CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
Worth noting that Weid directly involved in 3 goals plus the one he kicked himself Not suggesting he should return to the AFL just yet but it was probably a better game overall than I originally thought

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
I don't think his height is the reason he's not mobile Eric Hipwood 202 cm Harry McKay 204cm Buddy 199cm Josh Kennedy 196cm Max King 202cm Ben King 202cm All of the above plus Cameron and Lynch I would argue are more mobile than BB. That I'm afraid is one of his limitations. He does have some strengths to off set that but he's never going to be very agile and add to our forward 50 pressure game IMO

Melbourne to sell the Bentleigh Club
Seems we didn't like the gaming side of this - not sure who actually drafted the letter but those 3 paragraphs could easily be converted to one - about as efficient as our forward 50 entries atm ? Credit to them for keeping the communication going though

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Max was one of the main reasons we won that game - his efforts in the last quarter were fantastic He is such a great character - we are very very lucky to have Max

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs GWS
I think that fact is a big consideration - having watched the VFL game I would be looking at Chunk, AVB or maybe Melksham as possible inclusions - BBB may not be suited to a cold wet Melbourne afternoon. I'm not his greatest fan and happy to admit that but playing him may set him up for failure if conditions are not good

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
Really good summary Binman I thought Weid tried really hard and did a few nice things but just lets himself down occasionally - hopefully he will continue to build more confidence Jones was great he really did look a class above that level - ability to work through traffic and hit targets was impressive Brown was ok he did take a few marks and with the goals in the bank has put his hand up - defensively I still have concerns AVB is an absolute beast if only his disposal was reliable - cant fault his aggression and I'm sure there would be a few looking over their shoulder when he is around Rosman does move well, can kick, can mark, is prepared to tackle - I think he will develop nicely with another preseason to build more strength Bowey has excellent balance and disposal - he will play seniors sometime not too sure where but it looks like back six in the short term - that might keep him out if they all stay fit and in form. I liked the fact he was annoyed whenever he didn't execute as well as he can Haven't seen much of Majak - he tried hard but didn't have huge impact and maybe still building fitness Smith is so frustrating as he looks like he could be anything but never seems to play consistently

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
Just curious - is their any video uploaded for this game ? Assume not but thought I'd ask anyway ?

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs GWS
He really has fallen away and should and would be disappointed with his performance v Collingwood and Essendon Mind you he isn't the only one and the forward 6 have been pretty ordinary (ex Jackson and Spargo). Fritta is on very thin ice IMO and would want to perform well against GWS.

What they're saying down at Windy Hill
That would be a risky move - hardly the most versatile footballer on our list
-
NON MFC: Rd 15 2021
Agree - all games are critical but this is exactly the type of game that a genuine contender will win - get it done MFC
-
What they're saying down at Windy Hill
The constant references to the ski season is reflective of their lack of creativity However I particularly liked this one No bombing forward otherwise May and Lever will have a field day intercepting Low/scrubber type kicks when entering forward What mental giant came up with that - one can only hope its one of their coaching staff
-
CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Surely BB has to earn his spot in the team not be an automatic selection On his limited exposed form to date he is far from best 22 imo He has been unlucky that there has been no VFL to show the MC he is ready to perform - however having said that his most recent performance at that level was underwhelming

Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
See above
-
CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Harmes is going nowhere - meaning he is not making way for anyone atm He will be tagging Parish
-
Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
Sam is no different to any other footballer. If he is out of form and lacking confidence then he should be playing at Casey. He should accept that is best for him atm and concentrate on working to improve those areas of his game that seem off - timing of his marking, body position, leading patterns, tackling etc whatever the coaching staff believe he needs to improve I am not in the camp that its too hard and just ship him off for a second round pick. Its important to remember he had a serious set back earlier in the year and that hasn't helped I certainly think that he should avoid reading outside views on social media - nothing good will come from that

My Round 15 Preview and Prediction
I find it astonishing that we are 11-2 sitting clear at the top of the table and people think we will lose to essendung such is life as a war torn humiliation battled demons fan oh i long for the day when I can trust the MFC to comfortably account for those teams making up the numbers

Practice Match
What position do you think he was playing ? midfield? wing? who would you say he is most like in terms of starting 22 ?
-
Practice Match
Thanks at least that’s something positive Hopefully no injuries

CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Absolutely no chance of Petty going out and Weid replacing him in the back 6
-
NON MFC: Rd 14 2021
Cats PA Lions GWS Essendung
-
Umpiring for Collingwood
We all craved a win - had no bearing on the result - MFC didnt turn up that was the problem
-
Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
Both pathetic if you ask me Neither deserve a game on those stats
-
Brayden Maynard
Rather target someone who is tough and can kick goals Our back six is not our weakness IMO I do rate Maynard though
-
If Ben Brown doesnt play the rest of the year
I think you have probably nailed it there - he certainly didn't look fit enough for mine When he was at his peak he was always fairly weak defensively but could move a lot quicker on the lead and to get into position to receive

My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood
Oliver: take first option Petracca: see comment above May: was not worst Pickett: below average game Mcdonald: delivery didnt help Gawn: not Max's best Brayshaw: understand your limitations Petty: Hopefully learns lessons Rivers: Hard at it Jackson: looked likely sometimes Fritsch: zero physical impact Langdon: not much influence Harmes: hardly noticed him Salem: just a game Lever: our best defender Spargo: not worst forward Hibberd: did he play Jordon: no frills trier Neal-bullen: he went missing Sparrow: reaction time slow Weideman: OMG
