Gawn on RSN (27/7/21)
Hilarious - after watching some of the Olympics soccer I'd guess this fragile petal has fallen on a nasty Bindi in the grass Biggest bunch of fakers and whimps ever - the slightest glance they all fall down like they are decapitated - then 5 seconds later they are up and about sprinting down the ground Completely unwatchable

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Have we ? last time I checked we were 3rd, 2 points clear of 4th and 6 pts clear of 5th Our destiny is still very much in our own hands - if that want it bad enough top 4 is still very achievable I'm not convinced we are the real deal - YET - hopefully our coaches and players can prove me wrong

Dermott Brereton on Bayley Fritsch
Fritta is about the least likely on our list to cause physical pain to an opposition player - other than by accident Dermie is a fool of the highest order the sooner he is sent to pasture the better

Who the hell is our goal kicking coach!?
Not sure Melksham is that great on the set shot I’ve seen him stink it up big time On the run or snapping he seems to be pretty good but not the set shot

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
Jake Bowey is very very good by foot and arguably our most precise field kick from the little I’ve seen I’m not saying he should be playing seniors yet but him delivering into forward 50 would help a great deal - of course someone still needs to kick straight - that seems a giant problem still I’m still staggered how professional footballers are capable of missing goals by big margins from as little as 35 metres - if asked to kick to someone that distance away at training under no pressure there is no way they would miss by 5 + metres - it is all in the head

Really good teams win games irrespective of umpiring

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
Oliver gets the ball a lot but OMG can he please think about what he does when he kicks it - blind bombing into the F 50 is just really dumb football

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
I’m disappointed but pleased Sportsbet paid out my line bet on Hawthorn +42.5 points The MFC are the best bet going when they go into a game as hot favourites I still struggle to see how we are top of ladder - this team just takes a holiday when they really should bury teams Hard to feel confident they can perform when it really matters - finals

Geelong request change of venue
So these flogs have apparently requested a change of venue for their next round clash against Richmond moving it from MCG as scheduled to Geelong what a complete joke I really hope the AFL put them back in their tiny filthy box

'He was my rock': Fraser Rosman, Oskar Baker and the Pink Lady match
Wow I hope that Fraser's Mum is 100% clear and can enjoy watching her son develop a very successful and long career with the MFC Fraser obviously has a great deal of character - fingers crossed for a bright future for both he and his Mum

OPPOSITION WATCH: What They're Saying at Waverley Park
Well now - if there was ever a compelling argument to sanity screen patrons entering a football match and turn those away that have nothing to contribute you have the reason right there

OPPOSITION WATCH: What They're Saying at Waverley Park
Do we really need to be reminded how the MFC can perform in games like this ? I really hope we see 100% commitment and real intent from the first bounce to final siren Not only is it critical to win the game but % may be vital come finals

Toby Bedford
I rate Bolton as one of the most gifted footballers would absolutely love him in red & blue - Bedford obviously light years away from that atm Can't say I've seen all of Bedford's games but tend to agree his disposal can be hit and miss Certainly something there to work on but needs to start showing consistency within games and from week to week

TICKETING: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn

Coach with Aging Team Wants Shorter Quarters
I may be wrong on this but thought in the old VFA comp it was 16 per side with no wings ?

Toby Bedford
Declase played quite well - he looked good with ball in hand my query on him would be how hard he works when he hasn't got it. Physically could play AFL and has the skills Rosman was disappointing but I think he copped a heavy knock early and didn't really recover. Having said that no way he is ready for senior games - he needs another pre-season at least and to build his strength - has potential no doubt. He needs to model his game on Isaac Smith if you ask me

Toby Bedford
In short spurts Bedford really looked great the problem with Toby is that the % of the game that he seems to be involved is quite limited. If he could somehow manage to be a consistent contributor across 4 quarters then we have something to work with. He is not in the same mold of most of our current mids IMO - he is very much an outside player and cannot be compared to Viney, Oliver, Trac, Harmes, AVB etc who are the contested ball specialists. My guess is that Toby has been told he needs to work on certain areas of his game and tick some boxes before he is invited back into the senior team Of the others mentioned Chandler - A fair way down the pecking order in that small / speed forward category Bowey - Great skills , football brain, very good at picking the best option and delivering with precision. Has a future but no idea what his final position will be. He sort of reminds me of a faster version of Spargo as both rarely waste possessions Lockhart - Solid and is very brave, injury interrupted season probably hasn't helped his case - worth persisting with IMO as a replacement small defender
