Joel Smith set to sign new contract extension.
I had to look twice to see if this was Binman or Saty. Below average post by you here. All Dubdee really said is that he gets injured a hell of a lot. A performance based contract would be ideal. However, my personal opinion is that he wont be taking up much cap room anyway so two years is fine.

Do you remember that time that Viney thumped Tmac in a tackle at training? 6 years ago now! https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/jack-viney-and-tom-mcdonald-fight-at-melbourne-training-20160209-gmphtf.html- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD

Stevic had plenty of possessions but needs to stop targeting Gawn and Jackson. Plus every single disposal was a 50/50 allowing the opposition ruckman a chance. Combine this with the howler you mentioned above and I think you are right and we should drop Stevic. Salem would be the obvious replacement as his disposal is so much better- ROAD TO THE GRAND FINAL
Not me. My hatred of Geelong has surpassed my hatred of the pies. I want the Cats out as soon as possible to wipe the smugness off their faces.- CASEY: Rd 22 vs Brisbane
Insane to think how good he was in the VFL in his first year at the club. What the hell happened here?- NON-MFC: Round 23, 2022
That's a lot of options to go through. I would stick with the kimchi and fried chicken if I were you- NON-MFC: Round 23, 2022
Freo up by 2 goals. If both Sydney and Collingwood lose they will stay 3rd and be our opponent. If one of Sydney or Collingwood win then Freo will finish 4th and play away to Geelong. If both Sydney and Collingwood win they will finish 5th and play Carlton or WB.- Farewell Luke Jackson
I also absolutely love the way we as a club are committed to keep playing and developing our players to get the best out of them despite the obvious impending departure.- POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Stevic is the best umpire.- GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Fair enough. Just surprised that so many on here think he has only been doing it recently- GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
??? He has been for years!- GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.- TEAMS: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Really think he just needs a rest to freshen up. While he isnt the most damaging player, he sure has been good as that link up player on the wing this year. Sparrow is lucky imo.- TEAMS: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
His numbers have been good but he has looked absolutely buggered during games recently.- Lynden Dunn back supporting the Demons!
He was drafted at pick number 15. It's not like we plucked him from obscurity and were the only club who would have drafted him. I would argue that if any other club drafted him instead of the dees that he would have had a much better development pathway. He was drafted as a key forward and we had him playing as a hard tagger in the midfield. How many head coaches did he have during that time? The best ones were Danniher who left after 2 years and Roos who stopped playing him in favour of developing OMac. Despite all this he loves the club.- Lynden Dunn back supporting the Demons!
He was playing in that game. I'm going to give him a pass on that one even though it hurt at the time. Wouldn't you allow him to support both clubs?- Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown

Earlier you mentioned that you think he will more likely be a second round pick. I assume that as he is pulling big numbers and being named in the best teams whilst being an underager that he would excel further when he is playing agaisnt kids his own age next year. Therefore, I assume that he would be a certainty to be a first rounder. Is this a bit of an over simplification on my part?- Patrick Cripps FREE to play
I agree with most of this. I like the part about 'initiate contact '. It's a contact sport, contact is going to happen. The Willie Rioli case correctly went against this though so their was already ambiguity. Ultimately, it was a tad late and clumsy and did result in the other player being concussed. It probably should have got a week to keep it consistent with other results. I don't want to see players concussed but I can't see a way of eliminating it from the game without changing it completely.- Patrick Cripps FREE to play
I'm going to be the odd man out here. I didn't think it warranted a suspension. However, I thought he would be due to the incident causing concussion. I'm not a fan of the result determining the suspension but this is the way the AFL play it these days. I also don't think Nibbler or Chandler should have got such hard suspensions- Farewell Luke Jackson
He won't be a free agent though. We will need to trade for him. What are we going to have to give up? One of our first rounders?- Patrick Cripps FREE to play
No to both. I'm not a fan of the outcome being decided by the result and not the intent but understand the crackdown on head high injuries. I didn't think there was that much in it when I first saw the Cripps incident. He was contesting. He just got there far too late and braced for impact. 1 week for mine simply for the carelessness and impact.- Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown
