POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs St Kilda
It's beautiful isn't it? I am enjoying my football just as much as last year but in a completely different way. While I'm not looking forward to a loss, I'm simply not worried about it. I'm enjoying every game, celebrating ever win and am already looking forward to finals.

Shocking game from Petty today.

GAMEDAY: Rd 08 vs St Kilda
This is it. Despite playing 4 teams from last year's finals series we haven't truly been tested. Time to see where we are at. Port ran out their game well on Friday night and Saints have had a longer rest. I don't think the Cairns factor will be anywhere near as much as people are thinking.

TEAMS: Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
Hawthorn were behind by 5 goals at the final break. Let's count them out. 1. Tom Mitchell kicked a goal at around the 5min mark. 2. They got another at just after half way through the quarter. 3. They kick one more with 1 minute to go which reduces the margin to 10 points. 4. Didn't get. 5. Didn't get. The margin was irrelevant. We had put a big lead up and controlled the game to make time the enemy of our opposition. We have played this way for 2 seasons. Sam Mitchell even mentioned in his press conference that we had control of the game and the 10 point margin flattered them (paraphrasing). Fyi - disagreeing with you isn't 'Slamming' you.

NON-MFC: Round 8, 2022
Great player but it was the truly horrendous standard of the Bulldogs back 6 that has them in trouble. Port took 21 inside F50 marks in a relatively normal game. That's insane. It was almost comical how easily Port were marking the ball with minimal/no pressure. For comparison, Freo took 14 in a complete drubbing.

Rejuvenating My Best 22?
Mate. I thought you were the main man when it comes to best 22s around here? Why the [censored] have you named Langdon on the members wing?

TEAMS: Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
If not for the Essendon drug saga, Melksham would have already hit 200 games. He also would likely have played 100 games for the Demon's making him a life member. I would like to see him get to 200 as he is so close, but he has to earn it from here. If he doesn't then he can blame his original club.

Mark Robinson - AFL Coaches Wellbeing
The day to day AFL media bore the [censored] out of me. Begging for a bit of detailed analysis. The couch is the best but barely scratch the surface. I find myself enjoying AFL Exchange just because they focus on novelty things like the difference in space between the number 11s at each club and it's a bit more light hearted without being the boys club that most AFL shows are. How AFL 360 is even a show, let alone that it stars Robbo is beyond my comprehension.

2022 List and Contract Details
M.Brown, 31yo, 196cm M. Gawn, 30yo, 209cm M.Daw, 30yo, 195cm B.Brown, 29yo, 200cm S.May, 29yo, 193cm T.McDonald, 29yo, 195cm A.Tomlinson, 28yo, 194cm Thats a lot of height heading towards the twilight of their careers. We will need to focus more on bringing in some height through draft and trade over the next few years. I would particularly like to get some young rucks in to learn from Stafford, Gawn and Jackson.

Will Max Gawn ever be recognised as the best player in the league?
Mitchell gave huge praise for Maxy in his presser.

NON-MFC: Round 07, 2022
I heard him label a few solid players 'Champion' again last night. There were no 'He's kicked an impossible goal!' last night though which is a welcome change. Not sure why he still thinks it's impossible after he calls one nearly every game.

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Really looking forward to the Saints next week. They are currently struggling in Cairns.

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Bruest has kicked 205 behinds in his career. Dwayne has obviously never seen any of them.

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Just because you know something is going to happen means you can 100% negate it. We finished the quarter a few points down. They had thrown everything at as. I knew we would win at quarter time.

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
1st quarter was ok 2nd quarter was ok 3rd quarter was really good 4th quarter was ok. The thing is that I've watched most of Hawthorns games this year. I knew they would come out on the offensive early. They have pushed a number of good teams so far this year. We had 5 forced changes, we were missing our coach and had 2 coming back from COVID who were no doubt underdone. Your expectations are off.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn

The Rubicon was crossed.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Playing well. Hawthorn have jumped most teams early. They were always going to come hard early

Melbourne 2012 vs 2022
Jamar would give Gawn a decent opponent in the ruck. Taps directly to Beamer (every single time). Moloney would burst forward and throw it on the boot which would be easily intercepted by Lever, Petty and May. This is no way a dig at Moloney. He cops a bad wrap on here at times but his throw it on the boot tatic at stoppages would be destroyed by our current team. After it happens three times in a row the vein in Mark Neelds neck explodes from yelling into the phone too loud. Before Mark can make it to the ambulance, Cam Schwab notices that the blood coming out of Neelds vein is the perfect colour he has been looking for the players guernsey. Unfortunately we are still playing in the purple one with the fake collar. The following week Moloney is dropped and replaced by Magner
