They took a punt on a 198cm, 35 year old ruckman which cost them very little in trade and salary cap in the off season. He just couldn't stay fit enough to get the job done. It might have paid off if they came up against another club with weaker rucks in the grand final. Personally I thought it wasn't a great pick-up at the time.

Pretty sure you have to turn 18 the year of the draft. He is 14 (May), so will turn 18 in 2025.

Tiernan Stynes is the same age and would be eligible for the same draft. I have no idea if he is even playing football anymore. He seems more focused on Basketball.

I would say he just hasn't drafted any which is the main problem. Stretch was an inside mid at junior level. He was a father son and I wouldn't blame Taylor for Billy not making it on the outside. Baker with a later pick isn't looking good. Too early to tell on Rosman. Jordon probably should have been developing as a wing but the club put him into the inside mid role. Taylor simply hasn't drafted any wingers or KPF to make a call in my opinion.

Hopefully they have a list spot and will let him train over summer. Fingers crossed.

I cant keep up with it all either. There are certain rules around how many you can have on your primary list dictates how many rookies you can have. It used to be easy as the rookie list was separate on the Demons official website. I got this from footywire. Rookies - Kade Chandler, Majak Daw, Deakyn Smith, Daniel Turner. No idea if that is right... where is Kye Declase?

We have 1 rookie spot available. We are pick 18. We might pass on the selection to use at a later date. That being a train on player over the summer before committing. I'm not 100% sure but based off what others have worked out.

So happy with the way it's turned out. I was surprised how relieved I was once we picked JVR. I really wanted a KPF in this draft and am happy we picked up one earlier rather than later. No way did I think Howes would be available at pick 39. We were linked to him in most phantom drafts at pick 19. Very glad we picked a taller midfielder with versatility. Adding Woewodin with our last pick is just the icing on the cake. This kid has gone from a potential rookie to a really promising talent in the last 12 months. His old man got the best out of himself and it seems Taj has the same attitude. No limits on this kid now he is in the system. He could be the best of the lot. A developing ruck is the last thing on my shopping list, but with the ruck merry go round that happens each year its not critical need.

Lol! I watched this part on repeat many times and grinned. In the week leading up to the final Matthew Llyod said we would need to use Langdon to tag Bailey Smith as he was the only one who could keep up with him. It made me [censored] angry that the media had no [censored] idea. Why the [censored] would we waste Langdon like that? Had he not seen the games this year where teams would switch the play to avoid Langdons wing?

Pretty sure he just had the one older brother?

Surely you have blind faith in JT like the rest of us do at this point? They were tipped to go higher. They didn't. There is likely a reason for it. JT saw them on the board and said no. That's all I need to know.
