  1. Have laboured my way through tnis thread and wonder if I watch the same player. Hogan demands attention. Other sides recognise that. Top sides are better at double teaming or structuring to counter him. i cannot understand how when he is double teamed we still kick it to him. Someone else must be free . Where is our structure and game plan and specifically plan B when A is not working
  2. Like some of this. Build over the already ugly Swan Street . Open up views over Punt rd and Goshs. Covered walk way beside rail line to the existing footbridge direct entry to the G . You can even wander through the trees if you wish. Land and air space in Richmond probably cheaper than East Melb.
  3. Re my previous. oooppps. All you say is good. Although a walk from Richmond station to OUR club rooms ain't that hard Still looking forward to the ongoing discussion. May have jumped in a little early
  4. I would have thought good engineering and design could enhance the view and amenity of the station while covering the tracks. Interesting to see how this goes. I'm a supporter
  5. dpositive replied to a post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Hey wrecker that's definitely a worry. Can you provide more detail of what aspects constituted his toxicity? Maybe we can avoid that attribute and benefit from his other recognised strengths.
  6. Surely gender defines no gender If bananas are both male and female surely they are gender enriched?
  7. Perhaps we should position ourselves as the red and blue meat team. Hmmm perhaps some very astute placement on Master chef.
  8. The cost of bananas per kilo is now still trending up at $1.50 having soared in Feb To $1.62
  9. Perhaps we should be aiming higher. The cost of living index indicates that for the average daily intake requirement bananas are $0 .76 topped by oranges $1.76 apples $1.22 tomatoes $1.02 . of course beef $2.31and chicken $1.53 are leading The humble potato is $0.60
  10. Not sure where this is leading. I am definitely not a supporter of Mirabella and her behaviour was abominable. However the law appeared sound when McGowan said in court she was not pushed as reported. i don't think she had a reputation to lose and would not have supported such a payout. As they say, "the only winners are the lawyers" and this would appear to be the case again.
  11. Not sure that jurisdiction considers matters "less than beneficial to society" Not sure that's an adequate description of "Murphey"
  12. I have a long standing relationship with lawyers from previous matters considers by the authorities to be less than beneficial to society. Having studied and worked in Industrial relations I have tried to redress that balance. Of course all activities have been parallel to my support for the demons so there may be some strange relationship that recognises Newtons immutable 4 th law
  13. Thanks Bitter. i shall do my best to contribute but fear my sporadic attendance usually results in post hoc thought usually trumped by the more astute observer. However given the new levels of trumping achieved by POTUS perhaps there is hope for me.
  14. Oh no while your summary includes most of the contributors I recognise, I am sure there are more in the audience with a reticence to step into the primal swamp that this thread inhabits. I myself have attempted to engage but my feeble efforts have received little attention. When placed against the wit or witless comments of the more erudite and reticulate, not to mention the obtuse or extreme rantings it is understandable. However it is the thread that detracts from the depressing and mundane that I found attracted me more than any other on this site. Please, please continue the eclectic and outrageous conversations. if required I will research and report banana price movements but would be much happier with wine and beer analysing, although I fear such a restricted topic would lead us all into a state of ruination
  15. So what are the stats on frees for and against and is there any indication of where paid, ie forward, mid,or back. Also any comparison with other team totals.
  16. Having been a lifetime supporter I am used to disappointment, so I will again watch with great interest. This is a time when Hinckley will be exposed for his abilities in getting maximum performance from his players. If he does it Port may be the surprise packet. Watts performance will also expose Goody to an additional query over his judgement. Melbourne has momentum and despite the last two games failure was certainly on the improve. The list movements must continue the improvement or he will be seen as a fail. I support MFC and hope he doesn't. I want to support a successful team
  17. Fine as long as he is correctly introduced as previous winner, Brownlow medalist, premiership player , coach of the team that kept no records of a drug regime. its a good thing others are keeping records.
  18. Unfortunately we can never know if he was or if the drugs made him do it
  19. Wow this is disturbing. Also 31 of the 33 have reached settlement. Hope they had scope for future support should some future disclosures throw up further disturbing events.
  20. Sorry to interrupt but would appear to be a tautology. Lofty heights would seem to be more of a redundancy Apologies
  21. Not sure about Sudan and Rawanda but the plaudits are certainly well deserved. as to wether initiator or contributors should be the rightful recipient of the prize we may have to seek judgment from ........?...... say Bob Dylan A man who would certainly appreciate the lyrical content producing supreme emotional responses
  22. Sounds a bit like doggies last year. They kept plugging away got stronger and found a way to win. We had so many good players but they were exhausted in the last, fumbles, lack of run poor decisions. some of the poorer performers need to have a good hard look and lift or go back to Casey. Hogan perhaps performs better around the ground where he certainly creates a contest. While he is great one on one he can't match double and triple teams Pedo Bugg Trengove all have experience at AFL level and could step in and up. i reckon Jack Watts is showing his class, others should lift just through his presence. We just have to look really hard at the Dons and beat them next week.
  23. Similar feelings BBO but not so prevalent with obvious omens. Isolated myself from the festivities of Beechworth where friends had gathered. Didn't locate to the local match to maintain focus on the match which was at least being broadcast on the ABC. Disruption as others returned meant I missed the sequence of events from a 21 point lead to a 6 point deficit! I blame myself. So much optimism. so little reward? Champion teams find a way to win. (Look at the doggies this week) We just need to find that feature but at least we are getting closer. is there any point in flogging the obvious?
  24. Just caught the Front Bar and Sams six included a scanlens card picture of Ray Biffen "a mix of shock and serial killer" yeah sounds about right Biff?. obviously caught your avatar
  25. Wouldn't think it would be an invite but can agree that it would be a deserved flogging
