Bringing back the torp!
Me too ds Hassa was my favourite, but the reason I began supporting was the Tassie drop kick at St Kilda junction oval which sailed into centre half forward where a stab kick gave it to Big Bob. Aaahh those were the days.

Melbourne at the tribunal/MRP 2018
Agree! Clarries hands are such a weapon that they must be restrained. Lucky that MC was able to recognise the potential harm such brutality can inflict. Number 5 For North was obviously instantly delirious and the umpires were so affected by shock to become oblivious to the impact. This type of action must not be allowed to increase and result in Melbourne players actually believing they can replicate other more deserving teams.

The Ox and Marko sacked by SEN
Whately will be missed by listeners on the ABC. But they are unlikely to change with him. Both are not used to private section endorsement interruptions and it will be interesting how this works. i feel that we will see Gerard sink to mediocracy while some previously unknown will seamlessly replace him on ABC.

Jack Trengove signed by Port Adelaide as a Delisted Free Agent
Having been a lifetime supporter I am used to disappointment, so I will again watch with great interest. This is a time when Hinckley will be exposed for his abilities in getting maximum performance from his players. If he does it Port may be the surprise packet. Watts performance will also expose Goody to an additional query over his judgement. Melbourne has momentum and despite the last two games failure was certainly on the improve. The list movements must continue the improvement or he will be seen as a fail. I support MFC and hope he doesn't. I want to support a successful team

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
Fine as long as he is correctly introduced as previous winner, Brownlow medalist, premiership player , coach of the team that kept no records of a drug regime. its a good thing others are keeping records.

Unfortunately we can never know if he was or if the drugs made him do it

The Importance of Jordan Lewis
I noticed he went to ground a lot with a number of other players in his back also. He does go to ground as a lunge or desperate act often as well. His experience means that he understands when to stay out and receive the loose ball and when to throw himself into the action. A lot of his real value is like Watts bing in the right place when needed. His teammates are starting to learn that from him. I'm starting to really like him.

The Importance of Jordan Lewis
I reckon many comments are a bit harsh. Lewis has added an on field presence that distracts opposition teams from their own game. This gives us an edge. His on field positioning and direction are always valuable and never better evidenced than the last few minutes this week. No one else in the squad brings what he does to the game. I'm happy that the coach recognises contribution value over the statistical count.

The Importance of Jordan Lewis
Don't know why Cornes chooses one isolated act. I guess that's what he's paid to do. Im happy with Lewis. But more importantly I reckon Goodwin may have more knowledge than both of us.

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
Wow this is disturbing. Also 31 of the 33 have reached settlement. Hope they had scope for future support should some future disclosures throw up further disturbing events.

Our record at the MCG
Certainly an apt observation from the last two games. Crows forwards were further up the ground and we seemed to hallways have someone behind them to stop the rebound or take the kick forward . North seemed to always carry the ball a bit deeper or had a tall target that we had difficulty matching. In the second quarter we double teamed Brown and North just roamed around for a mis match. Very interesting contrast. We could have won but for a few more lapses that we did not exploit. Got a bit cute when we should have taken first option and we had a bit of difficulty with the inconsistency of umpiring decisions favouring North.

Jeff Garlett, give him some love.
Have been saying on this site for many years that we need to put pressure on opposition. We were often off balance and delivering poorly while opponents were delivering better due to no pressure

Not sure about Sudan and Rawanda but the plaudits are certainly well deserved. as to wether initiator or contributors should be the rightful recipient of the prize we may have to seek judgment from ........?...... say Bob Dylan A man who would certainly appreciate the lyrical content producing supreme emotional responses

Sounds a bit like doggies last year. They kept plugging away got stronger and found a way to win. We had so many good players but they were exhausted in the last, fumbles, lack of run poor decisions. some of the poorer performers need to have a good hard look and lift or go back to Casey. Hogan perhaps performs better around the ground where he certainly creates a contest. While he is great one on one he can't match double and triple teams Pedo Bugg Trengove all have experience at AFL level and could step in and up. i reckon Jack Watts is showing his class, others should lift just through his presence. We just have to look really hard at the Dons and beat them next week.

Similar feelings BBO but not so prevalent with obvious omens. Isolated myself from the festivities of Beechworth where friends had gathered. Didn't locate to the local match to maintain focus on the match which was at least being broadcast on the ABC. Disruption as others returned meant I missed the sequence of events from a 21 point lead to a 6 point deficit! I blame myself. So much optimism. so little reward? Champion teams find a way to win. (Look at the doggies this week) We just need to find that feature but at least we are getting closer. is there any point in flogging the obvious?

Workers compensation claims are almost unlimited. was advised many years ago can be lodged 99 years after death. Asbestos claims are a good example of consequences of poor work practices
