  1. Whats not well documented about Fitzy is that prior to his TAC year he was considered a possible top 10 pick. It was in his final year at High school that he was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and subsequently his draft ranking dropped accordingly. Given that we accept that big men take longer to develop, imagine having to cope with CFS at the same time. Since Jack has been at MFC he has had to endure a raft of injuries and of course the discovery of Diabetes earlier this year an illness that requires intense management and life style changes. It seemed like every time the kid had some clean air something would pop up out of nowhere and put him back to square one, and yet he kept going. Well done Jack. Over the past 4 years you have shown outstanding intestinal fortitude. Well done to the club as well for sticking by you. This is one instance where we can rightfully say we developed a player properly.
  2. I swear to god P_man, if you dis ONE D again i'll put you on ignore. As for Satyricon, I find his cult like zeal for all things demon a positive. He balances the overwhelming negativity that prevails these forums with Tom Cruise like enthusiasm. In many ways he is our Yin to Stuies Yang.
  3. Yeah I believe the loan was paid back in full. To be honest I don't understand peoples negativity toward young Schwab. One day we will all come to appreciate Cams real legacy. The finest collection of office desks ever assembled by any sporting organisation in the world !
  4. Till this day I haven't forgiven Thompson. What a smart arse!
  5. Spoke to Norm Smith via the Ouija board today. Definitely not interested. Jock McHale still undecided.
  6. The way people carry on around here you'd think Peter Jackson is Warren Buffet's smarter brother. There are no messiahs or white knights that will single handedly pull us out of the crapper. Haven't we learned that there are no quick fixes. This desperate mentality for a saviour is what got us into this position in the first place. Jackson is one piece in a complex jigsaw. Personally I believe that Jackson may prove to be a good CEO, even an outstanding one, but then again I have also foolishly placed my faith in the likes of Neeld and Schwab. Not to mention Bailey, McLardy, Gutnick, Peter Moore, Kelvin Templeton, Big Carl, Graham Molloy and of course Diamond Jim Tilbrook. I have seen far to many saviours come and go to get carried away by the arrival of another. This time I will hold my judgement until his actions become aparent rather than be seduced by words. I wish him well but a word of warning to all those on this forum who already worship him. He is human. It is entirely feasible that he just might not live up to your very high expectations.
  7. Thanks for the article "NOTA". Well done Mitch and lets hope this is the first of many games in the red and the blue.
  8. Well done to all those involved. From a personal perspective I can appreciate how a call from a fellow demon would be more likely to result in a successful outcome. As opposed to a call from a telemarketer. Great initiative from the club. P.S Wouldn't mind seeing Dylan in the Red and Blue as well.
  9. Big mistake. Nothing good can come of this. Just walk away Mark.
  10. Yeah dogs are ace, leave dogs out of this! Beemer on the other hand is a classless Bogan.
  11. There isn't a Forward line player on the planet who would shine given our delivery today. Fitzy is quick and I mean seriously quick, on a lead with good delivery he would have us salivating. Given all that he has had to contend with over the past two years I think his development has been a credit to him and the club. His contested overhead mark in the 4th is testimony to that. A year ago that would have not been achievable. As others have said he consistently performs well at VFL level and with time he may well do the same at AFL level.
  12. She's got my vote. All Hail President Tottie
  13. Beat me to the Punch Col. Ian Dicker was the man who resurrected Hawthorn. All the hard yards were done prior to Jeff arriving including negotiating a truce and eventual peace between warring factions within the club, something Jeff could never have achieved.
  14. Neeld is just one poor decision in a long conga line of poor decisions. He is not the sole reason we are failing only part of the reason. A succession of poor administrators and boards have been our undoing.
  15. Fitzy has earn't his chance. Since his return from injury he has been consistently amongst our best. He deserves to have a sustained crack at AFL. Neeld needs to reward his efforts with a decent stint in the AFL, anything else will further demonstrate to me that he is not capable of being a senior coach. The same can be applied to Couch. Reward effort and performance and start giving these kids the chance they deserve.
  16. Given the situation that we find ourselves in I believe that the Board is now duty bound to finally release the Andrews Report. This disclosure may indeed be unpalatable but essential.
  17. I said before the I believe that the AFL would be better served by an independent panel of Doctors who rotate throughout the clubs on a roster system. Maybe rotating a Doctor every year or every two years. The doctors are not answerable to the clubs and report back to the AFL . In all medical matters the Doctors have the final say and all conditioning and fitness staff report directly to the Doctor.
  18. I certainly hope we do not take the" White Knight "option. It's time for us to stop relying on the generosity of wealthy individuals to survive as a club and to stand as our own entity.
  19. I think the dim witted reporter has confused Txt messaging and emails. Never the let the facts get in the way of a good story>
  20. Thanks Hatchman, much appreciated.
  21. Thanks Big red, much appreciated
  22. Pure gold. The scary thing is you may have planted an idea.
