  1. Try Wilson parking Entertainment Centre at Moore Park I think it’s Lang Street that’s what I plan to do
  2. Bart deserves better
  3. I didn’t see any negative comments about the supporters who were there - no idea why we got a serve :) I understand why people where concerned at half time they looked very flat but I remember thinking we can play better. Statistically Brisbane’s best quarter has been the second and their worst the 4th so 20 points down at half time it was definitely not over We did need a rocket ? sounds like one was fired and a response came that is the best thing - it’s not always about winning it’s the manner in how it’s happens - to me that was the most impressive thing
  4. Yep they seemed to appreciate the support it was great to be there Love big Max such a great character- really [censored] me off in the first quarter when they clearly were targeting him again
  5. These young guys are the reason we have improved so much - for a group with so few games they are really performing at a very high level absolutely the best recruiting I’ve seen at the club in many years They have a great opportunity to build a dynasty and enjoy success together I never really thought I’d ever see a Melbourne team in that position - love to see it happen
  6. To be fair the ball just didn’t spend much time in our forward half in the first two quarters - when it did it was either bombed in or not kicked to advantage I watched him closely last night and he is frustrating because it’s clear there is ability - he can jump and get his hands to the ball but just struggles to hang on His kicking usually is reliable but last night he looked as if he was putting himself under pressure as though he knows it’s critical for him to score goals to retain his spot I really feel he would be a much better player if he tried to use his agility to lead into space where possible and others kick in front of him He’s not Hawkins, he’s not going to be a contested mark beast he needs to learn how to maximise his strengths and the rest of the team need to help him get there Ive never been convinced Sam has the real hunger but he does have ability When I compare him to Trent Rivers it’s obvious one is a natural footballer I hope Sam and the coaching group can work it out and get him firing because it’s one area of this team that’s a bit off - I was thinking last night how good this team would be with Hipwood running around in our forward 50
  7. I’m really pleased for TMac I remember him being interviewed a few years back and I thought at that time he would captain and achieve so much He has obviously worked incredibly hard over the off season to address areas of his game that weren’t working He was a critical factor in turning the game around last night - keep up the great work Tom
  8. The more times Charlie gets the ball the better we are - he creates, he is smart, he rarely if ever wastes a possession. The great thing is he is getting it more and the team is better for it At half time I said we looked flat and I was a bit worried after half time we were back to the team that moved the ball with fast hands and connected with forwards - half way through the third Brisbane looked fatigued and despite the closeness of the scores I felt reasonably relaxed that they were completely on top such a weird feeling ! so many players lifted a gear it was great to watch it was the first time I’d seen Trent Rivers play live - kid can play
  9. It was amazing to see so many demon fans there all proud of their team - would say the crowd was at least 80% Dee’s fans
  10. Great last half the small but excited crowd loved every minute - go dees
  11. We look very undersized down back normally Hipwood and Daniher can’t kick straight BUT tonight they can we look flat and nobody dangerous up front need a big turnaround
  12. We will be cheering them on as loud as we can - sorry all those Melbourne based faithful are unable to attend ps: lovely sunny day atm but rain forecast tonight so might be wet weather football - I think that may be a slight benefit to us
  13. Thanks Robbie57 that's all consistent with what I thought was the case. Have rung the club and waiting for confirmation Not sure how it works with seats if I purchase some on ticketmaster - can't imagine there will be a big crowd given no Sydney team involved but also conscious that it is a pretty small ground (capacity wise) Nice choice of favourite player btw - Tulip was very special !
  14. Thanks I thought my membership would get me in but who knows these days ? Will get onto Ticketmaster at 2 pm thx
  15. How did you get tickets ? I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t see anything? I’m a country member of MFC and want to take the kids as well thx
  16. Has a few issues sticking a tackle too He is very easily pushed off position - if anyone interferes with his run and leap he struggles big time I'm no coach so will leave it totally up to them to try and help him but if it was up to me I'd be kicking footballs to him with either May or Lever opposed and see if he can beat them - when/if he starts to win say 20% with marks he's probably ready - until then he has a lot of work to do.
  17. Great effort from a side that finely looks like the penny has dropped some of the fastest and cleanest use by hand I’ve seen loved watching them sing the song after the game they look like a very happy TEAM - I’m desperate to see them have the ultimate success because they have clearly worked very very hard for a considerable period of time to get the chance pity to lose Langdon for next week but it does give someone else a chance to step up - assume Sparrow Well done Dees needed to make a statement and did
  18. No premierships are not won in May. They can however be lost during the season by dropping games that very good teams would win. If we don't finish top 4 and preferably with a home final it will be very very difficult. There are some good teams sitting below us that are more than capable of taking our spot in a matter of weeks Few people actually believe this team can continue to perform at a high level and really challenge for a premiership - there is a reason for that - we will see what this team is really made of soon enough I will not be jumping off anything if they loose to the dogs (unless its a thumping) but if they do, then loose to Brisbane I would lay money on them dropping the Collingwood game - if we head down that track our good start will count for little
  19. I would be - it effectively means that we can't beat them in a final - this is as close to a final you can get during the season proper It's the classic 8 point game, both teams have a chance to grab top spot and a clear break on the next in line We have to stop thinking near enough is good enough - why bother if we can't actually win a premiership. I for one am sick of making up the numbers Time to make a very big statement - are you good enough or not ? we get the answer this Friday night
  20. BB and Weid don’t deserve a game based on their current form Pointless playing guys in the hope they come good - both need a very big kick up the a$$ and start performing
  21. Compelling logic - hope you’re right ?
  22. Had a tap on the shoulder from the AFP have we gregdemon :)
  23. Not going to argue with any of that and I certainly wasn't arguing for the Weid to keep his spot - I am on record as saying I have little faith in either Weid or BB I couldn't care less if BB has kicked 60 goals in three seasons his performance on the weekend was deplorable for a guy that wants to play AFL. He should not be gifted a game after that effort - sends a terrible message to the list I'd prefer to drop them both and go with the formula that seemed to be working quite well before both these guys overcame injuries and became available for selection What's wrong with TMac and LJ as talls and Fritta as third marking option - the dogs are quick and I think we are more of a chance if we have more speed not less (because BB is not quick that's for sure) This week is a real test of character for our team - they have found a way in a few wins this year that for large parts of the game were uninspiring The dogs have demolished sides this season when they get on top - hopefully we are on for 100% of the game
  24. How could anyone seriously think including BB against the dogs is worth considering Virtually zero output in a VFL game when a spot in the AFL team beckoned - really really really disappointing
  25. I personally remain unconvinced in either Weid or BB - neither seems to have any real strength and aggression, both too easily pushed under the ball or out positioned by key defenders Time will tell if either will start performing at the level we want/expect - this week it was a toss of the coin as to who made way for LJ who in my opinion offers more to the team atm
