Melbourne rd 10 was the highlight of the season for mine.

They'd both be mid first round compensation picks, not sure how you're arriving at St Kilda getting theirs first.

Yeh, I'd agree really. They have a strong culture and good disciplined players who know their roles. Which only reinforces my point that these are the sort of players we should be looking to bring in through FA and the trade. Not looking for future superstars through the draft.

Oh kay... so some of us aren't learning our lessons here. Look at how Melbourne have sought to build our list over the last 5 years by playing for high draft picks and compare that to how the Swans have gone about it, bringing in second tier players from other clubs and turning them into quality role players. Adam Goodes is the only star on that team and an aging one at that yet they beat the star-studded Hawks in the Grand Final with a bunch of role players. It's definitely time we start rethinking how we go about putting our team together.
