  1. Langdon puts hands in the back of GWS player. Really, really soft. Usually that free never gets called no matter how blatant. This one was barely contact
  2. Half time crew on Fox called it out for being a bad call. Not in the spirit of the game. It was worse on replay, Langdon barely made contact.
  3. Half time. Dees: 6,2,38 GWS: 3,5,24
  4. Jesus. That is NEVER called.
  5. Weid has been alright in my opinion has been involved. Lever about to come back on
  6. Lever on the bench with his boot off
  7. Looks better than ever.
  8. Quarter time Dees: 4, 0, 24 GWS: 0, 5, 5
  9. Rivers looking back to his best too so far.
  10. GWS working so hard and getting nothing past our defence. They will give up shortly after half time if this continues and we could kick away. No idea who is backing up Flynn in the ruck yet. He will be exhausted by the end of the gmaw
  11. Petty again. Great work against Hogan
  12. Petty has been awesome so far
  13. I noticed last time we played how big their midfielders are. Tom Green is playing some amazing football this year and is 192cm as an inside mid. Hopper out is good for us as he really cracks in. Ward, Cogs, Toronto De Boer are all hard at the contest. Whitfield, Ash, Kelly and Kennedy with complementary outside run. The midfield battle will be great to watch. We should have them covered forward and back.
  14. I find it odd that we were so heavily penalised in our practice game and no other team has been until now. Harris Andrews was definitely having a winge after watching the replay. Gardiner a few minutes later complained openly about a decision against him but couldn't be penalised as the goal had already been kicked. Seems to defeat the purpose of the rule.
  15. Roughead has had a mare.
  16. Are you saying Geelong are the invaders and the bacteria was the gastro game?
  17. Is Tomlinson injured?
  18. I noticed this. I thought it was a fault with the long sleeve version but I assume that Langdon was wearing the long sleeves too?
  19. Ummm.. you guys do realise that we have just smashed Port Adelaide at home right?
  20. I havent been the biggest fan in the past and I would love Petty and Lever back but I am also happy to have Smith pushing for a position. He hasn't done much wrong so far this year IMO and looks at home out there right now. I cant remember seeing the terrible moments you mentioned (not doubting you) but he did have some excellent moments that I did see. There are a number of teams out there right now how would love to have him.
  21. Why not just post your opinion all the time? You used to be the poster I tended to agree with the most about a decade ago. I have found that I disagree with you a lot of the time nowadays, but I will still always read your posts and take on what you have said. It's Demonland. Just post what you are thinking and try not to overthink the responses that come your way. Edit: by the way. You are wrong on this one!
  22. Thanks mate. Pretty much as I thought. I just thought I might have missed something a little bit more official than John Ralph guessing that our salary cap is tight.
  23. He hasn't always been value. His form was fairly terrible for nearly 2 whole seasons. We didn't have much of a choice but to play him in 2019 as we had so many injuries. He played 7 games in 2020 and was asked to find another home for a reason. His turn around has been amazing and I tip my hat to him. It was 2020. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/946353/against-all-odds-neal-bullen-earns-contract-extension
  24. Interested to hear about these Cap issues. We have signed our big name players to long term deals last year so I already assumed that we would be tight, but has there been anything further reported on our salary cap? Jackson, Brayshaw, Sparrow and Spargo still out of contract I see.
  25. 1) offer him something between a) what he is worth - b) what we can afford. 2) make sure we offer him all the support available to become the best player he can be 3) be consistent with all the other players on the list to ensure we have on field success If he wants to leave after these things are done then there isn't anything in the clubs control. We are beyond needing a 'savior' or a player we screw our salary cap over. Don't pay him overs. We would get 2 first round picks for him and yes, we would lose the trade. Honestly, if he doesn't want to play for this club during this period then I would very reluctantly say goodbye.
