  1. That sounds about right at the moment. Our side has been playing poorly therefore our player ratings would suck. Once the side is playing better the ratings will go up.
  2. I've got a feeling this will be a close one and I think with everything that has gone on this week the Saints could be pretty flat.
  3. I wouldn't be that harsh on him he's an OK player not great but I think Gawn has 100 more times upside and with his VFL form must come in. Also I have Pederson taking Dunns spot, both aren't that great defensively but at least Pederson's disposal is better and he can ruck. He would be the 4th tall which would suit him rather than playing on a dangerous forward as he did against Collingwood.
  4. My side for this week depending on fitness: B: Garland Frawley Terlich HB: Toumpas McDonald Pederson C: Trengove N.Jones M.Jones HF: Howe Dawes Watts F: Byrnes Gawn Davey R: Jamar Sylvia McKenzie Int: Blease Magner Kent Sub: Clisby
  5. I think overall score is the fairest way coz some teams get super unlucky even though they have a higher scoring team they always seem to lose.
  6. I have one league where I've scored 1700 week one of the byes and 1845 week two and lost both so you never know. I hate the bye weekends they should start playing games round 1 instead of having three weeks of no games and then not play the 3 weeks of byes.
  7. Will we be having a relegation type system where the best of the rookie leagues can move up? I am Viney's Vindicators btw.
  8. I feel like this will just make us even more dis-respected from the rest of the comp. We need to suck it up and draft the right way and run our club properly and then we may see some change. We are seen as the club who asks for handouts and is incompetent.
  9. Haha did he ever play a game?
  10. Luke Dunstan just sounds like exactly what we need. Pure mid with fantastic leadership. I don't care if Aish is meant to be more silky I want a tough leader cause this club needs them in spades.
  11. It could be possible they haven't made a decision either way yet because they are unsure how good he is due to the poorly structured football department and admin etc.
  12. I guess that is why Neeld and Co. brought in Rodan, Byrnes, Pederson to try and bring in mature age players to force young kids to earn a game at Casey. It is depressing that we are here but it is brought about by years of mistakes and poor list management.
  13. Bold- Keep Underline- Delist Italic- Unsure OOC at the end of 2013 - Watts, Sylvia (UFA), Davey (RFA), Taggert, Gawn, Tynan, Fitzpatrick, Nicholson, MacDonald, Sellar, Jetta, Davis, Rodan, Gillies, with Magner, Couch Clisby and Stark of the rookies
  14. Could be a number of reasons: 1) They are doing more fitness work then skills work therefore skills are lacking. 2) They are training more intense during the week as Grimes mentioned and then are struggling mentally gameday. 3) The way they are playing calls on all players to play their part and we have too many passengers (I would say between 10-15 every week) 4) We have crap players. 5) Neeld can't coach Could be a mixture of these things who knows.
  15. I agree with this and I hate people saying 'oh they aren't going to be here when we win a premiership', does anyone know when we will even play finals? We are in this situation because we were gifting kids games a few years ago and had no senior players leading them, or have we all forgotten that? We should be picking players on merit and if that means a younger player developments in the VFL for a season or two then so be it. Every other club understands this and some of their young kids don't play a game for a season or two.
  16. I wonder how many extra supporters Hogan playing his first game at the G will pull to the ground. I'm guessing at least 10K.
  17. At the moment I think setting standards is the most important thing. These standards will last for generations if set up correctly so if it means a bit of short term pain so be it. I just hope the young leaders at this club can continue to drive these standards if Neeld is sacked. That isn't saying I want him sacked as I've actually been fairly supportive even though I do sometimes find it hard to. But I do understand where the club is at and the issues it has had.
  18. Hamish Blake. He is a Dees supporter and then at least we would all get a laugh at meetings and if he called a press conference.
  19. I think we sometimes overrate some of our players. For example: Dunn Tapscott Strauss McDonald Blease Watts Jamar I don't think they are as great as some people think. Most of them have a lot of improvement to go but for where we are at the moment they are unable to lift us just yet. Our biggest issue as discussed is that the majority of our side is under 50 games experience and we have no 200+ gamers to lead them. We are pretty much right where I thought we would be at the start of the season and I tipped us to finish 2nd last. I didn't think we would have as many big losses but that could be because of a number of reasons. I like a lot of people on here wanted us to get rid of Moloney, Morton, Bate and Martin. Wasn't sure about Petterd and Gysberts but whatever not a huge loss. But I knew as soon as we did this we would really struggle to cover them for the time being even with the players we brought in. None are world beaters and I knew they wouldn't be. This is why although I am angry at our situation like everyone else I expected something along the line of where we are now because of how many players were turned over. But I wanted that turnover so I have to put up with the crap for now.
  20. What dates the election? If it is before the end of the season then Gillard, if it's after then Neeld.
  21. He went back with the flight a few times and took the mark so I'm not gonna knock him for squibbing a contest. Though he does need work on his body work though it's probably the first time he has played as a defender at AFL level so I'll cut him some slack.
  22. I agree with this but also don't understand how people don't see how much BP and DB stuffed us up?? We have next to no decent 23-25 year olds when really we should have a side full of them. We have no 26+ leaders whatsoever. I don't think anyone could coach this side to more than 4 wins in a season.
  23. BP and DB completely stuffed this club and those stats are disgusting and show the types of players they wanted, highly skilled with not a competitive bone in their bodies. Instead the smart clubs take guys who are hard at it with ok skills, not great but they can hit a target more often than not. This is the reason I won't jugde Neeld until he has had at least two drafts and that doesn't include the first one cause he really couldn't have known what was needed. We picked the wrong players over and over and are paying for it now. The only way out is to get it right this time which I can already see they have so far. Toumpas, Viney, Hogan and Kent all look like they'll be ok, not gonna say great or the word star until they actually make it there but at least they are goers.
  24. That's absolute crap. There's been plenty of other sides who have gone through bad years all be it not as bad. Sticking by people shows a certain strength this club has never had. If Jackson thinks he should go at years end then I'll back him in but if he thinks he is the right man then I'd be happy.
