  1. It's a pity they aren't more p1$sed off about it. After all, that's his intent. The guy you try so hard to nail because he infuriates you that without realising, you're trying too hard.
  2. Like the no-look over-the-shoulder handball to Kent to set up our first goal? He got stopped with a tackle just before that but gave a second effort to get into the overlap. Was a great start for little Christian.
  3. How bizarre. I was just wondering how Jake would be going if he was part of the team the last few weeks. If he was getting a game, who's spot would he have?
  4. Health teacher Cards. Please move along, there is nothing to see here.
  5. Melb_vs_Coll.mov Adams incident with Harmes at the end of the 4th quarter. I smell MRP.
  6. If you don't have an AFL Live pass, try this one. http://www.afl.com.au/video/smart-replay
  7. Just watched the game and I have a question for those that were there. At the end of the 4th quarter, Adams exaggerated a push from Harmes and ran himself into the fence. After the ball came back in, the wide angled shot showed Adams moving towards Harmes about 15-20 metres away from the ball. The TV coverage then zooms in for a little while, then when it zooms back out, Harmes is lying on the ground with trainers running towards him. Anybody see what happened?
  8. Will get 5 or 6. Not a good look from Ablett either, pushing Martin into an oncoming teammate that was lining him up from a distance.
  9. How ridiculous. If you don't have at least 1 interchange up your sleeve with a minute to go, you're a tool He should thank his lucky stars that Brown was even allowed on.
  10. Even more amazingly, when you watch the video, the goal umpire starts to signal what appears to be a 'touched' call, then stops, then goes back to seen position, then says she thinks it's a goal. wtf?
  11. Watched the game on the afl replay site today. Wasn't as bad as I expected given the comments I have heard from those that were there. Other than the result of course. I then watched the first quarter of the Dons and Suns game afterwards. Essendon were a very different team this week. They were playing far more cohesively and seemed to have a more 'on the same page' look about them. Contrast to us, the Suns punished their errors brutally and jumped them early. They seemed to expect a bit of a rabble and that's what they got. They used it to their advantage. In our defence, not only were the Dons more organised, they would have been really difficult to prepare for. With makeshift teams like them you never know what to expect. Scouting last week's game would have been pointless and possibly even detrimental. I think this contributed to our poor performance because it's hard to stand and deliver with little idea of what to expect. This doesn't provide them with an excuse for yesterday's performance, but I now know why Gus had said it was a tough game to prepare for. Next week won't show how far we have come. I'll be reserving that judgement for when we find out how many Friday. night games we get next year.
  12. Last time a team made a big deal against us it was Geelong last year. That served them well.
  13. Someone (at AFL.com.au) hasn't done their homework. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-04-01/the-round-two-bogeymen-who-will-haunt-your-side-this-week
  14. Looking forward to a Cripps v Petracca game later in the season.
  15. I was talking about our leadership group at work the other week and mentioned how I was surprised at Dunn being omitted from the leadership group. A suggestive reply from a 'casual' employee was "Maybe it's a sign?" Probably doesn't mean much normally except that this guy is a 'casual' employee because he spends the rest of the time working for the Melbourne Football Club. Just saying.
  16. Have been looking forward to this game for a while now. Unfortunately, our boys and I have been stopped at the front door by my life manager*. We have been told that Easter comes once a year and that we are not wasting any part of this weekend sitting down watching football. She has not decided on what we ARE doing, but has certainly decided what we ARE NOT doing. sigh I hope we win of course, but I hope it's a dull, boring and lifeless Fremantle style win so we don't miss too much. *-aka wife
  17. Can't wait to see who Bugg pi$$e$ off first. He's great at it at the best of times but against his ex teammates he might just go nuts. Stevie J is easy to fluster. We shall see.
  18. If we win 123-64 tomorrow, I think we'll finish on top. I don't care if it's "just the NAB cup". I'll take anything at this point.
  19. I think we also need to take into account that this will be Port's second NAB game so they have already had a competitive hit out to 'dust off the cobwebs'. Hate to start the year with excuses but we all need to be realistic as well.
  20. Feel sorry for the Aints to be honest. They jumped through flaming hoops for this mob to give them a guy that now can't even lace up the boots this year.
  21. it all depends on where you think we will finish next year. We may have given up a pick 6, 9 and 29 for 3,10, 44 If we have another bad year we could be giving up a pick 6, 2 and 29.
  22. So essentially PA got Toumpas for picks 50 and 68 and we straight swapped Howe for Kennedy and got picks 29 and 50 for Toumpas. Okaaaaaayyy
  23. I don't think he has liked being told that he has to work on this and that instead of being given the green light to do want he wants. Apparently Buckley wants him to be an Isaac Smith/Gunston type. Pretty sure they both run and tackle but anyway. Last person to leave with a chip on their shoulder about finally getting a chance to be appreciated for what they can do instead of being held accountable for what they can't do was Blease. Best of luck Howie. Think you might need it.
