  1. Well 12 months ago the excitement was building with the MCG Elimination final vs Geelong fast approaching. Alas now we ( those who are football lovers)are neutral observers again for September. I'm certainly done with the trade everyone and blame everyone talk, so week 1 finals thread time for me Thurs Eagles vs Bombers - can't see the Eagles dropping this, dry conditions forecast and Nic Nat creating havoc around the clearances I can't see the Bombers generating enough run and carry to control the game and expose the Eagles ground level deficiencies to cause an upset. Eagles by 23pts Fri Cats vs Pies - tough choice I think this will be a great game. Both sides with big game players, but just get feeling the Pies will benefit from the break and getting a leg up with the Hawks surprisingly beating the Eagles at home, giftingthem the double chance. Grundy will potentially be the difference in the game for mine. Pies by 11pts Sat Giants vs Dogs - time for Giants to get back to being hard at the contest and exposing sides with their outside run. The week off hurt Dogs momentum and allowed the Giants to get back on track under the radar Giants by 15pts Sat Lions vs Tigers -Tigers have all the momentum coming in but, Brissy's back at home, dry day warm conditions. If they break even in the middle and limit turnovers they will win at home Just Lions by 3pts
  2. Agreed Talk about the lunatics running the asylum.
  3. Be a great story but we shall wait and see, East Freo had quite a young Colts side this season but that's common for WAFL clubs to build sides over a 2 to 3 year period and to play a lot of their younger squad members towards the end of the season. North Freo had a win in A Grade Elimination final last weekend and come up against CBC Freo in a derby final this week. Woey's a great bloke and great football person. He's built strong cultures wherever he's been and very professional in his approach. He's not short of job offers and think he may move on at seasons end And as others have said, time and exposure to the coaching side of the game have helped heal some wounds.
  4. Be careful they like to complain Pathetic troll, very boring life
  5. I'm not talking about selling the farm for him, just bringing him in to help Weids development
  6. I'd give them pick 2 for Whitfield absolute gun and not many better ball users in the game
  7. He played most of this year down back Ethan, I'd take him on the cheap can take a grab and keeps a defender busy opening it up for Tmac and Weid
  8. Yeah I started asking a footy related question than remembered who I was responding to
  9. I'd keep him for depth, he'd only get games if he's banging the door down or we get hit by injuries
  10. It's a tough one both have plenty of upside and years ahead of them, Brayshaw is so much of what we already have in abundance, whilst Cerra is a good user and decision maker Interesting times ahead
  11. possibly, but I think Freo are keen
  12. Yes chief WA scout was a regular attendee at the family home
  13. Elijah Taylor, Cody Weightman if we trade down pick 2/3 for 2 picks and pick up one of the Tigers overflows or Sam Gray on the cheap
  14. FFS if you're relying on him/her to provide any valuable input don't hold your breath. This is the same poster who wanted us to use pick #2 on Liam Henry
  15. He may well do and I expect it to drag on but pick 21 is fair Suns are in salary cap strain having been forced to pay overs to keep young talent so pick 2 in PSD is always there if Bell wishes to posture
  16. I actually don't mind this DD, this season exposed our depth issues and just like Crossy, Bernie and Lewy Chunks time is coming and it would be good to have him as depth which I expect he will be if the majority of our list remains fit
  17. I live in WA mate, they are fickle lot over here and turn very quickly on players who decide they are moving. Eagles supporters turned very quickly on Judd, when he said he was going home. They fail to acknowledge he looked after them when he could have walked through the PSD, which Carlton wanted him to do I agree with you about not paying overs, pick 21 is about right
  18. Yeah my brother is a member and is gutted, whilst he's not the most damaging by foot absolute gut runner, who he believes is only going to get better
  19. I don't mind trading down for 2 picks, still some good players available who I have seen and been impressed with Jeremy Sharp good run and carry player who uses the ball well could be played off a HBF Elijah Taylor small/medium forward who IMO is better than Liam Henry with more upside
  20. All the best drunkn to Dec and all the family. Cheers for the insight over the years and whilst it may not have been the glamorous career he'd hoped for it was longer than ours
  21. Can't believe it took 38 responses for this
