  1. I'm amazed supporters actually think Saturday's game won't be fully reviewed and that no preparation was put in for a battle. What happened on Saturday was the result of several factors 4 games of high intensity football A game style which is taxing An emotional wave and high we and the playing group had been on for 5 weeks A need to play our trump cards in round 22 due to bad losses earlier in the season A warm day in Perth I believed earlier in the week we were close to hitting a wall physically and emotionally and felt we would fall away after halftime. I also felt for us to have any chance of a win we would need to start well and be 5 or 6 up at halftime. Both sides were nervous at the start turning the ball over but once they got the first goal they settled and sat back inviting us to come through the corridor but with no line breaking runner's take the game we were forced to kick short and they zoned off on players in the middle waiting to pounce on any errant kick, fumble or handball. They got what they wished for and kicked 4 goals from our mistakes not from anything they did. We panicked confidence dropped and we felt the pressure real and perceived. At stoppages they started their mids 15/20m from the ball not allowing us to push them under the ball like last time and also negaing big Maxy from hitting the ball into space for our boys on the outside The coaches made changes putting Tmac behind the ball even opening up our forward 50 to try and free up areas to kick long with IMO trying to force some forward stoppages and hopefully scoreboard pressure in an attempt to stem momentum but still we turned it over. In the first 10 mins we hade some decent half chances inside 50 but we didn't take any of them. Their crowd got into the game which didn't happen in round 22 with our start. We will learn from this as we did from the Swans and Cat losses How the hell did the Cats throw away a 4 goal lead with 7mins left in the 05 SF. They panicked but they learnt from it
  2. Difficult day but to those who never gave up 6. AVB 5. Harmes 4. Hibberd 3. Oliver 2. Salem 1. Trac
  3. This I can't stand Meth Coast and it would be unbearable living over here.
  4. Just one of those days. Thought we'd struggle given the emotional wave we've been on but thought we'd be on early. What does interest me is the return of many posters who were strangely missing when we were up
  5. Depends whether your the offender or victim Biff
  6. I have said previously the threat isn't Freo it's Meth Coast. Jesse's contract ends at a time which is perfect for them Kennedy will be done Le cras will be done and Natanui's wage will be significantly lower. I hate them but they are well run and any leaks from them are deliberate
  7. That wouldn't have been done in error that paper is pro Meth Coast to the point Freo supporters complain about it. The media here ran a story earlier in the week complaining about the Herald Sun only having the 3 Vic sides in it. They will be looking for bites
  8. Great place to live and bring up a family not the best place to visit without knowing a local who knows all the haunts. And a shocking sense of having a chip on their shoulders about their sporting teams but otherwise Great weather Great local sporting facilities Best beaches in the world and As others have said Great Sunday sessions
  9. Not a chance he goes to Rioli or Ryan. Always does well against the indigenous small/medium forwards and anyone he plays on for that matter
  10. I was at that game the Pies were dominating them through the middle but with Pendlebury recovering from a virus and Treloar in his first game back after 10weeks out they just ran out of legs. To add further salt to the wound Adams copped a hit to the head and was forced from the ground.
  11. Disagree in terms of Yeo being forced out of the guts robs them of one of their major clearance bulls and still leaves us with Brayshaw Viney Clarrie and Tyson to roll through the middle

and I hope he was open enough to tell you we weren't prepared to pay what Gaff was asking for.
  13. Couldn't care less about how we are stereotyped. Speaking for mysel only, not born with a silver spoon in the mouth, never skied, left school at 15 without a private school education and despite my envy I don't own a Range Rover. But I do love my Dees and we are as passionate as anybody

Agree with McQueen. For Dees heading to the ground for the first time the Camfield is a huge pub right next to the ground but expect big queues to get in and big queues to get served. Inside the ground a couple of good bars on level 5 namely, The Northern Terrace bar near block 519 or The Gage Roads Bar near block 503
  15. This is true, heading away for dads & lads weekend with the junior side I coach. Our club wears the Hawks colours and all the Meth Coast supporters are wearing our club polos caps and/or training shirts.
  16. Hope you're right GC
  17. Massive test this week in terms of our maturity. Going in on the back of a big win, overwhelming favourites and big expectations. Clarko and the Hawks will be sitting back licking their lips ready to ambush us. Boys need to go in with the same intensity and pressure as last week. Make statements from the first bounce
  18. Absolutely no change Spargo provides running options and stays with direct opponents, which with our defensive team structure shows why he's preferred by the FD to Garlett and why JKH is ahead of Garlett Tyson imo was good in close when the heat was on in the first half
  19. I'm heading to Optus tonight with my eldest whose a Pie and a couple of my Meth Coast mates. No doubt who I'll be cheering for despite a Meth Coast win and us rolling the Hawks would enable me to get to the prelim
  20. He got better in the second half but when the heat was on in the first half he was weary of Viney around the stoppages
  21. Must be catching beetle I'm polishing them off like lolly water and having little effect to my euphoric finals win high
  22. Seriously tough decision tonight there were boys like Hibbo and Lewy who were massive with their calmness and intercepts along with Frosty. Gawny was immense in the first half but felt there were others who passef hom after half time. Nibbler AVB and Melkshams pressure acts were massive, also pleased with Tracs ball use, composure and decision making but here goes 6. Brayshaw 5. Weid 4. Viney 3.Harmes 2. Oliver 1. Jetta
  23. We are a team could have absolutely smashed them, we did physically but the scoreboard flattered them. Watched it with my 11 year old who jumped off in the dark years when he was 5, but he cheered as hard as I did tonight. Cmon boys don't be content with one win enjoy the moment and move on you are seriously becoming good and as the Reverand said in his lead up speech to QB, why not us
  24. Just start the game I'm as nervous as I suspect the players will be. Fridge full of some Cricketers Arms and Peroni's, lets hope it's a happy drink
