I went to AAMI park today. (invited) to look around the training complex. Things were pretty quiet. Players were getting checked over physically and prepared for little clean up surgical procedures to have them ready for the next pre season. Roosy and Co were also conducting end of season reviews (so I was told) didn't see him. I was standing in the pool room (swimming) and Wattsy happened to walk past, he turned, smiled and gave me the thumbs up. He looked pretty up to me. just saying, probably means Jack smith.

Roosy said in his latest interview that there were many meetings over the past month, to quickly improve the side so that by Round 1 next year, we will have a very experienced team that is going to be consistent for 4 quarters. I just wonder about the players on the fringe watching a bloke like Watts continually gifted games. Whilst these others bust their guts and don't get a look in. It must feel demoralising. Consistency should run through the whole club. If you don't put in get dropped and work on your difficiencies. You then get reviewed at the end of the year and told your future is no longer at Melbourne. Apparently this type of review has been done with the football dept. they have set up a type of team that will be required next year to take the next big step. I would love to see that white board and who they are targeting and who is on the outer.

Goody will have a huge say in the End of season culling. It won't stop at the players. Midfield coach Matthews that took over from Goody mid season was a disaster. McPherson as Forward coach you are joking. Those two guys would coach the best players and turn them into duds. I've also lost confidence in Rawlings. I think there has been a total lack of communication between Roos and his assistants.

What makes people think we will be better next year. The glimpses of a few good games. The development of these players is and always has been a problem. The 2nd year blues will hit us between the eyes. I wrote an email to Roosy stressing the fact that our midfield has fallen apart since Goody took the reins of Assistant Senior Coach and Matthews (who) is our midfield coach. McPherson (who) is our Forward coach. Mind you I have never got a response from any email I have sent to the FD. Goody should demand more from his assistants and should act like a new coach and bring in his own group that will coach his way. I think there has been too many teething problems so far. Roos is coach but Goody is coach in waiting. He wants things done a certain way but Goody wants it done differently. This causes confusion amongst the coaches and players. Until we have one person in charge we will not improve. The succession plan this time has not been seemless like it was at the swans. This is because the Swans were successful before Longmire took over. We were/are a basket case, so it is a totally different scenario. The problem is not a player problem it is a FD problem that involves the players. Fix this problem and the players will improve I'll stop now I think my IPad is running out of ink.
