Agree with that - I'm a bit surprised there's been no mention of Daw getting a chance. At least he wouldn't get brushed aside like a feather. Our forward line was bereft of any real physical strength yesterday with perhaps TMac as the exception but he failed to have much of an impact Fritta lucky that Weid was so poor otherwise he'd be in the firing line too - he really struggled I like Sparrow and think he might make it but he needs to realise that he is not the Incredible Hulk and cant brush off tackles Out Weid, Sparrow In Viney, (Daw or M Brown)

Doesn’t say much for BB if you ask me - I’m not convinced he’d do any better - IMO it’s 50/50 if he’ll ever play well again Our forward line remains a real weakness I have never been a fan of Weid but have been happy to give him some time but I just can’t see anything that suggests he is capable of being a decent senior AFL forward
-
Weid was really poor I’ve seen him two weeks in a row and OMG he is so easy to defend now that I think about it if the 8 quarters I’ve seen I think we have played like spuds for 5 maybe 6 of them - I will stay away for a everyone’s benefit
-
I will be there again bda - hope we can rustle up a good number of very vocal Dees supporters
-
My mail from someone who is close to a CFC board member is that Ross Lyon will be coaching them Hope this is right it would be a shame to lose Yze particularly as things seem to be falling in place finally for Dee’s He can get the senior job at Melbourne in a time
-
Welcome Daniel good luck and hopefully you can forge a successful AFL career with the Dees

Agree - I think we are a better team with Harmes on the field The only change I see is Langdon in - who goes out not sure Really hope Lever and Salem are fine - they can have a rest after Monday Be great to see Weid have a good one - at least a few strong one grab marks and 2 or 3 goals, anything less and he is on thin ice. BB needs to really earn a recall IMO not just be gifted a game because Weid is not firing on all cylinders

I know - 10 mins to go, game up for grabs, 7 points down If I was Fagan I'd be fuming - so glad he doesn't wear a Melbourne jumper - really deflating for his team mates to see that
-
Ok so I admit I have watched this a few times because its a great rebound goal and shows how well we can move the ball BUT The more I watched the more I started laughing at Joe Daniher and his defensive efforts - just focus on big Joey - really good effort !

From the NSW Health Website FYI Stay at home rules If you are in NSW and you have been in Victoria on or after 4pm Thursday 27 May 2021 you will need to follow stay-at-home rules. This includes travellers from anywhere in Victoria (both Greater Melbourne and regional Victoria). If you have arrived after 4pm on Thursday 27 May 2021, you must stay at your residence until 14 days have passed since you were last in Victoria, or until advised otherwise by NSW Health, unless you have a reasonable excuse to leave, such as obtaining food and services travelling for the purposes of work or education if you cannot work or study at home medical care or exercising outdoors. -

How is travelling more than 25km in a plane any different to travelling more than 25km in a car ? Love your creative thinking but I think you'd better get back to the drawing board -
University research on fans' views of racism in the AFL

Yes I thought the same thing I understand why Goodes has problems with the way he was treated but I don't really understand his reasons for rejecting what appears to me to be clear recognition of his contribution and significance to the game Feels like we can never forget or forgive and move on and therefore racial tensions can never be resolved - rejecting the invitation may make a statement that your [censored] off but it doesn't seem to help with reconciliation and healing which has to start somewhere/sometime -

May the gulf in their respective output and performance grow every week - Trac has a chance to put that debate to bed well and truly this Monday - Love to see him rip them to pieces -

I went for the A category (most expensive - was $30 for me and $70 extra ticket) which landed us in the top level of the O'Reilly stand - when I tried the other categories seemed to get me on the fence or a couple of rows back - not my preference -

Same for me just ordered & paid for mine - received text message and nothing on link - assume they will sort that out at some stage Impressive system - NOT Anyway go Dees - put the filth to the sword and show no mercy -
I get what you are saying it’s my view largely based on his form over the last 2 seasons and - he always seemed to get a lot of free kicks (and yes was good enough to convert) - doesn’t seem strong when comes to contested marking - doesn’t really add anything in terms of f50 pressure
-
I think that's overstating the commentary on Sam tbh The vast majority acknowledge he has ability but its not clicking for him at present - there are various views put forward as to why he's not firing but its mostly constructive. I'd also suggest that the majority of posters want to persevere with Weid rather replace him (for now at least). I think on balance most people want to see some continuity for him so he can hopefully hit his straps and become a reliable player that impacts every week
-
TMac is a good example of what can happen when players realise what they need to change to improve their impact in the team Weid has ability and I'm not criticising him as I genuinely feel is trying his best but just like TMac, Harmes, Hunt, Brayshaw, Tommo before he got injured - Weid needs to discover what works and what doesn't work to reach his potential
-
Ok lets agree to disagree on the fact he is impacting games enough atm However, if you or Sam think that he is going to make at AFL level relying on taking pack marks then I'm afraid you are both going to be very disappointed. Can he jump - you betcha, can he get hands to the ball - yep, Is he easily pushed aside/under the flight of the ball - yep. He will I'm sure take the odd pack mark but for him to really succeed he needs to learn to work as hard as TMac or a Nick Riewoldt creating space then running into it For Sam what works at VFL level is not going to work consistently in the AFL the sooner he realises that the better imo
-
Love your optimism and not saying he is a lost cause but that is just so far off the mark - literally I would probably persevere with Sam too as I really don't rate BB much and frankly his last exposed form in the VFL sounded very poor. Based on that Mitch Brown or Majak Daw would be more deserving of a call up or simply revert to the structure we had before Weid or BB were available for selection. Weid has ability - he will probably get another chance this week but those chances will eventually disappear unless he can find a way to impact the game consistently. I really think he is more of a lead up forward than pack marking forward and therefore we need to create space for him to run onto the ball - hopefully with Spargo delivering. His kicking looks shaky too atm which has been a strength before. In my opinion if he continues to try and take pack marks as his main focus he isn't going to make it he's simply not strong enough
