It couldn't be bigger for us Lose and its likely we fall out of top 4 - with a really tough run of games to go If we are serious about winning a flag - we must retain top 4 If we are serious about winning a flag - we must beat teams like Port that want to replace us in Top 4 Who really wants it more - tonight will indicate a lot about this team. If we are extremely competitive and lose by a small margin then that's a possible pass mark. If we lose easily and never look like it then that is a huge concern Our form has dropped off which is not that unexpected - it is almost impossible to go through the season without some sort of form dip Personally I am concerned that are starts have been a weakness - if we let them get off to a fast start the big pro Port crowd will get them flying - hard to see a way back from there

The expectations on BB are pretty unrealistic if you ask me The guy hasn't really done enough to genuinely deserve a call up (no idea if he's been training the house down) but his Casey form has been so so IMHO Am I against giving him a chance - not really because at the very least he may attract their best defender. However anyone expecting him to have a big influence on the result and kick more than 1 or 2 goals is being very very optimistic / unrealistic

No MFC supporter would be feeling great about our loss to GWS, I know I'm not, but you my friend need to chill a bit Attacking other supporters on this site is just not on - neither is being the master of 20/20 hindsight or pretending to be the fountain of all knowledge I like reading other posters opinions on this site that can calmly and rationally talk about the teams performance and where/if we can improve. I also like to read opinions that seek out positives when sometimes there appears to none. Personally I find that helpful in dealing with a disappointing season or game It's fine to express a view, there will always be differences of opinion and that's healthy - what is not healthy is attacking people and discounting there views because they differ to your own

What is bad is when you finish outside top 4 or have finals outside home state This team has given itself its best chance in very long time - its destiny is completely in its hands - are they actually any good - we are about to find out I'm really disappointed in their current form but plenty of top 8 teams have delivered up stinkers this season. The measure of a good team versus one that's average is how they respond Thursday we get to see what they are made of

Did you watch that game where he kicked 5 ? One was an absolute gift over the top from AVB , another one was a very good kick to advantage where he was able to run onto the ball 15 out His opponent looked seriously unfit to me and would have 20 goals kicked on him by a decent AFL standard key forward. Sorry but he wasn’t that impressive and as much as I’m not a massive Weid fan I thought his performance was actually better albeit in a different role

Size means nothing - if that was the only relevant factor I’d be putting Daw in before BB at least he is physically capable of offering a strong contest in a pack situation Unfortunately he is no star forward and fitness is still probably not up to AFL standard

Please - BB played in the twos and didn’t do anything to suggest he would have made any difference at all we are really clutching at straws thinking he is the saviour of our forward line problems did nothing last year had virtually no pre-season this year and so far has been pretty damn underwhelming in the VFL and AFL could he possibly improve - maybe but atm he’s showing nothing to suggest he can add to what is already a pretty dismal and impotent forward line

I think you need to have a lie down and a nice cup of tea Nobody likes the way the team is playing but for god sake we have beaten lots of good teams this year as well as the only two losses We may lose - we may not - lets hope they is a very big serve dished up and more energy in the second half some positive crowd support would be good

Its a pretty even comp as we all know there are no easy games and when your not on 100% you will be punished Hopefully second half is a very different story Reality bus is never far away

BB didn't dominate - Nathan Jones did - just saying Two of BBs goals were pretty lucky if you ask me One was due to a very clever kick from Rosman where he ran onto a loose ball just in front of goal The other was a gift from AVB which could have easily been AVBs if he wanted to kick his second

Our pressure game inside 50 relies on all players zoning and chasing - if one player doesn't play their role in that the whole system suffers which may be the reason Melksham is at Casey There are currently two people in our forward 50 with speed to chase defenders and apply real pressure (Kossie and ANB) both are really important for that alone I do agree he needs tidy up his approach to attacking the ball and delivery which all seems a bit haphazard atm
