Teague Sacked
They haven't got the guts to appoint another untried coach. Yze won't be going there. I hope Lyon goes there and they screw it up again.

COVID & AFL 2021
I think the Grand Final may yet be played at the MCG... ...a long way to go.

Jack Gunston
...but he wants out & Mitchell might not want him there. A Clarko man and paid out on some in regard to how he was booted. If he's fit he would be an asset.

Brian Taylor in hospital after gas explosion at home
Not wishing him any harm but couldn't they keep him in hospital under observation for the next month.

Exactly 'Webber'...his foot skills alone would add enormously to the list and he gives so much versatility.

CHANGES: QF vs Brisbane
I think it would be Smith for Hibberd...Goody did mention Hibberd doing the job on Cameron last time. As for the Bowey match up... The other side of this is can they find a match up for him. Sometimes we have to back our system v theirs. Clean ball use going forward will expose their defence. Having another good distributor off HB decreases the reliance on Salem. Salem's form has been on the improve again since Bowey has been in the team. Maybe a coincidence and could just be a return to fitness, getting rid of a few niggles. Not saying I'm right and of course you could be on the money.

2021 ABC Footballer of the Year - Clayton Oliver
He was a genuine A grader a couple of years back when he was named AA...he's gone to elite this year.

What's the bet that wherever they play the GF this year there will be no crowd.

COVID & AFL 2021
Ok, I understand the point re federation. The big issue for me at the start of this whole thing was that when a national cabinet was formed, virtually a war cabinet if you like Morrison didn't invite the opposition to be a part of it. It would have been a show of true leadership but instead the politics got in the way. It is not unusual in times of crisis to have both sides of politics working together to find solutions. Unfortunately in these times partisanship has won the fight over communities working together. Just look at all the selfishness out there, yes and look at how the politics and point scoring has been a part of this pandemic from the start. Going all the way back to that DH in the US. The politics of division... Scomo and Albo...FFS is that as good as we've got. They say we get what we deserve, I'm not sure we deserve this. Maybe we, do, we've all been asleep at the wheel as our democracy withers on the vine. Curfews and state border protection don't bother me anywhere near as much as this.

COVID & AFL 2021
It's what happens when you have someone in Canberra that seems to think division is the way to lead.

TEAMS: Rd 23 vs Geelong
I think Smith is a good match for Rohan. Has the pace to go with Rohan and Rohan is not a smart footballer which should suit him.

COVID & AFL 2021
No (at least until we eliminate the current infections), but we're going to have to keep going in and out of lockdown until people are fully vaccinated and the way that's going it's nearly going to be the same thing.

COVID & AFL 2021
This woman has given up...her attitude from the start has put us where we are. The last sentence is a beauty..political spin when leadership is needed. I don't have any confidence now that we will be out of this mess for a long time. "I appreciate what we are going through looks difficult but every state in Australia will need to come to terms with the fact that when you get to a certain level of vaccination and open up, Delta will creep in. "We can't pretend that we will have a zero cases around Australia with Delta. "As the Doherty report says, once you get to 80 per cent double dose and you have to open up, everyone will have to learn to live with Delta. "In New South Wales, we are learning that earlier than others."

Majak Daw off-the-ball incident
Yep, you really can't make that assumption 'Ethan'...agreed. ...but it was an unusual incident, maybe payback for something earlier in the game.

AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURSÂ
A yes to either or both of these 'Lil'...would be more than a good get.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Geelong
Melk is a role player now...with Stewart out there probably isn't a role for him. As for X-factor...if that's code for not getting the footy very much then he has it in spades. To be fair, the role he plays means he's not going to get a lot of it.

Joel Smith signs on for 2022
Yep...

PLAYERS PREPARATION FOR ADELAIDE GAME
I would suspect we are in a tampering off for finals period now, fitness will be in a maintenance phase mainly through games. So maybe not such a big disruption...

Joel Smith signs on for 2022
If he could sort his disposal he could be handy on a wing. As a run with you have to have a degree of footy smarts and he doesn't have that.

Joel Smith signs on for 2022
Yep, I get where you are coming from but I don't think you can select a player forward because he's a liability in defence. Surely we're well done with that. What would that say to Weid??? Smith has had the same problems forward in the past...flying at every contest, spoiling teammates etc. I will add another problem for him as a defender, his disposal and decision making has been poor and he's not a smart enough footballer to play a lockdown role that Hibberd at least can do.

Joel Smith signs on for 2022
Just because he kicked some goals in a practice match doesn't make him a forward. He's not a forwards a....hole I'm with 'Polly', no way...and if he does get a game this week it will be in the back half which is where he has been playing with Casey. ...and he won't want to stuff up with May and Lever running that show.

Steven May interview - SEN
He's a beauty...love him on the field and off.

COVID & AFL 2021
Leadership has changed to followship...my own new word sorry '@Demonstone'. Followship is the art of following the trend...not setting or doing anything that might offend a group of important voters. Tap into what they're thinking then go with that. It's the antithesis of Leadership. It's common to all sides of politics now, but I will say our PM is a renowned exponent. The leader of the opposition, if anyone bothered to listen to him is probably not a lot better.

CHANGES: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
...but can he take instruction? He will need to be able to listen to Lever and May. Otherwise it will be a very short return to senior footy and put him on the outer at the end of season.

CHANGES: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Yet he was still able to do some great lockdown roles during the early part of the season. Might have a bit more in the tank after a rest. I think he will be back this weeK. Maybe they will give Smith a run, he has the obvious athletic attributes but he sure doesn't have the footy smarts. Would this make him a liability to a well drilled defence?
