186 points of utter humiliation. This loss is either going to break this club, or it will make it. Time for somebody to stand up and do something. Bailey, coaching staff, leadership group and football department need to go away.
-
Agreed 100%. Nobody should remain standing after this game if they had anything to do with the result. Luckily for the players most of them are young, so they will be spared, but some serious questions also need to be asked of our entire leadership group. Moloney subbed off with 0 possessions? Green with 8 disposals, 1 in the first half? This is the sort of shite that kills football clubs. We have clawed our way back from extinction and in one afternoon have gone 20 steps backwards. It's humiliating, it's embarrassing and it hurts me to see.
-
And Trengove leading tackler in the game at 3/4 time. Those three at least seem to give a crap about this club.
-
Oh god
-
Ha! Put that on a poster and hang it in the rooms post game. Beautiful.
-
Shame we can't sub two players off. Green deserves to be subbed to Casey for the remainder of 2011.

I know, and I'm sure I'll cop a lot of crap for it, but I will never not support this club or buy a membership, but [censored] me I don't think I have done anything to deserve this sort of miserable suffering. The club has to do something during the week to show me that they are serious about never ever ever repeating this sort of thing ever again. Dropping Green/Moloney would be a great start. Announcing that Bailey will not coach us in 2012 would be another. NEVER PLAYING WATTS DOWN BACK EVER AGAIN WOULD ALSO BE VERY NICE!!! And the worst thing about it all... we play my most hated team in the universe next week and we'll probably come out and smash them
-
Fine. This club is taking a baseball bat and smashing my goddamn kneecap with the crap that they are serving us right now. Better?
-
I have been a devout supporter of this club for 13 years. I go to every Melbourne game, I buy a membership, I donate to the club, but I am absolutely 100% done. This is not an emotional, angry, over the top reaction, this is me making a decision that until Dean Bailey and Brad Green are no longer there, I am not going to participate in supporting this club. My membership money will still be there, but I won't be. I have had a gutfull of being kicked in the nuts by this club. If Bailey is coaching us next week and Brad Green is not rotting at Casey where he should have been weeks ago, then I won't be wasting my time on this club. Watching that first half was like having someone punch me in the face over and over again. I feel physically ill. Never ever ever again should we have to put up with this sort of [censored].
-
This is worse than any defeat I have ever witnessed. I'm absolutely done. This club needs to find some [censored] leadership and some balls.

We are a [censored] joke and I'm sick of it. Enough is enough already.

A precursor of things to come no doubt

FRACTURED FAIRY TALES AND OTHER FANTASIES
Jaded No More replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
A 15 goal smashing will just top off this week nicely. It's going to be mighty ugly. Good thing I don't give a crap about this season anymore. -
I don't think we've made any real positive steps forward this season, and the only reason we'll even get to 10 wins is because of the easy draw we had compared to last season. The games won benchmark is stupid, and I for one hope that the board has better KPIs to measure Dean against.
-
I hear you. This season is so dead to me. I'm going to go to the games (not going to Geelong this week), but the interest and motivation is non existent. Also I can't eat bananas so I'm a cheap date

Bloody Mark Jamar loved speeding down Centre Rd back when he used to live in the area with his ute. He almost ran me over/ smashed into me about a dozen times. Back then he was also a massive dud, so I used to get seriously shitty with him. Now he can run me over if he so wishes because he's a gun B) I see Jordie McKenzie at the regular pub I go to in Brunswick. He is a massive nerd, but completely adorable. I'm pretty sure I made him blush a bit. Poor child.

So, I really don't have time to read 3 pages. Can I just get a one word summary regarding the world ending, the club shutting down and Green being put on trial for murder?
-
Gonna order one via the Demon shop tomorrow, and it's gonna go right to the top of the pile on the bedside table of "books I really need to read but have no time/energy to" B) Will seriously read this though. Very excited to get my head into the Jurrah story. Also listened to the interview on 3AW on my way home and thought how incredibly far Jurrah has come in terms of media performance. He speaks really well now!
-
198% agree. BEAT THE F' OUT OF THOSE PACK OF SCUM!!!!!
-
Works out absolutely perfectly for my birthday weekend plans, plus we are on FTA B) We probably won't make finals and Port won't either, so no wonder we get the Sunday game. Still a decent break and I assume that should we make finals, we'll again score the Sunday spot, so a long enough turnaround after a relatively short trip.
-
Do whatever the hell you want (and how pathetic that those who take offense to what I'm saying claim that those of us who go to games have no lives ), but don't dare whinge that we have to sell home games, play at Etihad and scrounge money to cover our debts.
-
If you seriously think that, than you really don't get the point of this thread. I bet that there were 10,000 supporters who could have gone on Sunday, had nothing better to do, but chose not to because it was cold, the team isn't playing well or they just couldn't be bothered. If you had more important things to do, than nobody is going to blame you. Seriously, why is it that we can complain about selling home games to Darwin and Etihad and having to play at SS every year, but we can't complain about poor crown turnouts?
-
We are never going to win premierships if Bate and Dunn are a core part of our attacking zone. Harsh, but true. We have to stop falling into these traps, the sames one that left us with the most horrible. aging, useless list in 2007 (and from which we are still trying to recover). Bate doesn't really cut it at the top level, he tries hard but has glaring deficiencies that will not change. Time to move him on. I'll be disappointed if we don't seek a trade for him at season's end. Same goes for Dunn and Warnock.
-
Heaven help this footy club if our supporters think along these lines and cancel their memberships next year to stay home and watch games from their couch. Every supporter will come up with 100 valid excuses as to why they can't/won't go, but none of them will stand up and say "I am part of the reason why Melbourne don't get blockbuster games, why Melbourne gets home games at Etihad and has to drive to Geelong every single year, and sell home games to Darwin". We complain and whinge, but it's our doing. Sadly, those of us who go every week, without fail and without excuses, are the ones that have to suffer, along with the team. I'm not having a dig at your specifically and good on you for going today, but seriously I just really loath Melbourne supporters sometimes. Half the idiots who whinge about this club are the same ones who don't turn up to games and don't contribute financially, and as far as I'm concerned they can [censored] off.
