The No T$ No B$ Thread
Hey Jazza How long has it been. My thought is that you need to keep off em but I was always a light smoker and gave up pretty easily after a horrendous night with hangover and small plane trip with much vomiting . couldnt look at alcohol or ciggies for a bout a week and the first ciggie made me recall the horror. After many months went to footy with a mate (lives down your way at Yambuck) who smokes Old Holborn rollies and the aromatic smell is enough to attract me. But can still only have one and the taste is enough to put me off for another season. The ciggies do affect your tastes and good food and wine need to be appreciated without the tobacco dominating. In short I hope you can remain off the ciggs and keep yourself distracted with thoughts of a glorious season for the dees.

Not just the terms Jazza but the actual definition of buggery which most people dont know. Anyway sounds like you are recovering and will soon be back to normal duties. As others have said hope you stay off the durries its better for you in the end (pun intended) With the signing of the free trade agreement with China Tony, Joe and Barnaby et al are saying you [censored] pullers are in for glory days. How they figure we will make money off the nation that controls its markets is beyond me. Enjoy the TV it probably came from China and only cost us 50 litres of milk.

Whoops just read the entrails of the thread and realised I have experienced some space time continuum problem. Sorry to interrupt with a now long gone diatribe. You were right about the swallow or spit reference which needs to be applied as code for more activities. Does one swallow and consume the full offering of the thread or just spit it out choosing to move on in the hope of finding something better. You were also correct that there is some pretentious element to the practice of tasting. You have to indulge in it when you are legless. I did indicate that while I tasted a few of the offerings it became cloudy and difficult to recall when I gave up tasting and started drinking.

Pennyweight make consistent product plenty of fruit and full mouth.Probably all beechworth wines are a bit thin and drink now rather than the big cellar for later reds of Rutherglen or the later released McLaren Vales which we enjoyed when we went to the Port Adelaide match. Re Rutherglen would be interested in your report on Vintara/King Jack. Newly acquired by the Chinese I did not enjoy the wine tasted but the very cheap bottle I took away tasted well. May have been a tasting room problem. Theres many fine wines from Rutherglen so wont recommend any let your palete be the judge. I was impressed with the All Saints release and I dont normally say that.

just recovered from the Beechworth region spring tasting 26 wineries around Beechworth cooperating for a combined tasting Outstanding presentation including standouts A Rodda CHardonnay, Fighting Gully Chardonnay, Sorrenberg Gamay, Cow paddock Sangiovese blend, Amulet Cabernet blend, Giacconda of course and got a bit hazy as we moved through the Shiraz field So much wine so little time. What a great region we are in A great afternoon for $25. Most of these wines retail at premium prices as while they all excited the palete and were all distinctivly different I dont think there was a poor wine amongst them

I didn't and don't have too much concern with drafting. It's a bit of a lottery obviously and outcomes are dependent upon development and opportunity. I am pleased with whoever puts on a Melbourne jumper as they are ours. But it would be an excellent opportunity to allow our dland selectors nominate and keep this as a historical thread for future reference That is no comment no alternative opinion just everyone who wants to participate to select their choices once this retained and used as reference if necessary in future discussion Can such a closed thread be created by the magicians who provide this site?

Oh and I don't think I mentioned the intellect of roos denying that our defeats were anything other than a confusing aberration beyond comprehension From the man who instructed a Sydney player to miss one for the greater good Expect an improved display next week and do we really need a win or a loss.??? It's a brave new world with your delightful activities to distract us THANKS- The No T$ No B$ Thread

Thank god for this thread I was about to prepare a treatise on the vagaries of afl umpiring decisions and their correlation with the fear /power structures entrenched in a society where compassion cannot interfere with established order Or something like that Maybe better off paying attention to offspring as the final solution to all of society's ills Or not- The No T$ No B$ Thread
It snowed in Beechworth with remnants on vehicles and roads. Heavy falls on road to Stanley made driving difficult No reports of training in the snow but the Milawa boys who wear the demons colours and are on top of the ladder after last years flag were seen training in the pub. Its important to build up all the skills of the game required to be successful in the country. Time to cope with a trip to Adelaide Hope its warmer there.- The No T$ No B$ Thread

Don't know where to put this so will see if it has any impact among the more astute correspondents on the site Just watching the tour and see an ad for colonial first state featuring red and blue traffic lights QBE we're long term supporters of Sydney enjoyed the journey and success through promotional campaign. Could colonial be an opportunity for the club to secure a long term sponsor with a profile that would be mutually beneficial? Could someone mention this to our club decision makers?- The No T$ No B$ Thread

Dont mind the look of the team Backs settled and established can be more effective when the ball isnt constantly be driven in so Mids getting similar possession to last week is important Pedo just running around like Miller creating space and havoc would be a good start, (doesnt have to win the game off his boot because we have better support)with Fitz and Howe able to take the mark or Toump and Bail etc pickin up the crumbs. Even Watts may be able to play a little higher and impact the score board through that space. Picked em in tipping but really hope we are competitive for the whole game.- The No T$ No B$ Thread

Yeah I don't want to demean him as he is well aware of snakes but hadn't seen them there. But I guess the point of it is you cant afford to get too blase. He'd been out at that pump so many times and just didn't think about precautions at that time of night and in the irritation of not having any water. It's just like the worksafe ads you need to be alert at all times especially in the country. They say up here its good to have a black as they are generally more timid than Tigers who tend to be a bit aggressive and a black being a bit more territorial will keep the tigers and browns away Is beginning to sound like footy thread with all this talk of tigers, browns and blacks. Do we have any snakes in the dees list???- The No T$ No B$ Thread
Make sure your friend doesnt go inside and get into your shoes and shorts first. A neighbour of mine picked up his overalls that had been lying unused since the last fire and found a similar relative ready to help. Did so by raising his adrenalin to operating level. Another neighbour (we are talking 10K farm property)was bitten by a black at 4.00 in the morning when he went out in thongs to fix a recalcitrant water pump. nearly killed him He was an experienced farmer and had never seen snakes out at night. We all make sure we tread carefully now.- The No T$ No B$ Thread
Thanks Redleg not a big punter myself but mentioned Smart Al to my old man who follows the horses or as he says the horses he follows follow horses. He just called to say Smart Al pretty smart carried his $1 to a win (Of course now wishes we had all put more on it. I had to tell him I had forgotten all about it)and he's hoping that this success can rub off on the Dees . Hes having a good run as got an outsider yesterday that payed $70 which was the reason he expanded his betting range. He did say Al had a good jockey and looked OK. Will take us a bit more seriously now though unlikely to change from supporting the Saints. - The No T$ No B$ Thread
