It's all a bit of good natured humour...don't take it too seriously crew.
-
I'm speechless....
-
I don't think Kelly is a fighter 'Pennant', that's his big problem...but Green, Coniglio & Cement are plus I really rate Taranto. We certainly wouldn't want them to get a sniff early.
-
Poor old Clayton...not doing any damage with his possessions say some on here. The coaches obviously don't agree...he picked up 9 votes for Saturday's game & sits 3rd on the leaderboard, pretty average player I think not. The best, most consistent pure mid in the game at the moment. LEADERBOARD 19 Dustin Martin RICH 18 Taylor Walker ADEL 16 Darcy Moore COLL 16 Clayton Oliver MEL

Give it up...no one knows the real story & each of the participants will have their own version. It's their business & raking over it here serves no purpose.

I understand the point you are trying to make...and why. ...but not everyone's situation is the same. You are relating from your personal experience and others personal experience may not be the same. Some have shared differing personal experiences. The mate you confided in wasn't particularly helpful, others have found the opposite. I think the one thing we can all agree on is a need to open up rather than bottle it up. There is no doubt when you are staring down the barrel of fully blown depression just talking with a mate is not going to solve the problem. I don't think that Lyon or anyone else was saying that it would but it can be a step. Hopefully being more open will mean being more open to getting professional help, something that a lot of men don't do well and not just with mental health. ...and I think the flip side is to be aware and if a mate is struggling, talk or at least just try to be there for him. Some won't let you in but others will welcome some empathy and assistance where needed. "No man is an island."

Just thought I might put this in here if that's ok 'joeboy'... Where are all those Oliver can't hurt you knockers tonight? Hah, hah, hah...
-
For someone who is a beautiful kick of the ball he is frustrating to watch missing getable shots. Like you, I'm sure it will click for him... Let the knockers knock but we will have the last laugh 'dee-tox'

Agree 'Red' and interestingly one of the commentators said when Scott approached the umps last year an expected please explain was not forthcoming from the AFL. Remind me...who runs the AFL footy department? and who did he play for? mmmm Yes it's a conspiracy theory but in all honesty they need to be seen to do the right thing and they don't. Is it any wonder fans don't trust the AFL to do the right thing. Scott should be hauled over the coals for this... ...by the way, I was hoping a player did go up and get in his face and then see his reaction.
-
I was furious with them anyway...they were in danger of ruining a good night watching footy.
-
So what's all that got to do with him being slow??? How does this back up your point. Just go off on another rant...
-
I kind of agree 'Macca', but those poor decisions were the icing on the cake and put a dampener on the night for me. If Brisbane had of won it would have been a steal. Fagan was part of the problem (needs to rip into himself), he was badly out coached by Scott all night and capped it off beautifully by allowing a rookie to contest Hawkins 20 out from goal in the dying stages that resulted in a goal. The game was played on Geelong's terms and the Lions never got any quick ball movement going...yes it's a bit harder on the narrow Kardinia Park oval but they (Lions) didn't even try to break the game open. They got back into it with a couple of individual efforts (McLugage) and some tired old Cat legs... On tonights showing I'm not sure either of these teams are a threat this season.
-
You got it right 'Ethan'...those crystal balls are working well tonight...
-
Brisbane have played right into Geelong's hands and let them take the speed out of the game. Pathetic to date, but not helped by a few gift goals at the end of the Q.
-
At the moment Cripps is a liability with the ball moving around the park so quickly. They might need to recast his role as his strength, which is in congestion has been taken from him and now he's become an average plodder. With the emphasis on plodder. The only time he looked dangerous was a couple of times in the ruck contest which at the moment is still a wrestle that plays to his strengths. Maybe forward/ruck might be his go. It appears that the argument over who is the better mid, Cripps or Oliver might be settled fairly quickly this season.
-
Probably not...but I don't think he offer anything unfortunately.
-
Lack of space might not suit him... I hope you're right and I'm wrong though.
-
He is a serious 'Merchant Banker' this guy...maybe the most punchable head in AFL, not that I'm condoning violence here.
-
I'm on record as saying we should have gone after Phillips, in fact I think I was the first on here to mention the possibility. For whatever reason, we didn't make that move. ...so, now Brayshaw is probably our best bet. Certainly streets ahead of Baker. Hopefully one the kids will stand up and demand a shot but until then it looks like Brayshaw is the man.

It worked pretty well on the weekend so lets wait and see...

Harmes now out injured for 6 weeks with broken wrist...Viney for Harmes
-
It might be the reason but it was only luck that saved Zanker. In this case the action should have been taken into account. You can't have tackles like that in the game. Personally I would have told her not to bother coming back this season. Set the standard now before it's too late.
-
Only just had a look at that one...horrendous is right. Lucky not to do serious damage. Should have got multiple weeks for that one.
-
Including the coaches it seems... I think they might have a better idea than you. See below example.

'@binman'...the Cats have done the right thing by us. Our prediction is on track... Thought I should go the early Crow.
