  1. Good to see the whole equalisation is achieving what it set out to do. Freo play Adelaide, GWS, West Coast, Bulldogs and GC twice this season. Who would have thought that would HELP them make finals?
  2. And guess who it was. That's right. Demonland's favourite. Number 28. God I hope we don't get him next week. 3. I've done that from coughing. Bloody hurts. You can't breathe deeply because the lung expansion makes it feel like your being stabbed in the chest. Had trouble sleeping too.
  4. Perhaps he needs to join the queue instead.
  5. Pity. You missed our best footy.
  6. First game that Gawn doesn't dominate the hit-outs and this is what happens.
  7. What?! He didn't mention how odd it was that new recruit Clayton Oliver wasn't selected in our side?
  8. Agreed we should aim to win anywhere. But at least schedule us there against a team that we only play once. To play the Saints at their home ground twice in the one season is a joke.
  9. Maybe they should have played an interstate team at Etihad SO WE COULD AT LEAST PLAY ST KILDA ONCE AT OUR HOME GROUND THIS YEAR. I know, I know, build a bridge. Just needed to whinge about it one more time.
  10. Looking at the replay, Hogan's free kick half way through the last quarter when he was held occurred just outside the corner of the goal square. But the filthy maggot lined him up on a ridiculous angle that passed through the middle of the side of the square. No excuses for the horrid kick of Jesse's but he should have been well around in front of goal. I'm also well aware that it wouldn't have changed the outcome but the man should have had 8.
  11. Defensively they were running their zoning principles. Players were switching opponents all afternoon. It took 6 goals in the third quarter for the message to come out to man up. As soon as they did, a long bomb came in, nobody stayed down and the saints scored again. Their forwards just kept shuffling themselves between defenders until they got a mismatch and then they utilised it. They played the spaces between defenders very well too.
  12. A win tomorrow will have us jumping either Hawthorn or GWS and into the 8. Hope it's Hawthorn.
  13. Seems ridiculous doesn't it? They'll be 7 games in and won't have set foot anywhere other than their home ground.
  14. I'm not convinced that either of the teams are that great. NM have hardly beaten anyone of note except Adelaide and that as at Etihad. The Doggies 4 wins have been against teams in the bottom 6. If NM don't finish in the top 4 this year they never will. They only have 5 games away from their home stadium all year. Such a joke.
  15. I think it means if you play slightly less crap than your opposition, you win.
  16. Finally. Some Doggies forwards working together. And then rhat happens
  17. Riewoldt looked like he wanted to rip Bugg's head off in the NAB Cup game. Hope that boils over. We play better when there's 'feeling' between the two sides.
  18. From what I've seen of Dawes at MFC, I think he has a great off-field footy brain but on-field it seems to be hijacked by impulsivity.
  19. Strains and muscle tears can obviously be avoided by solid long term preparation but sprains and ligament damage, not really. So I guess it depends which type of injury people are referring to.
  20. I think they'd be tracking the young boys' GPS info pretty closely to ensure they aren't fudging their wellbeing surveys by saying they feel great when really they're probably a bit fatigued and sore. Maybe the club has fallen for it in the past and they're being extra cautious nowadays?
  21. AFL website has this. Player Injury Estimated Return Jay Kennedy-Harris Hamstring 5 weeks Mitch King Knee Season Jake Spencer Plantar fascia Test Aaron vandenberg Ankle 3 weeks Updated: Tuesday, April 26 So Dawes is playing this week?
  22. Trying to keep schoolgirls out of it.
