Pennant St Dee replied to Dingo's topic in Melbourne Demons
DMMA if he focussed on getting himself right for the finals tilt he would still be with us. Trust me -

And that is the reason he is gone and the call was made on him -
Robbo (Mark) doesn't think we'll make finals

You've summed up my thoughts entirely with the last two lines -

Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Robbo may be a [censored] but I have reservations. I expect finals but I am not overly confident, because like others I don't trust the list entirely yet. We will click soon just hope it's 2018 and not 2019 -
AFLW: Rd 3 Vs Fremantle in Perth
Pennant St Dee replied to darkhorse72's topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
For all those whinging about umpiring ffs cop on. Bad kicking cost us that game. The failure to convert in the 1st and the continous long bombs into the forward pocket in the 3rd instead of the dangerzone at the top of the square. You make your own luck in footy blaming the umpires is a convenient excuse -
As a Toffee I despise the one on the left. Don't mind Schwabbys logo. Although I actually just like the MFC monogram

Decent strike rate there DC mine all schoolboy/colts level 4 prelims, 3 losses 1 win Lost GF by 10pts

I'm hoping the failures of Freo, North x 2, Round 23 and not putting the foot on opposition throats when needed burns. If it does and the list matches its talent with desire and hardwork. We will be top 6 IMO, maybe higher if everything goes well. If the playing group just thinks it will happen we will wake up a third of the way through the season playing catch up like the 05 Dogs and 06 Cats

Viney Setback? (Will miss AFLX & JLT, On track for Rd 1)
Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Remember the Bombers of 99 without Hird. Good sides don't worry about who they haven't got they just worry about who they have got. Time for others to step up. Jack will be back when he's ready and believe it or not we will be the better for it long term -
Tom Lynch best free agent available and woyld be every clubs target if he heading back to Victoria

Voted love it but more of a like it. Despite our poor years in the Royal Blue it was our jumper when I started following my beloved Dees way back. I've always maintained we must be red and blue. The dark blue with red back is great, a reverse of our traditional jumper would be fine along with the Royal Blue if we must wear one. Just not white

IMO the more they reduce interchange rotations the more you will see small/medium sized players on team lists. Endurance and footy smarts will be a premium. You will still need 2 KPFs but players who are a liability when the ball hits the deck will be made redundant -
If you look on the bright side Swyl can blame all failures from here on in, on the falure to attend the training camp as opposed to 186?

Are you sure, we could have a longer thread than the No B$ thread with his ridiculous illinformed claims and clear lack of understanding footy clubs

Cheers HT, Liam and Saty for the pics and everyone for the updates. Much appreciated -
Yes I know of several people who became members in the second half of the season as low membership guaranteed you a GF ticket

A Merry 2017 Christmas to All Demonlanders
Pennant St Dee replied to rjay's topic in Melbourne Demons
Merry Christmas everyone and here's hoping we all have a very happy New Year ????????????? -
I agree old dee we are heading down the US track very quickly. Grand Finals will soon be for the rich and a select few. As an interstate member I make 2 to 3 games a year at the G and the Subi games. I go and watch junior footy/wafl colts every weekend and local footy on Saturday. Love my Amateur footy in a Saturday arvo with a group of mates and our kids can't beat $4 beers. The AFL needs to be careful pricing out the regular punter and killing the goose who laid the golden egg

The complainant hasn't made a statement as per Vicpol release. I like everybody else on Demonland is in the dark on a lot of the details. The female involved may have not even reported it, I have seen it happen before when what is referred to as the early complainant makes the report. IMO it's best for all involved to just let it run its course

They'll be up and firing early Round 1 and a very tough side. I think they will get found out as the season gets deeper. As FD says I wont be slitting my wrists blaming the Boot camp saga

As someone with many years investigative experience I would advise many to just let this ride out. No complaint is the same and for various reasons the complainant doesn't always tell the truth for a number of reasons. I've investigated many incidents where the complainant has held details back due to trauma inflicted and not wishing to relive it again Boys can be stupid and alcohol can cloud their judgement but there can also be situations where regret and feelings of shame can make people twist the truth for a justification for their sexual inhibitions. We are not the only club to have a player subject to such an allegation this off season we are just the club whose allegation hit the media

It's not just people trying to compare AFL and NRL players they are trying to compare our club with a team boasting 3 of the top half dozen players of their generation
