can do it
-
there's 1
-
pedestrian performance Hopefully we pick it up in the third quarter
-
was about to post that we need a little something from BBB and !!!!!!
-
and another 3 please to finish off the quarter please ... those pesky behinds

Dockers giving Cats the Old Heave Ho

Giants pulling away from Crows. With Port near the bottom it could be a cold winter in the city of churches
-
Can't recall the Eagles ever being in the bottom 2 or 3 teams. Sure they've been mid table but always competitive. They are one of if not the wealthiest team in the AFL. Watch out for some vigorous wheeling and dealing as they rebuild. Meanwhile if Adelaide beat GWS today they will probably slip into the top 8. Amazing given where they were last year.

joke..... thanks whoever put this on prime time. Haven't seen much of WCE this year. They are bad to say the least
