  1. Sick of the inevitable excuses. Hawthorn were pretty young when they won a flag. Being young is not an excuse for being uncompetitive for 1.5 quarters. End of story.
  2. I'm sorry but since when do we make a decision on our coaching based on what one pimply faced kid wants? Scully has no say, should have no say, and frankly I'm sick of the notion that this kid is running the show with his demands. I doubt it's true, and even if it was, we wouldn't be listening to him. If Bailey is not the best coach we can have in 2012, then he should be gone.
  3. Yep, many of the regulars who sit around us were a no show today. Pretty pathetic. It didn't even rain. Melbourne supporters need the same dose of harden the f' up as our players.
  4. Shuffling the deckchairs. Sad. We are going to get slaughtered!
  5. And he nearly took out Jamar going for a mark that wasn't his. Jamar got up quite gingerly after that, and was rightly [censored]. I'd have give him a mouth-full too. If only he went in with as much intent into packs and tackles as he did marks in the goal square when the game is gone.
  6. How about getting Tapscott to lay a hip and shoulder on bloody Rioli?! FFS he just rips us a new one every single time we play them. He's just taking the [censored] with his performances against us. I just need someone to put him on his ass, make him feel a bit of pain. Sick and tired of the same old players bending us over every time we play them. Bennell should have played on him from the first bounce. At least make Bennell accountable and make him actually do something during a game. Ugh, just so sick of being such a joke.
  7. I refuse to give Green votes. He was selfish and soft today. Really really struggling, and it hurts me to say because I really admire him. 6- Jones 5- Rivers 4- Petterd 3- Howe 2- Martin 1- Tapscott
  8. Yeah sure, they had a dip... for about two a half quarters and then sh*t went against us and then everybody just shut up shop. I don't care that we lost, I expected it, but it's how we keep losing that is unacceptable. Why should we sit in the stands and support the players until the final siren when the players themselves don't seem to give a sh*t or want to actually fight out a match? It's embarrassing and humiliating. And Dean Bailey, FFS what the hell was that? Why is his default panic move dropping Watts back into the hole? Why the f' was Trengove in the backline when we were crying out for some talent in the middle? Why can we not play under pressure? Dumb coaching.
  9. Great. Should have stayed in bed.
  10. It's true that Scully hasn't asked for all the hype and attention, but only he can put a stop to it and he hasn't. He could have made his decision known by now, spent a few days looking at contracts and working it out. His stubborn attitude is the cause of all this media attention and I for one have stopped feeling sorry for him. He has put himself in this limbo so he has to deal with the hype. Sadly the rest of us supporters and teammates and club officials have to go along for the ride too.
  11. We are going to get smashed. Good times ahead
  12. I have no doubt that his mind is already made up, which means he is either a coward too scared to tell the club, or he's selfish and holding out for even more money even though he wants to stay. One way or the other, he now has a bit of time off to work it out and make a decision. It's impossible to keep dragging this out for another 2 months.
  13. You know what, I've supported Scully long enough but it's just [censored] now. He has at least a week off now to consider what he wants and he has to man the [censored] up and make a decision or just [censored] off. We have other contracts to sort and he surely knows what he wants now. Sort it out Scully FFS you're a grown up.
  14. And Dunn will win an AVN award (Google it), Watts best new comer.
  15. Losing to Richmond in 2009 was a game that actually meant something in the grand scheme of things and was the greatest loss we've ever had.
  16. This wouldn't be an issue if Melbourne supporters actually turned up to games. It's a problem that we have created and only we can resolve. Go to every home game, no exception, and help us break even in these games so that we don't have to sell home games and the AFL has no excuse to schedule our home games at Etihad Stadium. Until Melbourne supporters can do that, we have no leg to stand on and nothing to complain about. It is the club's first responsibility to ensure that we have enough money to keep going.
  17. Will we ever stop needing new talent? If we can be the only club to actually gain real stars out of the next two drafts, with the exception of GWS/GC, we will put ourselves that far ahead of the pack it's not funny. Of course I want Scully to stay, but it's good to know that there is some positive light at the end of this very long dim tunnel.
  18. Please please please let one result go our way this week, and let North win. As disgusted as I feel saying this, because I loath North Melbourne and I wish them nothing but pain, we need to keep in touch with the Dogs if we're any chance of making the 8. Sydney losing and Essendon winning has totally f'ed us up to be honest. We are only a slim chance of making finals now. We're going to have to pull some spectacular games out of our behinds or rely on everyone else completely blowing up to pieces. I thought Essendon were well on their way to doing that, but apparently not. Bastards! Although realistically even if we do make finals, we're likely to get smashed first up. I'm thinking I rather finish 9th, give the boys some fire in the belly to go much harder next year, and not suffer a crushing loss to West Coast, or far worse... Carlton. *Shudder*.
  19. Next two weeks are dead, gone, finished. We won't get close to Hawthorn or Geelong. If we escape with less than 10 goal losses that would be a miracle quite frankly. Carlton are the ones I think we could possibly beat, if they are still missing some key players and we are at our best, devoid of injuries and everyone is firing. They are struggling without Waite and Jamison, but their small forwards are still a cause for concern, not to mention their midfield. If Judd misses the game due to the impending birth of his child, we could seriously pinch this one. And I'm sure the players haven't forgotten the words spoken after our last encounter. The AFL royally screwed us by giving us a home game at Etihad. We could have beaten the Eagles at the G, but not at Etihad. What a scheduling joke that is!
  20. Is it possible that he only played a half? Not good news if he didn't get up for this match!
  21. Agreed. It is a lot harder to defend than attack. He has been doing a great job shutting down small forwards this season, which is a credit to him.
  22. If he has ongoing knee problems then good luck to GWS trying to build a team around him. I did the same injury Scully did almost two years ago and thus far I have only regressed. Hope it's nothing too serious though and hopefully not the same knee! Poor kid.
  23. RR has been sprouting negative crap about Scully for 6 months now. He clearly posted about Scully not singing the song as an indication that his views on Scully have been vindicated. My sarcastic add on was definitely deserved, but it takes nothing away from the rational explanation that followed. Yet, here we are, talking about a kid who is clearly injured, clearly wasn't around where the song was sung, and is now being questioned about it by supporters who spent the night on the couch eating chips. If you can't put 2 and 2 together and work out what happened fine, but if I give you the answer and tell you it's 4 and then you argue that I'm probably going to GWS with my superior math skills, then I give up.
  24. I mentioned THREE times the fact that he was probably still getting treated, but the discussion continued with "he should have been there even if he was in the middle of a cardiac arrest". Seriously?
