We don't seem to make much change in game...nothing obvious like moving Moore to FF. ...but we have made substantial change to our set up in the 2nd half of the season.
-
Given that we don't really have an option, Melk has become the de facto 2nd tall and he's doing a good job of it. The FD have been creative with their use of the rucks and Melk. JVR is not ready, as much as I would have liked him to be...wanting it so doesn't make it so. Weid has been tried and tried but not the answer. Smith might have been an answer if injury didn't get in his way yet again, not enough time to make a case I would have thought. Tommy Mac really isn't a show of being back. So what we've got is it...Melk and the resting rucks are the 2nd tall, with a bit more Trac time forward.

There's a saying that some people are glass half full and others glass half empty type people. Some that post on here seriously can't even find the glass. Agree, we're in with as good a chance as any this season.

Yep, the one last week...the behaviour on line to Ah Chee because Cripps got suspended for knocking him rotten. It's hard to fathom if these people have a brain cell between them. Now this week we have more. It doesn't make Carlton look good but honestly they're not on their own. Yep 'Jaded' unfortunately have to agree...

Was good tonight...

If current players weren’t playing footy..

Thanks '@Ethan Tremblay'...magic work mate. -
I like Harmes...he annoys me at times when he tries to take on too much but other than that I reckon he's alright. ...and there are some 'RR' similarities 'rpfc', have they been seen in the same room?

The AFL will again say the tribunal & appeals boards are independent. ...we all know that's a bit of a stretch.
-
He's not past it at all...would be a great appointment in this role.

I'm an equal opportunity supporter, I hate 'em all.

The only problem I have with Jeremy is the sulking about having to play in the backline. Wanted to be a forward. Went to Collingwood to be a forward... Until Buckley realised we were right all along, got praised for being a master coach. For what...moving Howe to defence.

A lot can change in 6 weeks. Will it? Who knows...how about we check in around 6pm on GF night and see who won it.
-
It wasn't biased 'norm'...they outplayed as comprehensively in the 2nd half.
-
I agree with Ed, they play a brand of footy that can come seriously unstuck and I think we're the team to unstick them.

Good old Gill, wouldn't know leadership it bit him. He's the poster boy for followship, the art of pretending to lead after the event & only when the s... has hit the fan.

Lyon???Eddie???

I'm not sure it would be a good move for North. They have Cunnington due back in and he's their spiritual leader if you like...they need to blood kids in the midfield and they don't know whether he will get his spot back. Bringing in Mundy to take up another spot makes no sense. Great player Mundy but doesn't bring a wealth of finals experience either. They are probably better off chasing one of the older Tiger players...

Did we...I know we didn't do a repeat of a previous camp as players weren't too keen but was it the same as this one? I didn't think so.

In Season - Loading/Periodisation: Put your conjecture here.

II remember studying periodisation in training for my level 2 coaching some time around 1990. The concept has been out there for a while now. -
Yep...

Loading is not sexy...stirring debate and creating emotional responses keeps people dangling on the line. I watched a bit of the couch last night. Example..Tom Hawkins walking the length of the field to berate Tom Stewart & his fellow defenders was great leadership. When Steven May has a go then it's dissent in the ranks, they're not a happy club...it's all falling apart. David Noble didn't know how to handle the current generation, was too hard on the players. McVeigh, good on him for telling some truth, would love this level of honesty at my club. Any wonder I've been turning this stuff off, it's pure garbage wrapped around the idea they are doing cutting edge analysis. Healy's departure has hastened the demise of a once ok show...it's really poor now. -

We will smash the 'A F'... -
They've done a great job to stay up there but... They made finals last year but I would say were uncompetitive.. Is it better to win premierships or be just making up the numbers sometimes being competitive in the top 8? You build a premiership through a core group of players that come through together from the draft. Selwood, Hawkins & Duncan are the last men standing...they've replaced the likes of Chapman, Johnson, Bartel, Scarlett, Taylor, Enright, Corey etc...but you never really replace that level of talent, age and commitment. If they don't win it this year then they will fall off the cliff as those 3 move on starting with Selwood next year. It's over 10 years since their last flag and time is up for this list. Is this competitiveness really fools gold????

Dare I say he's just a very naughty boy. -
I normally love listening and watching anything football at this time of the year. ...but I just (and it's not just because it's great) put on music now...King has ruined my enjoyment so I find it elsewhere. If we do happen to win the flag this year I will make a point of ringing and in the words of Teddy Whitten "stick it right up him"...
