I noticed and commented elsewhere, the whole mid field players could not lift their legs to run after 1/2 time. It may have been training loads catching up or a virus may have gone through the club.

Happy to see you made it back safely BBOIf not just a trifle grumpy.

I feel sorry for for BBO a bit of lettuce on us, a trip to Manuka and back with the squeeze. A quiet trip home I guess. What went wrong apart from the team throwing the anchor overboard. Not one in the midfield apart from Viney can look at each other in the eye. What supplements are we on? We obviously took the sleeping pills. Or maybe there is a mystery virus that hit us in our nations capital. Then again that virus ain't a mystery. Is it too much to wish that last week wasn't a dream? Definitely changes next week, we won't be going too tall next week. For those that thought Jamar played well last week, he played exactly the same this week. Shouse!!!

He obviously has done a lot of extra training on his deficiencies over the off season. Although he looks very robotic with his actions he does get his results. He is not running too far without bouncing the ball. His decision making has improved out of site. Even his mistakes are no longer blunders.

He showed a lot on Saturday. Far more than a lot that have been in the system. His body is strong and mentally is as tough as anyone I have seen for a long time. The self confidence is great, but he has a fantastic confidence in a the team mates he has playing with him. He will get better and will lift the team confidence.

But the other clubs have taken a chunk out of their forward line.

We have had some good performances there against swans, Norf and the Giants. Some we never returned with the bickies, but weren't blown away. We have a different team now (stating the bleeding obvious) but the ground doesn't hold any fears. I don't think the team holds any fears for anyone. Let's chalk up No. 2

First of all apologies to the players not mentioned. Newton, his work rate off the ball was amazing, shepherding calling instructions, topped off by 2 very nice goals. Watts, never have been a fan, but his work rate was second to none. He can still be lackadaisical with kicking from behind the mark or in general play. But I overlooked it this time. Tommy McDonald, he certainly has done a lot of skills training over the summer. My heart isn't in my mouth every time he gets near the ball. Garland, always a favourite of mine, but this time he had a simple game plan that was easy for him to execute.

You select a team to beat an opponent. GC are full of young energetic runners throughout the midfield and back line. I felt we were short in that match up. It has been proven that Brayshaw can read a game. He can go and get the ball as well as receive it. He certainly has goal sense, and he doesn't mind a bit of Argy Bargy. What part of football does grimes have that he doesn't?
