We have 12 teams in our league how about you guys?

I'm in an ultimate league with some mates this is my team let me know what you think: Backs: D. Stanley, B. Houli, S. Dempster, J. Brennan, L. Russell. Emg: L. Dunn Mids: T Cotchin, C. Ward, K. Jack, D. Armitage, M. Wallis, N. Lower, C. Wingard. Emg: A. Miles Ruck: S. Mumford Emg: T. West Fwds: M. Robinson, C. Sylvia, J. Riewoldt, D. Petrie, J. Schulz. Emg: J. Garlett. Won it last year hoping to go back to back!

After giving it some thought, I actually think FA can benefit clubs like ours if we do it smartly. Sure, we may lose some players but we can also pick up quality older players as a stop gap for a couple of years which could really help our competitiveness until our young stars are ready. If we can go out and get ourselves a couple of good older mids who may be chasing a little extra coin in their twilight we can start to see improvements in our midfield. More wins will equal more members which we badly need.

I always thought last year this had an impact on how we played last year. If we were running harder during the week then other clubs then it would have had an impact on our match day performances. I'm guessing they won't need to do as much mid-week running this year so it will be interesting to see if there is an improvement on the teams ability to run out games.

There is a large amount of good players i.e. Dane Swan, Buddy just to name acouple, who's input has been well down during the NAB cup. Grimes is most likely taking it a bit easier looking to get some match fitness but ease himself into the season. I think the same could be said about Sylvia. I think any judgement should be held until we actually get into the real season.

I think we all need to chill a bit. Still Nab cup and we were missing our two big forwards as well as Viney, Trengove, Kent( best 22 IMO) and a few other guys. We aren't all of a sudden become a top 4 side lets look for little improvements and start there. And maybe wait until the real season before the talk of suicide starts....

I like the idea of caping rotations and wanted that instead of a substitute. I think 120 is a perfect number for rotations but it should be broken down that it is a max of 25 a qtr so you can't take 10 one qtr and then 40 the next. Also I believe that they should scrap the substitute rule and go back to the 4 player interchange. I would love to see the game go back to the way it was with more one on one contests and a greater emphasis on endurance fitness. I think this rule would actually work in our favour as we will have some very good big forwards over the next few years and when the game gets near the end teams wil struggle to defend against us with the long kick to the forward line. The only aspect I think we may struggle at first would be the midfield as we are very young there but we struggle there now anyway so it doesn't make a huge difference.

Very happy with the tackling and ball movement. Still not super polished but there is definetly a lot of that 'P' word in a lot of the younger guys.

One thing I've noticed is how much bigger some of our first year players, i.e Kent, Viney, Hogan and even Toumpas look compared to blokes like Gysberts and Morton who were on our list for years. Looks like we've actually got guys who can stand up to the rigours of AFL footy.

Hi guys and girls, This is not to do with football as such but I am excited to be able to watch my beloved Dees every week! I'm moving to Melbourne with my fiance in January and wanted to see if anyone on here had any tips on good areas to live, or maybe even if there are rental agents on here? She will be working at The Alfred hospital so we were thinking around the South Yarra area. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
