  2. Lachie Hunter...back to his best with us.
  3. I would be happy with 4 and dropping the cap on rotations significantly. That would minimise the issue with injuries.
  4. I'm waiting for the coaches to start wingeing about how unfair it is if they get an injury early on and are one man down. ...so then we will get a 5 man bench and injury sub. ...but then the cry will be about how some are abusing it and it's not fair. ...then we will go to a 6 man bench. ....but then. Anyway, you get the idea.
  5. Interesting read...I guess we knew this anyway. https://www.womens.afl/news/110449?_ga=2.147689975.1738527483.1666704721-2020571945.1662186548
  6. Has he gone yet?
  7. You've got your sums wrong 'Pennant'... Surely with 2 dodgy knees it's 2x4 flags and 2x 300 games. So I'll be expecting 8 flags and the first player to reach 600+ games.
  8. Looking forward to this one 'BDA'...hopefully the weather holds and we can build that percentage.
  9. Like to have seen them do it on their own...they didn't and that's the point. Without a strong list, many of those who played in winning game to get us there we fail. The season is more than just one game...it's a season. Anyway, won't argue any longer otherwise I will get your 'Lord' impersonation.
  10. This is very like the blazers... A dumb a.... idea is always a dumb a... idea.
  11. They are a joy to watch...never thought I would get into the women's game but I do. The enthusiasm is infectious.
  12. It's the only way he will get a gig...he seems allergic to recruitment processes.
  13. She's improving by the game 'bin'. Her kicking style will never be a thing of beauty but the effectiveness in kicking to position has come a long way in a short time.
  14. ...brought in Walsh to do his dirty work and washes his hands. His recruiting decisions are a huge part of where the club sits it's been obvious for a while that their rebuild was mismanaged. Ratten has little responsibility for the list rebuild. See above..
  15. Thought exactly the same thing last night. Some of their players will feel betrayed by this.
  16. Honestly...this is pathetic. Their list isn't up to scratch & that's not Ratten's fault. Scattergun recruiting, a lot of it under their new CEO...I think the blame lies elsewhere. I feel for Ratten
  17. Just checking the calendar... 13th of October. Not April 1?
  18. Agree 'Jimmy'...you have to spread your risk. Anything can happen to derail a players career. Think McCartin and concussion...O'Meara looked was a generational talent when drafted, injury has cut him down to being a good ordinary footballer. Daniher & Hogan, the experts & fans were arguing over who would be the best out of these 2 future greats...Rowell looked like a Brownlow medallist in his first season until injury cut him down...
  19. I did hear it being kicked around in the media last week but seemed nothing serious in it. ...but who would make the decision anyway? The AFL are still without CEO and Head of Football for the coming season.
  20. Great to see this..go Lize. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1236323/aflw-eliza-mcnamara-first-run-back?videoId=1236323&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1665476999001
  21. I hope North take him...I guess it's a bit closer to Geelong. ...can get the train from Spencer Street.
  22. Who...
  23. Yep, meant to mention something about this. Many years back I was playing footy and we had a new recruit, a big "yank" in the ruck. In his first season he did throw the ball a bit, came from basketball but by the 2nd season he was quite accomplished, well he could and did handball. The umpires were still calling it against him...he was getting so frustrated. "God damn it umpire I handballed it". Maybe time for the FD to have a word to the umpiring department.
  24. Others probably know this, but I heard on SEN today that in Gaelic Football you can't take possession of the ball unless you are on your feet. Mackin was on the ground with a Doggies player, hence her deft tap over to Paxy...very smart football. She's getting better with each game.
  25. That little tap that was missed by the commentators in the first Q. She opened out the space for Paxy to get the handball across to Tay for the goal. When her teammates get more faith to use her she will really take a game apart.
