  1. Just curious - is their any video uploaded for this game ? Assume not but thought I'd ask anyway ?
  2. Sydee replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
He really has fallen away and should and would be disappointed with his performance v Collingwood and Essendon Mind you he isn't the only one and the forward 6 have been pretty ordinary (ex Jackson and Spargo). Fritta is on very thin ice IMO and would want to perform well against GWS.
  3. That would be a risky move - hardly the most versatile footballer on our list

Agree - all games are critical but this is exactly the type of game that a genuine contender will win - get it done MFC
  5. The constant references to the ski season is reflective of their lack of creativity However I particularly liked this one No bombing forward otherwise May and Lever will have a field day intercepting Low/scrubber type kicks when entering forward What mental giant came up with that - one can only hope its one of their coaching staff
  6. Surely BB has to earn his spot in the team not be an automatic selection On his limited exposed form to date he is far from best 22 imo He has been unlucky that there has been no VFL to show the MC he is ready to perform - however having said that his most recent performance at that level was underwhelming
  7. See above
  8. Harmes is going nowhere - meaning he is not making way for anyone atm He will be tagging Parish
  9. Sam is no different to any other footballer. If he is out of form and lacking confidence then he should be playing at Casey. He should accept that is best for him atm and concentrate on working to improve those areas of his game that seem off - timing of his marking, body position, leading patterns, tackling etc whatever the coaching staff believe he needs to improve I am not in the camp that its too hard and just ship him off for a second round pick. Its important to remember he had a serious set back earlier in the year and that hasn't helped I certainly think that he should avoid reading outside views on social media - nothing good will come from that
  10. I find it astonishing that we are 11-2 sitting clear at the top of the table and people think we will lose to essendung such is life as a war torn humiliation battled demons fan oh i long for the day when I can trust the MFC to comfortably account for those teams making up the numbers

What position do you think he was playing ? midfield? wing? who would you say he is most like in terms of starting 22 ?

Thanks at least that’s something positive Hopefully no injuries
  13. Absolutely no chance of Petty going out and Weid replacing him in the back 6

    Cats PA Lions GWS Essendung

We all craved a win - had no bearing on the result - MFC didnt turn up that was the problem
  16. Both pathetic if you ask me Neither deserve a game on those stats

Rather target someone who is tough and can kick goals Our back six is not our weakness IMO I do rate Maynard though
  18. I think you have probably nailed it there - he certainly didn't look fit enough for mine When he was at his peak he was always fairly weak defensively but could move a lot quicker on the lead and to get into position to receive
  19. Oliver: take first option Petracca: see comment above May: was not worst Pickett: below average game Mcdonald: delivery didnt help Gawn: not Max's best Brayshaw: understand your limitations Petty: Hopefully learns lessons Rivers: Hard at it Jackson: looked likely sometimes Fritsch: zero physical impact Langdon: not much influence Harmes: hardly noticed him Salem: just a game Lever: our best defender Spargo: not worst forward Hibberd: did he play Jordon: no frills trier Neal-bullen: he went missing Sparrow: reaction time slow Weideman: OMG
  20. No way he's playing back anywhere but Casey He's so soft he would get smashed by any half decent forward
  21. Weid is out that's a given but BB is tall - that is all he is not physically strong or capable of consistently taking pack marks His go is to get on the lead and players up the field kicking in front of him - not convinced we have the structure or the players up the ground that are great at delivering inside 50
  22. Agree with that - I'm a bit surprised there's been no mention of Daw getting a chance. At least he wouldn't get brushed aside like a feather. Our forward line was bereft of any real physical strength yesterday with perhaps TMac as the exception but he failed to have much of an impact Fritta lucky that Weid was so poor otherwise he'd be in the firing line too - he really struggled I like Sparrow and think he might make it but he needs to realise that he is not the Incredible Hulk and cant brush off tackles Out Weid, Sparrow In Viney, (Daw or M Brown)
  23. Doesn’t say much for BB if you ask me - I’m not convinced he’d do any better - IMO it’s 50/50 if he’ll ever play well again Our forward line remains a real weakness I have never been a fan of Weid but have been happy to give him some time but I just can’t see anything that suggests he is capable of being a decent senior AFL forward
  24. Weid was really poor I’ve seen him two weeks in a row and OMG he is so easy to defend now that I think about it if the 8 quarters I’ve seen I think we have played like spuds for 5 maybe 6 of them - I will stay away for a everyone’s benefit
