CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Good, now Harmsy has a job for the night...

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND: DANIEL TURNER
The cost should be similar to Hibberd, Melk, Langdon...as you say a 2nd rounder, or commensurate trade. They always paid overs...and for 2 of them.

Nuggets' Music Videos
There are some high points on that album but few and far between. Just didn't work more's the pity...the old football adage of a team of champions v a champion team comes to mind. Found this earlier today from the show I went to, morphs into "Slow Turning". Funny some of the things you remember but Hiatt's facial expressions when he's selling a song always stuck with me, a magic live performer.

More like..."if someone offers a free room for the night in an Adelaide Hotel...run".

Where Will We Play Collingwood? (QB Big Freeze)
Even if we could get 100% capacity into the 'G' I don't think we would get a big crowd anyway. The crowds have been down here for number of reasons, mainly COVID related. Besides which C/Wood are playing like busted's and their army (lol) just won't show up. C/Wood fans are a bunch of downhill skiers. Maybe it would be a blessing to move it...

The political machinations at Collingwood
It's looking like the natives are getting very restless so my call may not be correct. They want a say and not a backroom deal. How powerful are the membership? all clubs talk the talk, I'm not sure any including ours actually walk it. It's going to be interesting watching how they handle this.

Nuggets' Music Videos
A bit of lockdown music to kick off the day. I first saw John Hiatt supporting Robert Cray at the concert hall around '91 I think. What a charismatic performer (not to mention great writer), I had never heard of him before this show and was hooked from the first bar. As for Robert, well a little bit underwhelming to be honest. Hiatt was the star of this show & a hard act to follow. The new album with Jerry Douglas is a cracker...by the way, is that a "whammy bar" on Jerry's dobro? Enjoy!

The political machinations at Collingwood
My guess is there will be a "peaceful", hand over of power. As much as we & the media would love the turmoil of a special AGM, I can't see it happening.

2021 Off season targets
I had no inside knowledge but have been pushing this for a while now. Pies will need to get in a good draft position and Maynard is one of the few chips they have. He would be perfect fit in our defence.

The 2021 Rising Star Thread
...and he's been trusted to take some of the kick outs even from his first season/game. It doesn't hurt having mentors like Lever, May, Hibberd & Jetta around the club. How things have changed.

COVID & AFL 2021
I hope you are right... Why probable...I think there may be a lot more in the incubation period. I hope I'm wrong.

Probably find that number jumps in the next few days...

We've done pretty well out of Freo as of late. Langdon and effectively May. Can't see how we manufacture this one though.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Maybe time to bring Bowey in for a run...but I'm not a Baker fan. Get Langers right for the 2nd half of the season.
-
Langdon Concussion
You've got system but Baker can't cover the K's Langdon does. Not many can, a huge loss...
-
Darcy Parish
No revisionism needed...Parish was always going to be a good player, heading to being an A grader. It's just Oliver is already there and heading to elite.

16 Minute Quarters Again?
Chris Scott would love it... Suits dad's army.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Western Bulldogs
Probably let Trac & Bont go head to head in the middle...Hibbo pick him up forward. Wonder if they will tag Oliver or Trac? Probably Libba & Oliver will fight it out around the ball. Brayshaw to work hard on Hunter, he gets too much ball on us. Let them worry about Langdon.

COVID & AFL 2021
This argument was run last year and the way we're going it will be next year. Successive federal governments sold off the old quarantine facilities, admittedly they were outdated and used in the days ships were the mode of transporting people. The money (went to making the budget bottom line look better) didn't go into providing new facilities around major airports which it should have...it's been known for a long time that a pandemic of some sort would hit but we weren't prepared. There will be more. So...now is the time to start building otherwise there will be many more short terms down the track.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Western Bulldogs
I believe Mcrae is the danger...apart from the HB's he's the generator. Bont is a good player but it's Macrae, he's gettable and I think we need to put work into him.

COVID & AFL 2021
So, back to football. Will our game go on tomorrow night or will all Melbourne clubs need to get out asap???? Just thinking on similar lines...

COVID & AFL 2021
A group of scientists were pushing for this capacity a while back...we would have been well down the track to having the capability to manufacture if they had of been listened too. Now it's going to be a good 12 months plus with all the p....around and if it's like energy policy it will never happen. Science and politics don't seem to be good bedfellows these days unfortunately.

COVID & AFL 2021
Will be very surprised if there are crowds allowed on the weekend...despite what his being said.

2021 Injury List
It's interesting...the rumour/inside gos has been it's a groin. ...but if true there would seem little advantage in keeping it secret, it would be doubtful that he would play & no one to target. Although it may keep the dogs guessing & having to plan even though he mightn't play. So may make sense. However if it were a shoulder problem, or maybe a facial injury I could understand not telegraphing that to opponents. Let's just hope he plays...
