  1. I noticed he went to ground a lot with a number of other players in his back also. He does go to ground as a lunge or desperate act often as well. His experience means that he understands when to stay out and receive the loose ball and when to throw himself into the action. A lot of his real value is like Watts bing in the right place when needed. His teammates are starting to learn that from him. I'm starting to really like him.
  2. I reckon many comments are a bit harsh. Lewis has added an on field presence that distracts opposition teams from their own game. This gives us an edge. His on field positioning and direction are always valuable and never better evidenced than the last few minutes this week. No one else in the squad brings what he does to the game. I'm happy that the coach recognises contribution value over the statistical count.
  3. Don't know why Cornes chooses one isolated act. I guess that's what he's paid to do. Im happy with Lewis. But more importantly I reckon Goodwin may have more knowledge than both of us.
  4. Wow this is disturbing. Also 31 of the 33 have reached settlement. Hope they had scope for future support should some future disclosures throw up further disturbing events.

Sorry to interrupt but would appear to be a tautology. Lofty heights would seem to be more of a redundancy Apologies
  6. Certainly an apt observation from the last two games. Crows forwards were further up the ground and we seemed to hallways have someone behind them to stop the rebound or take the kick forward . North seemed to always carry the ball a bit deeper or had a tall target that we had difficulty matching. In the second quarter we double teamed Brown and North just roamed around for a mis match. Very interesting contrast. We could have won but for a few more lapses that we did not exploit. Got a bit cute when we should have taken first option and we had a bit of difficulty with the inconsistency of umpiring decisions favouring North.

Not sure about Sudan and Rawanda but the plaudits are certainly well deserved. as to wether initiator or contributors should be the rightful recipient of the prize we may have to seek judgment from ........?...... say Bob Dylan A man who would certainly appreciate the lyrical content producing supreme emotional responses

Sounds a bit like doggies last year. They kept plugging away got stronger and found a way to win. We had so many good players but they were exhausted in the last, fumbles, lack of run poor decisions. some of the poorer performers need to have a good hard look and lift or go back to Casey. Hogan perhaps performs better around the ground where he certainly creates a contest. While he is great one on one he can't match double and triple teams Pedo Bugg Trengove all have experience at AFL level and could step in and up. i reckon Jack Watts is showing his class, others should lift just through his presence. We just have to look really hard at the Dons and beat them next week.

Similar feelings BBO but not so prevalent with obvious omens. Isolated myself from the festivities of Beechworth where friends had gathered. Didn't locate to the local match to maintain focus on the match which was at least being broadcast on the ABC. Disruption as others returned meant I missed the sequence of events from a 21 point lead to a 6 point deficit! I blame myself. So much optimism. so little reward? Champion teams find a way to win. (Look at the doggies this week) We just need to find that feature but at least we are getting closer. is there any point in flogging the obvious?

Graeme Cordey who played with him said Deisel had outstanding peripheral vision which enhanced his impact. In his opinion Deisel was the best he played amongstfor ball use.

Wouldn't think it would be an invite but can agree that it would be a deserved flogging

Just saw in what constitutes banter after the game, where commentators become even more indulgent that BT was asked if he was returning to Romsey. is there something even more sinister that we should know about?
  14. Workers compensation claims are almost unlimited. was advised many years ago can be lodged 99 years after death. Asbestos claims are a good example of consequences of poor work practices

Sorry to be so reticent in my response. From my humble position my access to demonland is restricted to late night binges followed by periods of self enforced abstinence. Often the effects of this thread alone are enough to induce bouts of uncontrollable delight similar to drug induced states. I am also finding that the expanding commentary on success now entering Demonland almost compulsory and certainly comprehensive. However this thread is certainly my mandatory reading and I am pleased to see again your alternative truth wisdom on display. Trump may claim some ownership of this method however I think the evidence is historically available here that demonland contributors have invented and mastered this technique. Perhaps yourself, Biffen an other notables should mount a campaign to the good old USA to receive appropriate recognition of you efforts. Look forward to conference detail

Pleased that you have transitioned so well. The blandness here has been exacerbated by the constant bickering over alternative truths, heat and renewable energy. Suggest you maintain popularity by introducing a women's league. It seems to have worked well as a distraction for AFL. Your entourage appears to comprise all necessary elements for successful wealth generation, just don't be lulled into including accountants and all should be well.

I'm ambivalent male and female tennis cricket cycling squash and (soccer) football both interest me for the contest , skill and theatre. However I am a male and the vicarious experience of males playing is more attractive to me. I relate to male involvement and reflect on my own capacity against that benchmark. I have enjoyed playing with Females but as I age fear that concentrating on females leaves me open to accusations of sexist behaviour.
  20. I repeat my previous comment that rather than a rigid denial with blame shifting some transparency would assist in mitigating the impacts on JH and perhaps other s involved in the program he initiated. perhaps his fate her could get Danks and others involved in the programto provide a full disclosure of what occurred to relieve some of the unimaginable torment that this case has and is causing. it seems AFL and WADA are limited in any defence they can provide without this sort of disclosure. It would certainly be more difficult to propose treatment without full knowledge of previous circumstances. From the reports released, i have complete sympathy for JH and deep regret that he is suffering and can only hope that current and future actions can help recovery
  21. Agree with the need for sensitive consideration and so was amazed where his father was reported as blaming AFL, the club and seemingly every one else for James condition. While this can be seen as a standard reaction, it again continues the avoidance tactics which have led us to this point. it must make players who were treated with unknown substances that James reportedly endorsed and used wonder if the current condition is arising from that use. I hope that they at least are receiving more comprehensive and truthful information than is being reported.

Survived the Xmas festivities. The demon force season review in Yarraville the highlight. catching up with Ron and Aina with news from the coast added to the nostalgia. Unfortunately overcome by the euphoria of coming season anticipation can't remember which away game we will be attending. Tassie Alice or Darwin. hoping to catch up in the new year. Any demons in the area wanting to celebrate the potential can attend our New Year Eve celebration in Murmungee. There will be some alternative team supporters available to banter with and some Mt Pilot to share whilst reminding them that the Demons have many vigneron as supporters. It's as good a reason as any for making demon support your new year resolution. Enjoy the off season prognostications and don't under estimate. Celebrations are only just beginning.
  23. It is regrettable that after "serving their time" there has been acknowledgement of wrong doing. Protestation of innocence has been the only constant. I would find it easier to move on were their some recognition of what was done and a statement to never repeat the circumstances. Any publicity of any participants should be used to educate the next generation of what should be done.

Got called out and missed the detail. But the intro showed a rugged looking individual talking of the difficulties that banana growers had faced and the potential of new strains. All sounded familiar having been an avid reader of this thread. Certainly found that size doesn't matter after tasting the most delightful fruit purchased from a roadside stand on a road trip through NSW.Small and looked A little green but 6 in the bunch for $3.00.
